Abstract:
The present invention relates to a shoe and a manufacturing method
thereof, wherein the invention comprises: a shoe upper; a bottom sole for
blocking the lower part of the shoe upper; and a sole cover which is
extended from the lower part of the upper of the shoe, and enhance the
circumference of a sole, wherein an edge of the bottom sole and a lower
edge of the sole cover are connected along a lower edge of the upper of
the shoe by backstitching, the sole is attached to a lower side of the
bottom sole, the sole cover is turned inside out to face the sole such
that the sole cover is attached to enclose an outer surface and a lower
edge of the sole, and a window is attached to a lower side of the sole
including the end of the sole cover. According to the present invention,
instead of the existing methods, a new method is performed to manufacture
a shoe which has simple shoemaking steps, whereby time and effort for
shoemaking can be reduced, and further, said shoe is light and has
excellent sweat-absorbing power and high wearability, thereby minimizing
fatigue of the feet.Claims:
1. A shoe, comprising: an upper layer; a bottom layer configured to cover
the lower side of the upper layer; and a sole cover which extends from
the lower side of the upper layer and surrounds the surroundings of a
sole, wherein along the rim of the lower side of the upper layer, the
edge of the bottom layer and the rim of the lower side of the sole cover
are sewed and connected, and the sole is attached to beneath the bottom
layer, and the sole cover is turned inside out to face the sole and is
bonded surrounding an outer circumferential surface of the sole and the
rim of its lower side, and an insert is attached to beneath the sole
including an end portion of the sole cover, and a cushion member is
disposed between the bottom layer and the sole and is bonded, wherein the
cushion member comprises: a cushion pad which is attached to a foot heel
beneath the bottom layer; a silicon pad which is attached to beneath the
bottom layer including the cushion pad; and a memory foam which is
attached to beneath the silicon pad.
2. The shoe of claim 1, wherein in a state that the sole cover is positioned on an outer surface of the upper layer, the rim of its lower side is sewed on the rim of the lower side of the upper layer.
3. The shoe of claim 2, wherein the surface of the sole cover, which surface is turned inside out is made from the same material as the surface of the upper layer.
4. A method for manufacturing a shoe, comprising: manufacturing an upper layer, a bottom layer which covers the lower side of the upper layer, and a sole cover which extends from the lower side of the upper layer and covers the surroundings of the sole; along the rim of the lower side of the upper layer, sewing an edge of the bottom layer and a rim of the lower side of the sole cover and connecting them; attaching the sole to beneath the bottom layer; turning inside out the sole cover to face the sole and attaching the same to surround an outer circumferential surface of the sole and the rim of its lower side; and attaching an insert to the bottom of the sole including an end portion of the sole cover and attaching the sole to beneath the bottom layer, wherein attaching the sole to beneath the lower surface of the bottom layer comprises attaching the sole to beneath the cushion member after the cushion member is attached to beneath the bottom layer before the sole is attached, wherein the cushion member comprises: a cushion pad which is attached to a foot heel beneath the bottom layer; a silicon pad which is attached to beneath the bottom layer including the cushion pad; and a memory foam which is attached to beneath the silicon pad.
5. The method of claim 4, wherein the step for connecting the upper layer, the bottom layer and the sole cover comprises: connecting the rim of the lower side of the upper layer and the edge of the bottom payer by sewing the same; and in a state that the sole cover is positioned on an outer surface of the upper layer, connecting the rim of the lower side of the sole cover and the rim of the lower side of the upper layer by sewing the same.

TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present invention relates to a shoe and a manufacturing method thereof, and in particular to a shoe manufacturing method which makes it possible to save manufacturing time and efforts in such a way to integrate an upper layer, an intermediate insert and a heel cover, thus manufacturing shoes with a good wearing feeling.
BACKGROUND ART
[0002] Generally speaking, shoes are used when walking and working so as to protect or decorate feet. The shoes are generally hand-made. For the sake of high quality shoes, it needs to describe a hand-made procedure.
[0003] First of all, the shoe manufacture consists of an upper layer process wherein an upper layer formed of leather, synthetic leather, cloth, etc. all surrounding an upper side of a foot is manufactured, and a lower part process wherein an insert, etc. is bonded after an upper layer is manufactured, for thereby finishing the lower side of a shoe.
[0004] It needs lots of time and efforts to manufacture hand-made shoes because a shoe manufacture process, more specifically, a lower part manufacturing process consists of a step for covering an intermediate sole on a foot pattern, a step for carving an intermediate sole, a step for covering a back portion of an intermediate sole with a leather after a bond is applied on an outer surface of an intermediate sole, a step for spraying softener on an upper layer, a step for inserting a heel pattern after a bond application, a step for inserting a cable core after a bond application, a step for painting an inside skin, a step for drafting a foot pattern, a step for drafting a front and side of a foot pattern, a step for covering a back foot pattern, a step for balancing a rear side, a step for sewing a rear part using a tacker, etc., the procedures of which retails considerable time and effort. For this, some manufactures are focusing on only designs, not considering functions.
DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION
[0005] Accordingly, the present invention is made in consideration of the above mentioned problems. It is an object of the present invention to provide a shoe and a manufacturing method thereof which are directed to simplifying a shoe manufacturing process whereby to save shoe manufacturing time and efforts, while enhancing the quality of shoes.
[0006] Other objects of the present invention would be well understood with the following descriptions.
[0007] To achieve the above objects, there is provided a shoe comprising an upper layer; a bottom layer configured to cover the lower side of the upper layer; and a sole cover which extends from the lower side of the upper layer and surrounds the surroundings of a sole, wherein along the rim of the lower side of the upper layer, the edge of the bottom layer and the rim of the lower side of the sole cover are sewed and connected, and the sole is attached to beneath the bottom layer, and the sole cover is turned inside out to face the sole and is bonded surrounding an outer circumferential surface of the sole and the rim of its lower side, and an insert is attached to beneath the sole including an end portion of the sole cover.
[0008] In a state that the sole cover is positioned on an outer surface of the upper layer, the rim of its lower side is sewed on the rim of the lower side of the upper layer.
[0009] The surface of the sole cover, which surface is turned inside out is made from the same material as the surface of the upper layer.

[0011] The cushion member comprises a cushion pad which is attached to a foot heel beneath the bottom layer; a silicon pad which is attached to beneath the bottom layer including the cushion pad; and a memory foam which is attached to beneath the silicon pad.
[0012] According to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method for manufacturing a shoe, comprising
[0013] manufacturing an upper layer, a bottom layer which covers the lower side of the upper layer, and a sole cover which extends from the lower side of the upper layer and covers the surroundings of the sole;
[0014] along the rim of the lower side of the upper layer, sewing an edge of the bottom layer and a rim of the lower side of the sole cover and connecting them;
[0015] attaching the sole to beneath the bottom layer;
[0016] turning inside out the sole cover to face the sole and attaching the same to surround an outer circumferential surface of the sole and the rim of its lower side; and
[0017] attaching an insert to the bottom of the sole including an end portion of the sole cover and attaching the sole to beneath the bottom layer.
[0018] Connecting the upper layer, the bottom layer and the sole cover comprises connecting the rim of the lower side of the upper layer and the edge of the bottom payer by sewing the same; and in a state that the sole cover is positioned on an outer surface of the upper layer, connecting the rim of the lower side of the sole cover and the rim of the lower side of the upper layer by sewing the same.
[0019] Attaching the sole to beneath the lower surface of the bottom layer comprises attaching the sole to beneath the cushion member after the cushion member is attached to beneath the bottom layer before the sole is attached.

ADVANTAGEOUS EFFECTS
[0021] In the shoes and a manufacturing method thereof according to the present invention, it feels good to wear shoes. A cushioning function can be obtained while reducing the weight of the shoes. Costs and efforts for manufacturing the shoes can be saved.

[0027] As shown in FIG. 1, the shoe 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises an upper layer 11, a bottom layer 12, a sole cover 13, a sole 17 (shown in FIG. 5) and an insert 18.
[0028] Here, the upper layer 11 may be made from a material such as leather, artificial leather, cloth, etc. to cover the upper side of a shoe. The upper layer 11 has an opening 11a open on its lower side. The upper layer 11 is made in an upper layer process. It is made in a 3D shape through a sewing and bonding process using a single piece or multiple pieces of materials. It may be made in a single layer structure or may be made in a two-layer or more layer structure in such a way to bond an inner skin and an outer skin on an inner side and an outer side.
[0029] The bottom layer 12 may be made from leather, artificial leather, cloth, etc. and may include a single or a plurality of materials as a member designed to cover the bottom of the foot by covering the upper layer.
[0030] The sole cover 13 may be made from leather, artificial leather, cloth, etc. and extends from the lower side of the upper layer 11 and is designed to cover the surroundings of the sole 17 (shown in FIG. 5). It may be formed of two materials like in the embodiment of the present invention. The materials may have a rim shape matching with the rim of the lower side of the upper layer 11. For consistency with the upper layer 11, the sole cover 13 may be manufactured in such a way that the surface 13C (shown in FIGS. 2 and 6) to be turned inside out when the shoe 10 is almost finished has the same color and is made from the same material as the surface of the upper layer 11.
[0031] In the upper layer, the edge of the bottom layer 12 and the rim of the lower side of the sole cover 13 are sewed along the rim of the lower side of the upper layer 11. At this time, the sole cover 13 is sewed on the rim of the lower side of the upper layer 11 in a state that the sole cove 13 is positioned on the outer surface of the upper layer 11. Here, the lower sides of the upper layer 11 and the sole cover 13 represent the sides which face the ground in the course of the typical use of the shoes 10, the term will have the same meaning in the following descriptions.
[0032] The sole 17 (shown in FIG. 5) is a key member belonging to the bottom of the shoe 10 and is made from a material such as a synthetic resin, etc. which has a cushioning function and is attached to beneath the bottom layer 12.
[0033] The sole cover 13 is turned inside out in the downward direction to face the sole 17 and is attached surrounding the outer circumferential surface and the rim of the lower side of the sole 17 (shown in FIG. 5) along with the cushion member 14 15, 16 (shown in FIG. 5). At this time, the sole cover 13 may be bonded to the side surfaces of the cushion members 14, 15, 16 and the sole 17 and may be also bonded to beneath the sole 17, respectively.
[0034] The insert 18 is positioned at the lower most portion of the shoe 10 and comes into contact with the ground when in use and may include a heel which raises the height of the heel portion of the shoe 10, higher than the front side of the shoe. The insert 18 is bonded to beneath the sole 17 including the end portion 13a of the sole cover 13 and may have different shapes and sizes depending on the user or the desired function.
[0035] As shown in FIG. 5, cushion members 14, 15, 16 are disposed between the bottom layer 12 and the sole 17 and are bonded between them.
[0036] The cushion member 14, 15, 16 comprises a cushion pad 14 which has an air layer attached to a foot heel beneath the bottom layer 12 and is made from a cushion absorption material, a silicon pad 15 which is made from silicon attached to beneath the bottom layer 12 including the cushion pad 14 or the like, and a memory foam 16 which is attached to beneath the silicon pad 15.

[0040] As shown in FIG. 3, the edge of the bottom layer 12 and the rim of the lower side of the sole cover 13 are sewed along the rim of the lower side of the upper layer 11 and are connected. At this time, the method or connecting the upper layer 11, the bottom layer 12 and the sole cover 13 comprises a step for sewing the rim of the lower side of the upper layer 11 and the edge of the bottom layer 12 and for connecting them, and a step for sewing the rim of the lower side of the sole cover and the rim of the lower side of the upper layer 11 in a state that the sole cover is positioned on the outer surface of the upper layer 1 and for connecting them. As shown in FIG. 4, the sewing process is conducted in such a way that the upper layer 11 and the sole cover 13 are sewed by a sewing needle 2 as the upper layer 11 connected to the bottom layer 12 by a sewing is forced to pass through between an upper roller 1 and a lower roller 3 along with the sole cover 13.
[0041] As shown in FIG. 5, the sole 17 may be bonded to beneath the bottom layer 12 by bond. At this time, the cushion member 14, 15, 16 is attached to beneath the bottom layer 12 before the sole 17 is attached to beneath the bottom layer 12, and the sole 17 is attached to beneath the cushion member 14, 15, 16. At this time, a wooden pattern 4 may be installed in the upper layer 11. The cushion member 14, 15, 16 may comprise a cushion pattern 14 attached to the heel of the foot beneath the bottom layer 12, a silicon pad 15 which is attached to beneath the bottom layer 12 including the cushion pad 14, and a memory foam 16 which is attached beneath the silicon pad 15.
[0042] As shown in FIG. 6, when the sole 17 is attached, the sole cover 13 is turned inside out in the downward direction to face the sole 17, and the surface 13b (shown in FIG. 2) positioned outside the sole cover 13 is positioned inside, and the surface 13c positioned inside is positioned outside, and the sole cover 13 is attached surrounding the outer surface and the rim of the lower side of the sole 17 including the cushion members 14, 15, 16 (shown in FIG. 5). Therefore, the end portion 13a of the sole cover 13 extends up to the rim of the lower side of the sole 17 and is bonded. If the sole cover 3 is turned inside out to face the sole 17, the sewed portions of the sole cover 13, the upper layer 11 and the bottom layer 12 become hidden from outside, so they cannot be seed from outside.
[0043] As shown in FIG. 7, when the sole cover 13 is bonded, the insert 18 is bonded to beneath the sole 17 (shown in FIG. 16) including the end portion 13a (shown in FIG. 6) of the sole cover 13.
[0044] In the shoe and method for manufacturing the same according to the present invention, the shoe making process can be made simpler, saving time and efforts, and the quality of shoes can be enhanced.
