Abstract:

A ball valve having an actuator of blow out prevention includes a valve body, actuator, and a ball. The valve body has a valve chamber inside thereof and a passageway, top bore, bottom bore extending from the valve chamber. The actuator has a connection portion penetrating through the top bore to the valve chamber, the connection portion has a round groove and a C-shaped buckle. The actuator serves to be rotated by an external driver. The ball inside the valve chamber serves to control the flow of the valve chamber. The ball has a connection hole engaging the connection portion of the actuator. The C-shaped buckle retains the actuator connected to the ball through buckling the round groove of the connection portion receiving inside the connection hole of the ball so that the actuator will not blow out by the pressure of the valve during a damage or maintenance.

Claims:

1. A ball valve having an actuator of blow out prevention comprising: a valve body having a valve chamber, a passageway extending from the valve chamber, a top bore, and a bottom bore; an actuator penetrating through the top bore into the valve body; the actuator connected to a valve driver to rotate the actuator; the actuator having a connection portion on an end thereof; the connection portion having a round groove; a ball arranged inside the valve chamber; the ball having a spherical surface serving to open and close the linking between the passageway and the valve chamber; the ball having a connection hole receiving the connection portion of the actuator; and a C-shaped buckle received into the round groove; an outer diameter of the C-shaped buckle being greater than a depth of the round groove; wherein the connection portion of the actuator penetrates the top bore and the connection hole, and the round groove of the connection portion is positioned inside the ball and is buckled by the C-shaped buckle so as to retain the actuator from blowing out of the ball; since the outer diameter of the C shaped buckle is greater than a depth of the round groove of the actuator; an outer side of an upper surface of the C shaped buckle around the connection hole resists against an inner wall of the ball and an inner side of the upper surface of the C shaped buckle is confined within the round groove so that the actuator will not relief from the ball.

2. The ball valve having an actuator of blow out prevention as claimed in claim 1, wherein the ball is a sphere or a hemisphere.

3. The ball valve having an actuator of blow out prevention as claimed in claim 1, wherein the C shaped buckle is a 360 buckle having a slit penetrating through a buckle body and each of two sides of the C shaped buckle is expanded.

Description:

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to valve, and particular to a ball valve having an actuator of blow out prevention to prevent damage or danger.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIOR ART

[0002] Known ball valve includes a valve body having a chamber and passageway linking to the chamber, a top bore, and a bottom bore. An actuator penetrates through the top bore into the chamber to rotate a ball inside the chamber to open or close the valve. The ball is arranged to a valve seat to control the flow of the fluid passing through the valve.

[0003] However, the actuator is easily blowing out from the valve body by the pressure of the fluid inside the valve during a maintenance or repair operation which is very dangerous to the operator and facility.

SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT INVENTION

[0004] Accordingly, the primary object of the present invention is to provide a ball valve having an actuator of blow out prevention to prevent danger and loss during operation.

[0005] To achieve above object, the ball valve having an actuator of blow out prevention includes a valve body, actuator, and a ball. The valve body has a valve chamber inside thereof and a passageway, top bore and a bottom bore extending from the valve chamber. The actuator has a connection portion penetrating through the top bore to the valve chamber, the connection portion has a round groove and a C-shaped buckle. The actuator serves to be rotated by an external driver. The ball inside the valve chamber serves to control the flow of the valve chamber, the ball has a connection hole engaging the connection portion of the actuator. The C-shaped buckle retains the actuator connected to the ball through buckling the round groove of the connection portion receiving inside the connection hole of the ball so that the actuator will not blow out by the pressure of the valve during a damage or maintenance.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0006] FIG. 1 is a schematic view showing a preferable embodiment of the present invention.

[0007] FIG. 2 is a cross-section view showing the preferable embodiment of the present invention.

[0008] FIG. 3A is a cross-section view showing the C-shaped buckle of the present invention.

[0009] FIG. 3B is a schematic view showing the C-shaped buckle of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0010] In order that those skilled in the art can further understand the present invention, a description will be provided in the following in details. However, these descriptions and the appended drawings are only used to cause those skilled in the art to understand the objects, features, and characteristics of the present invention, but not to be used to confine the scope and spirit of the present invention defined in the appended claims.

[0011] Referring to FIG. 1, a preferable embodiment of the present invention includes the following components.

[0012] A valve body 1 has a valve chamber 10 and a passageway 11 extending from the valve chamber 10. The valve body 1 has a top bore 101 and a bottom bore 103 on the top and the bottom respectively.

[0013] An actuator 2 penetrates the top bore 101 to the valve chamber 10. The actuator 2 is linked to a valve driver (not shown) to rotate the actuator 2. An end of the actuator 2 has a connection portion 20 and a round groove 21. A C-shaped buckle 22 can be buckled into the round groove 21.

[0014] A ball 3 is arranged inside the valve body 10. The ball 3 has a connection hole 30 to receive and engage the connection portion 20 of the actuator 2 so that the ball 3 can be rotated through the actuator 2. The ball 3 has a spherical surface 31 to block the passageway 11 so as to control the flow of the fluid passing through the valve. The spherical surface 31 can be turned towards the passageway 11 so as to close the valve to block the fluid from passing through the valve. The spherical surface can be turned away from the passageway 11 so as to allow the fluid passing through the valve. An end of the ball 3 is rotatably arranged to the bottom bore 103 of the valve body 1.

[0015] Referring to FIG. 2, the C-shaped buckle 22 is buckled into the round groove 21. The width of the C-shaped buckle 22 is wider than the depth of the round groove 21 so that the C-shaped buckle 22 buckled into the round groove 21 is protruded from the actuator 2.

[0016] The connection portion 20 of the actuator 2 is received into the connection hole 30 of the ball 3. The round groove 21 of the connection portion 20 penetrating the connection hole 30 is buckled by the C-shaped buckle 22. The protruded C-shaped buckle 22 will impeded by an inner wall of the ball so that the actuator 2 will be retained within the ball valve.

[0017] Through the buckling of the C-shaped buckle 22, the actuator 2 is retained by the ball 3 so that the actuator 2 will not blow out from the valve by the pressure inside the valve during operation or maintenance. The C-shaped buckle 22 is made of hard material such as metal, stainless steel, or metal alloy.

[0018] The present invention is thus described, it will be obvious that the same may be varied in many ways. Such variations are not to be regarded as a departure from the spirit and scope of the present invention, and all such modifications as would be obvious to one skilled in the art are intended to be included within the scope of the following claims.
