CLAIM OF PRIORITY
[0001] This patent application claims priority under 35 USC 119 (e) (1) from U.S. Provisional Patent Application Ser. No. 61/626,014 filed Sep. 19, 2011, of common inventorship herewith entitled, "Home Office Chair Cover."
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0002] The present invention pertains to the field of office furniture accessories, and more specifically to the field of fabric covering for chairs and coordinated desk and office sets and accessories in the same patterns.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0003] The prior art has put forth several designs for fabric coverings for chairs. Among these are:
[0004] U.S. Pat. No. 5,630,643 to Brian L. Scholten, James E. Abraham, Dale M. Groendal, Robert M. Scheper, Thomas R. Hahn and Douglas A. Smith describes an upholstered office chair with a two piece shell. This chair includes a base which supports a shell and cushion assembly in various fabrics and colors.
[0005] U.S. Pat. No. 4,840,426 to Burkhard Vogtherr and Manfred Elzenbeck describes an office chair in which a backrest and seat are articulated together. The resulting assembly is pivotally suspended from the rear end of the side arms which form a pivot point positioned at the center of gravity of the chair when occupied.
[0006] U.S. Pat. No. 6,572,194 to Roy A. True describes a chair arm having a removable decorative panel to permit the appearance of the chair to be easily changed to adapt to a variety of decors. The decorative panel is slidably received by the arm of the chair.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0012] Business offices have evolved over time. Business offices of the nineteenth century tended to be dark imposing places paneled in heavy woods like cherry or mahogany and illuminated by green shaded lamps. Office furniture was extremely heavy and dark in color. An executive's oak desk weighed half a ton and a maple filing cabinet weighed a lot also. With the advent of the twentieth century and a vertically stacking metal filing cabinet, office atmosphere and furnishings began to change. Office furniture evolved into a modular and mass produced system in which individual pieces are combined and standardized for an overall consistency of style and appearance. Fluorescent lighting brightens offices containing particle board desks and workspaces with cubicles, work stations and monitors. Filing cabinets now reside on a computer server. Despite these changes, individuals like to create an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere in their office or workspace. An employee brightens up their workspace with pictures, plants, scenic calendars or inspirational postings. One item that remains institutional in appearance is the office chair regardless of their comfort and ergonomic design.
[0013] The present invention, hereinafter referred to as Home Office Chair Cover, provides office workers with an affordable way to make their office chairs stylish and in line with their individual taste. The office chair cover of the present invention can be coordinated with desk and office sets and accessories in the same patterns. Using the present invention is a way to enhance one's workspace making it a home away home environment. Alternative names for the present invention are the Suite Covers, the Suite Seats, the Suite Wraps, the Office Suites or the Cube Wraps. The Home Office Chair Cover includes a product line of decorative form fitting seat covers, backrest covers and armrest covers designed for standard office chairs. These standard office chairs are the wheeled and height adjustable chairs common in most offices today. The Home Office Chair Cover line consists of form fitting, snugly tailored, elastic bordered and sturdy fabric slipcovers for chair seats, backrests and armrests. The seat covers are produced in a variety of solid colors and print patterns while the seatback and armrest covers are produced in a variety of colors and print patterns designed to complement the seat covers. The color palette for the Home Office Chair Cover product line is a lighter and brighter palette than traditional office decor. The office chair cover of the present invention can be coordinated with desk and office sets and accessories in the same patterns
[0014] For the initial offering, the Home Office Chair Cover is produced in a two piece set of covers for the standard office chair and a two piece set of covers for Battista Chairs. One piece of each set is a back rest cover and the other piece is a seat cover. Each set is offered in four colors and four prints. A two piece set of armrest covers is offered in four alternative colors and prints. The fabric is tough and durable, fire resistant, and water and stain resistant. The product line includes a basic version for general office use and a premium line for more upscale tastes. Designed to offer a sense of personalized comfort and expressive style to those who work in monotonous cubicles, the Home Office Chair Cover product line enables any office worker to instantly transform a standard task chair into an appealing and stylish piece of furniture. Offering a variety of colors and prints, an individual easily mixes and matches the colors and prints as desired. Office interior decorators can bulk order these covers and spice up office decor for an entire business.
[0015] The office chair cover of the present invention can be coordinated with desk and office sets and accessories in the same patterns.
[0016] Although this invention has been described with respect to specific embodiments, it is not intended to be limited thereto and various modifications which will become apparent to the person of ordinary skill in the art are intended to fail within the spirit and scope of the invention as described herein taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and the appended claims.
