Shoe with push button (or squeezable) device to activate sound recording and LED's for entertainment, educational, teaching purposes or to enhance the theme of the shoe

Abstract

When referring to "shoe" below, it is deemed to mean all types of footwear. Shoes having a push button or squeezable device on any part of the shoe (i.e. a buckle in the front of the shoe, on an ornament attached to the front of the shoe or in the top of the tongue of the shoe) which when pushed or squeezed triggers LEDs (of different colors preferably) and a sound recording teaching or educating or instructing the wearer on the alphabet, numbers, how to tie his/her shoelace, buckling his/her shoe and other educational, teaching or instructional topics or enhancing the theme of the shoe based on a cartoon character, movie character, book character, singer, actor, or nursery rhyme character. Perforations in the area the chip or device is stored permits a message stored in memory in the generator to be transmitted. The push button (squeezable) device is concealed by some material. In operation, when the device is pressed, pushed or squeezed, the LEDs are illuminated along with a sound recording of music and singing or sounds through a speaker. In use, the device can entertain by enhancing the theme of a shoe based on a cartoon character, movie character, book character, singer, actor, or nursery rhyme character or the device can instruct a child, toddler or infant on the alphabet, numbers, tying his/her shoelaces and other entertaining, teaching, educational and instructional topics. This invention refers to shoes and attachments primarily for children, preteens, infants and toddlers. The shoe includes a pressure activated tone generator/chip which is capable of storing and emitting abstract sounds, music, voice sounds and the like.

Description

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The recorded device with speaker can be placed on the tongue of any shoe and can be removable. On a shoe that is laced up, the sound recording chip can be placed on a Velcro fastener that is hinged to the side of the shoe and is fastened when the flap overlaps the laces. On a shoe that is buckled, the device can be placed on an ornament or beautifying item that is placed on top of the buckle itself or on the strap of the buckle. On a shoe that has straps, the sound recording device can be place on the strap on the front center of the shoe.

In operation, when the device is pressed, pushed or squeezed, the LEDs are illuminated along with a sound recording that can have music and singing through a speaker instructing the child, toddler or infant on the alphabet, number, tying his/her shoelaces and other teaching, educational and instructional topics as well as enhancing the theme factor of the shoe. The shoe can be based on a movie character, cartoon character, book character or some sound made popular by said characters and the device on the shoe can emanate sounds that said character is popular for.

[0004] The sound recording with the LEDs cannot be triggered by merely walking. It has to be pushed with the intent to use and trigger said sound recording and LED. The length of said sound recording can vary based on the theme or idea of the shoe.

[0005] The shoe can be made with or without LEDs.

[0006] The portion of the shoe that the device is enclosed in can be made to be removable from the shoe.

[0007] The purpose of the invention is to make a fun, fitted shoe to entertain the wearer when the wearer activates the chip. The sounds emanate from the shoe as it is fastened to the wearers foot.

[0008] The shoe can be made in different sizes to fir adults, children and infants and in other forms of footwear such as sandals, slippers, dress shoes, sneakers, casual shoes and the like.

Claims

1) Wherein a shoe is improved by incorporating a push button or squeezable device with speaker (and possibly LEDs), which is located on the shoe, with a trigger element contained within said shoe which emanates recorded sounds (music, voice, abstract sounds and the like) when the device is activated by the wearer with pressure by squeezing or pushing a mechanism on the device

2) Wherein the sounds emanating from the speaker comprise sounds which entertain, teach or educate or instruct the wearer on the alphabet, numbers, how to tie his/her shoelace, buckling his/her shoe and other educational, teaching or instructional topics or enhance the theme of the shoe based upon or inspired by a television character, cartoon character, movie character, book character, singer, actor, or nursery rhyme character or entertainer.
