BACKBROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0007] 1. Field of the Invention

[0008] The present invention relates to a finger nail tip cover, and more specifically a finger nail tip cover to be placed on long natural, acrylic, gel or artificial finger nail tips to be worn when using a keyboard to facilitate typing on any kind of keyboard with long finger nails.

[0009] 2. Description of Prior Art

[0010] It is very common that many women all over the world like to wear long finger nails to look better as well as a fashion statement, but most women that work in areas where typing is required do not wear their finger nails long because the keys of the keyboards are design to be use with the finger tips not the nails.

[0011] Women that wear long finger nails find it hard to type because the long nails can get stuck between the keys of the keyboard or slide causing typing errors and slowing their work.

[0012] Numerous appliances have been proposed for protecting finger nails from hazards but none of them are intended to make the process of typing on a keyboard with long natural, acrylic, gel or artificial finger nails easy and comfortable.

[0013] The closest device that appear in the prior art is the finger appliance for data entry in electronic devices that includes a finger tip and a finger pad and it is adapted to be mounted on the finger of the user. However an appliance suitable to type on a keyboard with long natural, acrylic, gel or artificial finger nails requires being specifically for the finger nail tip with a specific design and stretching material that would fit the wide and thickness of all finger nail tips sizes.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0014] The present invention is an appliance for facilitating data entry on any type of keyboard with natural, acrylic, gel or artificial long finger nails, as well as providing comfort in the process of typing with long finger nails.

[0015] The appliance has the form of a closed U with a round hard tip on one end and a stretch semi-oval cavity in the other end where the finger nail tip is placed in.

[0016] According to an aspect of the invention, the appliance is to be placed on all finger nail tips of both hands of the user, not including the thumbs.

[0017] The appliance is light in weigh and comfortable to wear.

[0018] Another aspect of the invention is the appealing to consumers for facilitating typing with long finger nails as well as for its low cost.

[0019] The appliance is designed so the user can type with long finger nail tips as if he/she was typing with his/her finger tips.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0020] FIG. 1 is a top view of a finger and a long finger nail illustrating the appliance mounted to the finger nail tip.

[0021] FIG. 2 is the button view of the appliance on the finger nail tip of the user.

[0022] FIG. 3 is the front view of the appliance on FIG. 1 showing the cavity where the finger nail tip is placed in.

[0023] FIG. 4 is the front end of the appliance on FIG. 1

[0024] FIG. 5 is a prospective view illustrating the appliance on a finger nail tip of the user.

[0025] FIG. 6 is a side view of the appliance on the finger nail tip of the user.

[0026] FIG. 7 is a side elevation of the view of the appliance on the finger nail tip of the user illustrating the hard tip on the end of the appliance to prevent the nail from passing thru when typing.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0027] Referring now more particularly to the embodiment of the invention shown in FIG. 1 through 7, the invention is an appliance designed to be place on all finger nail tips of both hands, not including the thumbs. It is a single piece appliance that can be made by an injection mold. The appliance is a cover only to be worn on long finger nail tips leaving the fingers free to perform regular tasks.

[0028] As seen in FIG. 1 and FIG. 3 the appliance has a cavity in one end with the shape of the nail tip where the nail tip is placed in. The cavity of the appliance is design to cover 3/16 of an inches depth of the finger nail tip and over 1/4 of an inches width of the finger nail tip, with the capacity of stretching up to 20% more to fit all long finger nail tips including natural, acrylics, gel or artificial nail tips.

[0029] In the exemplary embodiment as shown on FIGS. 2, 4 and 5 the other end of the appliance has a symmetrical shape that works perfectly with the keys of any keyboard designed to be used with the finger tips, simulating the actual finger tip typing action.

[0030] The finger nail tip cover is made with robber material that allows the cover to be hard on one end FIG. 7 (so the finger nail tip does not penetrate thru the appliance while typing) and gradually changes softness providing the stretch property the appliance needs to fit all long finger nail tips FIG. 6.

[0031] The present invention is an appliance designed to be worn comfortably on the finger nail tips of long nails particularly in all finger nails of both hands, not including the thumbs. It is intended specifically to be used for typing on any kind of keyboard with long natural, acrylic, gel or artificial finger nails.

[0032] The appliance allows the user to have more accuracy when reaching the commands with their long finger nails, making the process of typing faster and comfortable.

[0033] While specific embodiments of the invention have been described, the invention is not limit to those specifics and modifications or design detail changes can be made without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention.
