Abstract:
A perforated bag approximately 3 inches by 5 inches containing silica
granular beads with an approximate weight of 40 grams. These
specifications have proven to be the most effective for most common cell
phones. The size and weight can vary based on the size of the device to
be treated. This bag is perforated with approximately 250 holes 1/16 inch
in diameter; once again the number of perforations will vary if the size
of the bag is changed. This system is then enclosed in a Mylar bag
specifically designed to dry out water damaged cell phones. The device
according to the invention comprises a Mylar Bag (1) which holds the
perforated bag containing granular beads (1). This device improves the
ability of these beads to draw the moisture from the cell phone therefore
drying out the phone allowing it to function again.Claims:
1. A bag for removing moisture from water damaged cell phone in a
closed/sealed system comprising a perforated cellophane bag containing
silica gel beads in solid form which draw moisture from water damaged
cell phones.
2. This bag also contains indicating silica colored beads that change color when the system has reached its' maximum effectiveness.
3. The perforated bag is placed inside a closed and sealed Mylar bag to allow this device to function without any other environmental interference.
4. A bag for removing moisture from water damaged cell phones. This device when placed in a separate sealed Mylar bag is effective in removing the moisture from water damaged cell phone therefore returning these phones to personal use.
Description:
[0001] An affordable product to dry out water damaged cell phones has
significant practical value.
[0002] This product is unique and effective in the fact that it is designed with a bag that has adequate perforation and thickness (1.2 mil) and is filled with the appropriate amount of Silica Gel. This bag is contained in a sealed Mylar bag to protect it from all other environmental forces. In 68 field tests conducted by the inventor it has been 100% effective. In field tests conducted by independent sources 6 newer phones have been tested with 100% success.
