Description:
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0001] 1. Field of the Invention
[0002] The present invention relates to a human body cooling apparatus, and particularly to a human body cooling apparatus light-weighted and adapted to utilize a cooling effect of a cooling medium containing gel so that the human body cooling apparatus is preferably usable to exemplarily cool portions of a human body.
[0003] 2. Description of the Related Art
[0004] Conventionally, people has accommodated a cooling medium containing gel in an exterior element of a pillow size or a bed sheet size to form a human body cooling apparatus, and at the time of sleeping, or the like, in a high temperature season such as a summer season, has covered the human body cooling apparatus onto a pillow to thereby cool a head of a human body, or placed the human body cooling apparatus on a bed to thereby cool a back, and the like, of the human body.
[0005] In case of such a human body cooling apparatus where the same is used instead of a covering futon, for example, the human body cooling apparatus is required to be light-weighted and flexible in addition to possession of a cooling effect, so as to obtain a good feeling upon use.
[0006] Further, with such a human body cooling apparatus, the migratability of a cooling medium containing gel accommodated inside the apparatus is high, thus if the cooling medium is simply accommodated in the exterior element, the weight of a human body would cause the cooling medium to be unevenly distributed within the exterior element, resulting in failure of expectation of a sufficient cooling effect for the human body.
[0007] The present applicant has proposed a human body cooling apparatus having an excellent cooling effect for a human body at the time of sleeping, or the like as shown in Patent Document 1, and has obtained an utility model registration based thereon, where the human body cooling apparatus is configured to comprise: an exterior element in which two covering members in the shape of a rectangular seat each having a front cloth and a backing cloth are put one upon another with the backing cloths being superposed on each other to provide a flat form, the backing cloths being high-frequency welded for formation of an outer edge welded portion, a toric partially welded portion having an air bleeder hole for heat radiation in a plurality of places in an internal area thereof, and straight-linear middle welded portions; and a cooling medium containing gel accommodated in the exterior element such that migration thereof is restricted by the outer edge welded portion, partially welded portions in the internal area thereof, and middle welded portions.

[0031] an outer edge sealed portion in a rectangular shape provided by sewing over an outer edge of the exterior element.
[0032] Human body cooling apparatuses pertaining to Embodiments 1 to 3 of the present invention will be described hereinafter.
Embodiment 1
[0033] The human body cooling apparatus 1 pertaining to the Embodiment 1 of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. 1 to FIG. 4.
[0034] As shown in FIG. 1, FIG. 3, and FIG. 4, the human body cooling apparatus 1 pertaining to the present Embodiment 1 includes: an exterior element 2 in a shape of a rectangular mat in a plan view and including two covering members that are each constituted by a front cloth 3 made of a fabric-like material such as a cotton material, polyester, rayon, hemp, raised fabric, crepe, striped crepe, or towel fabric, and a backing cloth 4 which is weldable by high-frequency heating, being made of a non-water absorbent material such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and which covering members are each produced by superposing the front cloth 3 and the backing cloth 4 on each other, where the exterior element 2 is configured to form an outer edge welded portion 5 provided by high-frequency heating between the backing cloths in an outer edge area of the exterior element, and to form a plurality of cooling medium excluding portions 7 such as arranged in five parallel rows defined by a plurality of partially welded portions 6 provided by high-frequency heating between the backing cloths in an internal area of the exterior element such that the plurality of partially welded portions 6 exhibit a plurality of rectangular shapes separated at intervals from one another, respectively; a cooling medium 8 containing gel and internally packed within cooling medium areas continuously formed at an outer edge side and an internal side within the exterior element 2 in areas other than the outer edge welded portion 5 and the cooling medium excluding portions 7 defined by the partially welded portions 6 in the internal area; and an outer edge sealed portion 9 in a rectangular shape provided by sewing (hemming) by adopting a side cloth in a manner to enclose an outer edge portion of the outer edge welded portion 5 over the entirety of an outer edge of the exterior element 2.
[0035] Examples of a composition of the cooling medium 8 containing gel include those compositions each consisting of a gel, sodium polyacrylate, ammonium sulfate, sodium sulfate, glycerin, water, fungicide, or the like. In the present invention, the composition of the cooling medium 8 is not limited to the above-described examples.
[0036] In the present Embodiment 1, the outer edge area and internal area in the exterior element 2 are described by defining them as shown in FIG. 2.
[0037] Further, the exterior element 2 in the present Embodiment 1 has an entire size which is a pillow cover size set to have a width of 30 cm and a length of 40 cm as shown in FIG. 2, for example. In the present invention, the entire size of the exterior element 2 is not limited to the above example.
[0038] The width size of each partially welded portion 6 itself is set at a small width of 0.4 cm as enlargedly shown in FIG. 4, and the size of one of the cooling medium excluding portions 7 defined by the partially welded portions 6, respectively, is set to have a length of 20 to 22 cm, and a width of 3 cm. In FIG. 4, reference numeral 10 designates a seam for forming the outer edge sealed portion 9.
[0039] According to the human body cooling apparatus 1 pertaining to the present Embodiment 1, the cooling medium excluding portions 7 are arranged in five parallel rows separated at intervals from one another in the internal area of the exterior element 2 constituting the human body cooling apparatus 1, so that the accommodated amount of the cooling medium 8 containing gel is reduced as a whole of the human body cooling apparatus 1, as compared to the human body cooling apparatus in the same size previously proposed by the present applicant, for example.
[0040] Thus, by virtue of the presence of the partially welded portions 6 at five places at intervals from one another in the internal area, migration of the cooling medium 8 containing gel is prevented at such a time of sleeping of a user, thereby allowing the cooling medium 8 to assuredly exhibit its cooling effect, and allowing for realization of a reduced weight of the human body cooling apparatus 1 itself by virtue of the presence of the cooling medium excluding portions 7 arranged in five parallel rows separated at intervals from one another, to enable to ensure a good feeling upon use as a pillow cover and to improve a handling ability upon attachment and detachment of the human body cooling apparatus to and from a pillow.
[0041] Further, it is also possible for the human body cooling apparatus 1 pertaining to the present Embodiment 1 to be easily turned into a smaller size (half size, for example) by folding the apparatus along the cooling medium excluding portions 7, thereby enabling to achieve an expediency upon accommodating the apparatus for storage into a closet, chest of drawers, or the like.
[0042] FIG. 5 shows a human body cooling apparatus 1A as a modified embodiment of the human body cooling apparatus 1 pertaining to the present Embodiment 1, and the human body cooling apparatus 1A as the modified embodiment is characterized in that it has the same basic configuration as that of the human body cooling apparatus 1, but the entire size of the exterior element 2 of the former is set to have a width of 80 cm and a length of 90 cm which is a floor cushion size, for example.
[0043] The human body cooling apparatus 1A is configured to be provided with rectangular cooling medium excluding portions 7 arranged in twelve parallel rows separated at intervals from one another, defined by twelve partially welded portions 6 provided separately at intervals from one another in the internal area of the exterior element 2, respectively.
[0044] The width size of each partially welded portion 6 itself is set at a small width of 0.4 cm, and the size of one of the cooling medium excluding portions 7 defined by the partially welded portions 6, respectively, is set to have a length of 70 to 72 cm, and a width of 3 cm.
[0045] The configuration of the outer edge sealed portion 9 in the human body cooling apparatus 1A is the same as that in case of the human body cooling apparatus 1.
[0046] According to the human body cooling apparatus 1A pertaining to the modified embodiment, it is possible for a user to obtain a good feeling upon use, by using the human body cooling apparatus 1A in a manner to cover it onto a floor cushion and to sit thereon, for example.
[0047] Namely, it is possible to prevent migration of the cooling medium 8 containing gel by virtue of the presence of the partially welded portions 6 at twelve places at intervals from one another in the internal area of the human body cooling apparatus 1A to thereby allow the cooling medium 8 to assuredly exhibit its cooling effect, so that the user is allowed to obtain the good feeling upon use.
[0048] Further, it is also possible to realize a reduced weight of the human body cooling apparatus 1A itself by virtue of the presence of the cooling medium excluding portions 7 at twelve places at intervals from one another, thereby enabling to improve the handling ability of the apparatus.
[0049] Moreover, it is also possible for the human body cooling apparatus 1A to be easily turned into a smaller size (half size, for example) by folding the apparatus along the cooling medium excluding portion(s) 7, thereby enabling to achieve an expediency upon accommodating the apparatus for storage into a closet, chest of drawers, or the like, in the same manner as with the above-described human body cooling apparatus 1.
[0050] In addition to the above, although not shown, it is also possible to conduct a modification to provide a human body cooling apparatus, which has the same basic configuration as that of the human body cooling apparatus 1 and which is provided in a covering futon size (or futon mattress size) where the entire size of the exterior element 2 is set to have a width of 80 cm and a length of 140 cm, for example. In the present invention, the entire size of the exterior element 2 is not limited to the above example.
[0051] In this case, the human body cooling apparatus is configured to be provided with rectangular cooling medium excluding portions 7 arranged in nineteen parallel rows separated at intervals from one another, defined by nineteen partially welded portions 6 provided separately at intervals from one another in the internal area of the exterior element 2, respectively.
[0052] According to the human body cooling apparatus having such a size, it is possible for a user to use the human body cooling apparatus as a covering futon (or futon mattress) at the time of sleeping, thereby obtaining a good feeling upon use.
[0053] Namely, it is possible to prevent migration of the cooling medium 8 containing gel by virtue of the presence of the partially welded portions 6 at nineteen places at intervals from one another in the internal area of this human body cooling apparatus to thereby allow the cooling medium 8 to assuredly exhibit its cooling effect, so that the user is allowed to sleep with an excellently cooled feeling. Further, it is also possible to realize a reduced weight of the human body cooling apparatus itself by virtue of the presence of the cooling medium excluding portions 7 at nineteen places at intervals from one another, so that the user is allowed to deeply sleep in a comfortable sleeping environment.
[0054] Moreover, it is also possible for the human body cooling apparatus to be easily turned into a smaller size (half size, third size, for example) by folding the apparatus along the cooling medium excluding portion(s) 7, thereby enabling to achieve an expediency upon accommodating the apparatus for storage into a closet, chest of drawers, or the like, in the same manner as with the above-described human body cooling apparatus 1.

[0066] As shown in FIG. 9 and FIG. 10, although the human body cooling apparatus 1D pertaining to the present Embodiment 3 has the same basic configuration as that of the human body cooling apparatus 1 of the Embodiment 1 in a pillow cover size, this human body cooling apparatus 1D is characterized in that each cooling medium excluding portion 7 has an elastic member 13 such as a cushion material, sponge material, or the like internally packed therein.
[0067] In this case, each cooling medium excluding portion 7 has the associated elastic member 13 internally packed therein such that the thickness between front and backing surfaces of the cooling medium excluding portion is made to be substantially the same as that between front and backing surfaces of the cooling medium area.
[0068] According to the human body cooling apparatus 1D pertaining to the present Embodiment 3, in addition to a fact that substantially the same function and effect as those with the human body cooling apparatus 1 of the Embodiment 1 are exhibited except for the folding operation, provision of the elastic member 13 internally packed in each cooling medium excluding portion 7 allows the human body cooling apparatus 1D itself to possess a greater elasticity than the human body cooling apparatus 1 of the Embodiment 1, thereby allowing a user using the apparatus 1D to obtain a more comfortable feeling upon use.
[0069] FIG. 11 shows a human body cooling apparatus 1E as a modified embodiment of the human body cooling apparatus 1D pertaining to the present Embodiment 3, and the human body cooling apparatus 1E as the modified embodiment is characterized in that the entire size of the exterior element 2 is set to have a width of 80 cm and a length of 90 cm which is a floor cushion size, for example, identically to the modified embodiment of the Embodiment 1 as previously described, and that each cooling medium excluding portion 7 has an elastic member 13 such as a cushion material, sponge material, or the like internally packed therein, identically to the human body cooling apparatus 1D of the Embodiment 3. In the present invention, the entire size of the exterior element 2 is not limited to the above example.
[0070] According to the human body cooling apparatus 1E of this modified embodiment, in addition to a fact that substantially the same function and effect as those with the human body cooling apparatus 1A as the modified embodiment of the Embodiment 1 are exhibited except for the folding operation, provision of the elastic members 13 allows a user sitting on the human body cooling apparatus 1E to obtain a better feeling with a higher elasticity upon use by using the apparatus in a manner to cover it onto a floor cushion.
[0071] In addition to the above, although not shown, it is also possible to conduct a modification to provide a human body cooling apparatus, which has the same basic configuration as that of the human body cooling apparatus 1D and which is provided in a covering futon size (or futon mattress size) where the entire size of the exterior element 2 is set to have a width of 80 cm and a length of 140 cm, for example.
[0072] In this case, the human body cooling apparatus is to be used as a covering futon (or futon mattress) by a user at the time of sleeping, and is allowed to exhibit, except for the folding operation, substantially the same function and effect as those with the human body cooling apparatus in the covering futon size (or futon mattress size) configured to have a width of 80 cm and a length of 140 cm as described in Embodiment 1, and the user is allowed to obtain a better feeling with a higher elasticity upon use by virtue of the presence of the elastic members 13.
[0073] Next, enumerated hereinafter are application examples of the human body cooling apparatus of the present invention for various usages.
[0074] (a) Covering Futon and Futon Mattress
[0075] The human body cooling apparatus is to be used as a covering futon by covering the apparatus onto a human body, taking advantage of the light-weighted aspect of the apparatus. It is further possible by the apparatuses to provide a cooler feeling by sandwiching a human body therebetween from the above and below.
[0076] (b) Bottle/Glass Cooler
[0077] The cooling apparatus is to be provided in a smaller size and wound around a PET bottle, glass, cup, or the like to thereby cool it. Those portions of the apparatus, which are free of gel, will act as fold lines, respectively, so that the apparatus is provided in a shape to be wound around the object more easily than a conventional apparatus.
[0078] (c) Cooling Coaster
[0079] The cooling apparatus is to be formed into a square size of about 8 cm by 8 cm, and laid under a glass. It is also possible to modify the apparatus into such a type by changing the exterior element into a PVC material to make an interior gel visible.
[0080] (d) Cooling Bag/Inside Liner
[0081] The cooling apparatus is to be formed into a bag shape and used as a cooling bag upon carrying around perishables. Alternatively, the cooling apparatus is formed not into a bag shape but into an inside liner shape in a rectangular size of about 10 cm×20 cm, and used by laying it on an inside bottom of a portable bag.
[0082] (e) Garment
[0083] The cooling apparatus is to be provided in a form of a vest, pants (short pants), or the like, and used by wearing it on a human body.
[0084] (f) Floor Cushion
[0085] It is also possible to allow a single cooling apparatus to be used as a floor cushion in itself, by attaching a cushion material to one side of the cooling apparatus.
[0086] (g) Mat for Chair/Baby Carriage
[0087] The cooling apparatus is to be used as a cushion for a chair/baby carriage, taking advantage of a soft property of the cooling apparatus.
[0088] (h) Laying Mat for Outdoor
[0089] The cooling apparatus is light-weighted and easily portable, so that the cooling apparatus is usable as a mat for outdoor, beach, or the like.
[0090] (i) Cap
[0091] The cooling apparatus is to be provided in a form of base-ball cap, and used for open-air activities such as outdoor sports, cycling, and the like.
[0092] (j) Mattress
[0093] The cooling apparatus is to be provided with a thick mesh material at one side of the cooling apparatus, thereby improving its air permeability. Alternatively, the cooling apparatus is to be provided with tubes penetrated through those portions of the cooling apparatus, which are free of gel, respectively, thereby forming paths of air.
[0094] (k) Rug
[0095] The cooling apparatus is to be provided in a larger size and used as a rug. Although conventional rugs have been heavy and troublesome to be laid, such a rug according to the present invention is light-weighted and easy to handle. Further, since the latter adopts a soft gel, the same also possesses a sufficient cushioning property.
[0096] (l) Kitchen Mat
[0097] The cooling apparatus is to be used in a manner to be formed into a kitchen mat size provided at its one side with an anti-slipping material. Such a kitchen mat is adapted to cool a user from his/her feet in a kitchen susceptible to a high temperature.
[0098] (m) Neck Pillow
[0099] The cooling apparatus is to be used as a pillow, by placing the former under a neck of a user at the time of sleeping. The pillow can also be adjusted in height, because the same can be easily folded along those portions, which are free of gel.
[0100] (n) Insole for Footgear
[0101] The cooling apparatus is to be used as an insole for slippers, shoes, and the like. Such an insole is not heavy, thereby advantageously avoiding inconvenience for walking.
[0102] (o) Cooling of Lunch Box
[0103] The cooling apparatus is to be formed into a box shape in a manner to place a lunch box therein to cool it, or the cooling apparatus is to be wrapped around a lunch box itself by taking advantage of the easy-to-fold shape of the former.
