Abstract:

Cakes are traditionally used for many types of celebrations, such as birthdays. Birthdays are traditionally celebrated in western society with a cake with candles on the cake. As part of the birthday celebration, candles are blown out by the birthday person. Subject is a variation to the birthday candle celebration for adults of age to drink alcoholic beverages. The drinking vessels, also known as "shot glasses", replace the birthday candles atop the cake and are designed to remain stable as the cake may be moved about. The birthday person would drink an alcoholic beverage from the vessels in lieu of blowing out candles. Subject may also be used on cakes for other celebrations, such as weddings, anniversaries, or graduations.

Claims:

1. A variant of a drinking vessel where said vessel is comprised of a container with a stem attached and extending downward.

2. The variant of a drinking vessel of claim 1 with multiple stems extending downward from the container and parallel to one another.

Description:

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS

[0001] The embodiment of the subject is represented by FIGS. 1 thru 4. FIG. 1 is a side view showing a hollowed out drinking vessel with a single support stem attached and extending downward. FIG. 2 is a perspective representation of the same configuration shown in FIG. 1. FIG. 3 is a side view showing a hollowed out drinking vessel with multiple support stems attached and extending downward. FIG. 3 is a perspective representation of the same configuration shown in FIG. 3.

DESCRIPTION

[0002] With numerical references to the particulars of the subject, the attached drawings represent the embodiment of the subject invention. The subject is comprised of a drinking vessel ((1) FIGS. 1, 2, 3, and 4) with a stabilizing stem ((2) FIGS. 1 and 2) or stems ((2) FIGS. 3 and 4) attached and extending downward from the said vessel. The subject is manufactured of plastic, glass, or similar rigid material commonly used for drinking vessels. The vessel ((1) FIGS. 1, 2, 3, and 4) is of appropriate size and shape for containing a single serving of alcoholic beverage of choice, generally between one and four fluid ounces. The stem ((1) FIGS. 1 and 2) or stems ((2) FIGS. 3 and 4), attached to the underside of the vessel ((1) FIGS. 1, 2, 3, and 4), is of proper size and reinforcement as to support and stabilize said vessel ((1) FIGS. 1, 2, 3, and 4) when the stem or stems ((2) FIGS. 3 and 4) is inserted into a fully prepared cake, as to allow the vessel ((1) FIGS. 1, 2, 3, and 4) to set atop the cake without tipping.
