[0005] The present invention relates generally to cigarette lighters, and more particularly to a cigarette lighter with a golf green repair tool.
[0006] 2. Description of Related Art
[0007] Cigarette lighters have been used. However, none of them has been accompanied with a golf green repair tool or a golf ball marker.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0008] The present invention presents a cigarette lighter. The cigarette lighter has a lighter body and a golf green repair tool mounted on the lighter body.
[0009] In a preferred embodiment, the golf green repair tool is slideably mounted on the lighter body. Preferably, the golf green repair tool has an extended position and a retracted position, and the golf green repair tool has a pair of tool tips that protrudes out of the lighter body in the extended position. Preferably, the golf green repair tool has a tool knob disposed outside of the lighter body. Preferably, the tool knob has a golf ball marker seat.
[0010] The present invention also presents a cigarette lighter having a lighter body and a golf ball marker seat.
[0011] In a preferred embodiment, a golf ball marker is removeably disposed in the golf ball marker seat. Preferably, the cigarette lighter of claim 6, wherein said golf ball marker is made at least partially of metal and said golf ball marker seat has a magnet. Preferably, the golf ball marker seat has a stepped portion. Preferably, the golf ball marker is in the form of a disk.
[0012] Further areas of applicability of the present invention will become apparent from the detailed description provided hereinafter. It should be understood that the detailed description and specific examples, while indicating the preferred embodiment of the invention, are intended for purposes of illustration only and are not intended to limit the scope of the invention.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0013] The above and other objects and features of the present invention will become apparent from the following description of preferred embodiments given in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which:
[0014] FIG. 1 is a front view of a cigarette lighter according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0015] FIG. 2 is a top perspective view of the cigarette lighter of FIG. 1 with the lighter lid opened.
[0016] FIG. 3 is a bottom view of the cigarette lighter of FIG. 1.
[0017] FIG. 4 is a front view of the cigarette lighter of FIG. 1 with the golf green repair tool in the extended position.
[0018] FIG. 5 is a front view of the cigarette lighter of FIG. 1 with the golf ball marker partially released.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0019] Shown in FIGS. 1-5 is a cigarette lighter 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention. The cigarette lighter 1 has a lighter body 10, a golf green repair tool 30.
[0020] The lighter body 10 has a main body 12 and a lid 14 pivotably mounted on the main body 12. The main body 12 has a flame opening 16 and an ignition button 18 on its top face. The flame opening 16 and the ignition button 18 are only exposed when the lid 14 is opened as shown in FIG. 2. If a user pushes the ignition button 18 down, a flame (not shown) is created above the flame opening 16 and remains until the ignition button 18 is released.
[0021] The main body 12 also has a tool opening 20 in its bottom face as shown in FIG. 3. The main body 12 also has a flame adjustor 22 and a fuel charge valve 24. The user can adjust the size of the flame by rotating the flame adjustor 22. The user can refill a fuel into the lighter body 10 through the fuel charge valve 24.
[0022] The golf green repair tool 30 is slideably disposed within the lighter body 10. The golf green repair tool 30 can slide within the lighter body 10 between an extended position as shown in FIG. 4 and a retracted position as shown in FIG. 5. In the extended position as shown in FIG. 4, a pair of tool tips 32 of the golf green repair tool 30 extrudes through the tool opening 20 out of the bottom face of the main body 12 of the lighter body 10.
[0023] The main body 12 also has a slide guide 26 in its front face. In the illustrated embodiment, the slide guide 26 is in the form of a slit or slot. The golf green repair tool 30 has a tool knob 40. The tool knob 40 has a knob head portion 42 disposed outside of the main body 12. The knob head portion 42 remains outside of the main body 12 regardless of whether the golf green repair tool 30 is in the extended position or in the retracted position.
[0024] The tool knob 40 also has a golf ball marker seat 44. The golf ball marker seat 44 is in the form of a recessed surface for receiving a portion of a golf ball marker 50 therein. The golf ball marker 50 is preferably in the form of a disk. Preferably, the golf ball marker 50 is made at least partially of metal and the golf ball marker seat 44 has a magnet 46 so as to keep the golf ball marker 50 in the golf ball marker seat 44. The golf ball marker seat 44 has a stepped portion 48 so as to assist the user in releasing the golf ball marker 50 from the golf ball marker seat 44 overcoming the magnetic force.
[0025] The lighter body 10 can further have an outer plastic protective member 28 at least partially covering the main body 12. The outer plastic protective member 28 can have features such as holes that can assist in gripping.
[0026] The ball marker 50 has visual advertising information on its face. Additionally or alternatively, the lighter body 10 can also have surface areas available to accept inscription, which delivers an advertising mechanism for the purchaser. advertising information
[0027] As various modifications could be made to the exemplary embodiments, as described above with reference to the corresponding illustrations, without departing from the scope of the invention, it is intended that all matter contained in the foregoing description and shown in the accompanying drawings shall be interpreted as illustrative rather than limiting. Thus, the breadth and scope of the present invention should not be limited by any of the above-described exemplary embodiments, but should be defined only in accordance with the following claims appended hereto and their equivalents.
