Abstract:

System for attaching a membrane on a cleaning device for swimming-pools. The invention concerns a system for attaching a net to a swimming-pool cleaning device, enabling the net to be held perfectly taut and to be correctly and fully attached to a separate container from the cleaning device that can easily be inserted into the device by the user. The invention device consists of a separate container (1) open at each end (2) to enable water to flow through it and containing two hollow half-boxes (3) that can be attached to each other in order to seal the box completely and hold the net in place inside the separate container, either in the body of the separate box, attached by fixing clasps or in line between the two sections of pipe that are attached to the pool pump, by means of conical terminals (6) that can be inserted into the pipe. The device of which the invention consists is designed specifically for the vacuum cleaners cleaners used for cleaning maintenance for the water in artificial pools.

Claims:

1) System for fixing a net in swimming-pool cleaning devices, characterized by a separate container (1) open at each end (2) so that water can flow through it, and containing two hollow half-boxes (3) that are attached to each other by clipping together so as to completely block the two ends of the container (4) to ensure that the net (5) is correctly attached and stretched inside the container so as to enable the cleaning device to operate correctly when the container is attached thereto.

2) Device for which claim 1 is made, characterized by a separate container(1) that is incorporated into the body of the cleaning device by means of fixing clasps.

3) Device for which claim 1 is made, characterized by a separate container(1) being attached to to the cleaning device in line between two sections of pipe attaching the cleaning device to the pool pump, by means of conical terminals (6) that can be inserted into each section of pipe.

Description:

[0001] The present invention concerns a system for attaching and stretching a net designed for attachment to the vacuum cleaners used for cleaning and maintaining water in pools.

[0002] The removal of debris and detritus present in the volume of water in pools is currently performed by means of a maintenance device attached to the electric pump in artificial pools and operated by hydraulic power which sets in motion a net that jerks forward, making the device move through the water. It is only possible to operate the device if the net is correctly attached and stretched perfectly taut inside the device. The attachment of the net is currently performed by the user when the device is initially prepared for use then when the part is renewed. This is done by one of two systems, either by inserting the net inside a tube that is open at each end and pulling it to stretch it taut as far as possible; or by inserting it at one end and stretching it by torsion. The existing systems have the disadvantage, however, of on the one hand, requiring a direct connection to the net through contact with the device and, on the other hand and concomitantly, the amount of tension in the stretched net--and thus the ability of the whole cleaning device to operate efficiently--depends on how well the ordinary user can stretch the net. An unskilled user may have difficulties in stretching the net, and may make mistakes, such as fixing the net incorrectly and not stretching it sufficiently. This could even cause the device to malfunction.

[0003] The device of which the invention consists makes it possible to remedy these defects. Firstly, it makes it possible to separate the net from the body of the cleaning device by fixing it to a separate container, one which can be incorporated into the body of the cleaning device or its connection tubes; secondly, this makes it possible to eliminate any risk of error resulting from incorrect attachment and insufficient stretching of the net by the user, thus avoiding any risk of subsequent malfunctioning of the device; thirdly, it makes it much easier for the user to attach the net supplied, since it is pre-installed and stretched taut inside a separate container that is incorporated into the device or attached to one of the tubes that are part of the device, without the user needing to worry about whether the net has been inserted facing in the right direction, whether it has been correctly inserted, or whether it has been twisted or has been stretched sufficiently taut.

[0004] The invention consists therefore of an attachment system for the net of the cleaning device for swimming-pools, constituted by a separate small container open at each end to enable the water to flow through it and containing two hollow half-boxes that are attached to each other and that can be clamped together in order to completely block each end of the box to hold the net in place and ensure that it is properly stretched inside, so as to facilitate the cleaning device to which the small container is connected. The small container can also be incorporated into the body of the cleaning device by means of attachment clasps, either in line between the two sections of pipe attaching the cleaning device to the pool pump or by means of conical terminals which will enable it to be inserted into this pipe section.

[0005] The attached drawing illustrates the invention:

[0006] FIG. 1 represents a projection of the way in which the invention device can be produced internally and externally in relation to the cleaning device.

[0007] With reference to this drawing, the device consists of a small separate container (1) that is open at each end (2) to enable water to flow through it, containing two hollow half-boxes (3) that can be attached to each other and which, when closed by clasps at each end of the container (4) will hold the net (5) in place inside it in such a way as to enable the cleaning device to operate, either by means of attachment clasps that are in line between the two sections of the pipe attaching the cleaning device to the pool pump or by means of conical terminals (6) that can be inserted into each section of the pipe.

[0008] As a non-restrictive example, the fixing and net-stretching system could be about 60 cm in length, 20 cm in depth and the same in height.

[0009] The device covered by the invention is designed in particular for vacuum cleaners for use in the cleaning and maintenance of pools.
