BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002]The present invention relates to a hanging closet organizer and more particularly, to a detachable hanging closet organizer that can be built up easily.

[0003](b) Description of the Prior Art

[0004]Hanging closet organizers are commonly used in a limited home space for keeping things in good order. Conventional hanging closet organizers are made of a hard material, such as plastics, wood or metal. Alternatively, a hanging closet organizer may be formed of a rigid frame structure and covered with a durable flexible sheet material, such as canvass. These hanging closet organizers commonly have a number of compartments each having a front open side for access. Further, a hanging closet organizer has a hole or hook and loop materials provided at the top side for fastening to a hanging rod or the like in a wardrobe.

[0005]Further, conventional hanging closet organizers are fixed at factory, not folding collapsible when not in use. These hanging closet organizers do not allow users to change their configurations. Simple folding collapsible hanging closet organizers are also commercially available. However, these simple type hanging closet organizers are not durable in use, giving a low quality image.

[0006]Further, conventional hanging closet organizers commonly have an enclosed structure with access openings at the front side. This enclosed design does not provide a see-through visual sense of beauty.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0007]The primary purpose of the present invention is to provide a hanging closet organizer, which can be set up into the operative form conveniently by a user. It is another object of the present invention to provide a hanging closet organizer, which is collapsible. It is still another object of the present invention to provide a hanging closet organizer, which provides a see-through visual sense of beauty.

[0008]To achieve these and other objects of the present invention, the hanging closet organizer comprises a plurality of partition panels each having a plurality of vertical insertion slots, a plurality of suspending belts respectively inserted through insertion slots, and a plurality of stub rods inserted into transverse pockets at the suspending belts to support the partition panels at the suspending belts at different elevations.

[0009]In an alternate form of the present invention, each hanging belt comprises a plurality of transverse slots disposed at different elevations, and a plurality of retaining respectively disposed above the transverse slots and respectively insertable through the adjacent transverse slots for holding the stub rods.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0022]The following descriptions are of exemplary embodiments only, and are not intended to limit the scope, applicability or configuration of the invention in any way. Rather, the following description provides a convenient illustration for implementing exemplary embodiments of the invention. Various changes to the described embodiments may be made in the function and arrangement of the elements described without departing from the scope of the invention as set forth in the appended claims.

[0023]Referring to FIGS. 1˜7, a hanging closet organizer in accordance with a first embodiment of the present invention is shown comprised of a plurality of partition panels 3, a plurality of suspending belts 1 holding the partition panels 3 at different elevations, and a plurality of stub rods 2 respectively fastened to the suspending belts 1 to support the partition panels 3 at different elevations. Each suspending belt 1 is comprised of two belt members 11A and 11B arranged in a stack and fastened together with longitudinal stitches 15 and transverse stitches 14 (see FIG. 1). The transverse stitches 14 are arranged in pairs at different elevations. Each pair of transverse stitches 14 define a pocket 13 that has its top and bottom sides closed by the respective transverse stitches 14 and its a rear side closed by one line of the longitudinal stitches 15, and an opening 12 formed on its front side. The stub rods 2 are respectively inserted through the openings 12 into the inside of the pockets 13 to stop the partition panels 3 at the suspending belts 1 at different elevations. The suspending belts 1 are made of a flexible material. When one stub rod 2 is inserted into one pocket 13, it is received in the respective suspending belt 1 and kept from sight (see FIG. 3).

[0024]The partition panels 3 are made of bamboo, wood, or any of a variety of other hard materials in, for example, a rectangular shape, having four insertion slots 31 cut through the top and bottom walls thereof in the four corners. The width of the insertion slots 31 is smaller than the diameter of the stub rods 2.

[0025]During installation, the suspending belts 1 are respectively inserted through the insertion slots 31 of the partition panels 3 (see FIG. 4), and then stub rods 2 are respectively inserted into the pockets 13 to stop the partition panels 3 at the suspending belts 1 at different elevations (see FIGS. 5 and 6). Because the stub rods 2 have a diameter greater then the width of the insertion slots 31 of the partition panel 3, the stub rods 2 positively stop the partition panels 3 at the suspending belts 1 at different elevations. After installation, the suspending belts 1 can be hung on a hanging rod 4 (see FIG. 7). The hanging rod 4 can be provided inside a wardrobe to hold the hanging closet organizer in the wardrobe.

[0026]FIGS. 8˜10 show a hanging closet organizer in accordance with a second embodiment of the present invention. This second embodiment is substantially similar to the aforesaid first embodiment with the exception that each suspending belt 1 has a plurality of transverse slots 17 disposed at different elevations, and a plurality of retaining loops 16 disposed at different elevations and respectively spaced above the retaining loops 16. After insertion of the suspending belts 1 through the insertion slots 31 of the partition panels 3, the retaining loops 16 are respectively extended over the periphery of the respective partition panels 3 and respectively inserted through the adjacent transverse slots 17, and then the stub rods 2 are respectively inserted into the inside of the retaining loops 26 to prohibit disconnection of the respective retaining loops 16 from the respective transverse slots 17 and to stop the partition panels 3 at the suspending belts 1 at different elevations (see FIG. 9). After installation, the suspending belts 1 are hung on a hanging rod 4 (see FIG. 10).

[0027]A prototype of collapsible cabinet has been constructed with the features of FIGS. 1˜10. The collapsible cabinet functions smoothly to provide all of the features disclosed earlier.

[0028]It will be understood that each of the elements described above, or two or more together may also find a useful application in other types of methods differing from the type described above.

[0029]While certain novel features of this invention have been shown and described and are pointed out in the annexed claim, it is not intended to be limited to the details above, since it will be understood that various omissions, modifications, substitutions and changes in the forms and details of the device illustrated and in its operation can be made by those skilled in the art without departing in any way from the spirit of the present invention.

Claims

1. A hanging closet organizer, comprising:a plurality of partition panels, each said partition panel comprising a plurality of insertion slots;a plurality of suspending belts respectively inserted through said insertion slots of said partition panels, each said suspending belt comprising a plurality of retaining means arranged at different elevations; anda plurality of stub rods respectively fastened to said retaining means of said suspending belts to support said partition panels at said suspending belts at different elevations, each said stub rod having a diameter greater than the width of said insertion slots of said partition panel.

2. The hanging closet organizer as claimed in claim 1, wherein each said retaining means is a pocket formed in the respective suspending belt for accommodating one said stub rod.

3. The handing closet organizer as claimed in claim 1, wherein each said retaining means comprises a transverse slot cut through the respective suspending belt, and a retaining loop affixed to the respective suspending belt above said transverse slot and insertable through said transverse slot for holding one said stub rod.
