Patent application title: Billiard mode aseismatic architecture

Inventors:  Yoshioki Tomoyasu (Fujisawa-Shi, JP)
IPC8 Class: AE04H902FI
USPC Class: 521674
Class name: Static structures (e.g., buildings) means compensating earth-transmitted force (e.g., earthquake) relative motion means between a structure and its foundation
Publication date: 2010-04-08
Patent application number: 20100083591

to develop for Billiard Mode Aseismatic Architecture converting earthquake vibration into idling operation as well as rotating operation by use of sphere pillars and bearings rested on the stabilizer respectively on the bottom floor with view to prevent from energy of earthquake from being transmitted to the above construction.

Claims:

1. Billiard mode aseismatic architecture depends on the method for converting lateral vibration energy of earthquake into energy of idling operation handled by said bearings and sphere pillars remaining on the spot to wear out it with friction loss with contacted materials such as stabilizers, pockets, floors, springs and hemisphere covers.

2. The cue in straight motion mechanism caused by earthquake adapted for said Billiard Mode Aseismatic Architecture convert vertical vibration of earthquake into rotating operation of said upper sphere pillars gathered around hole made at the bottom of said funnel to be pushed away in rotating operation directly to said pocket made inside said upper foundation with the head of said cue pushed up by the vertical vibration of earthquake introduced through lifting operation by said bottom sphere pillar and said bearings capped with hemisphere to be covered at the end of said cue and sustained with the power of said spring adapted for around said pole of said cue.

3. The stabilizers are applied to settle for the bottom of bearings and said bottom sphere pillars with a view to serving to stabilize for idling operation on the bottom floor on the earth, whereby increasing contacted area with the foundation capable of withstanding for heavy weight load of the upper buildings.

Description:

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001]The present invention is related to the field of the technology of aseismatic architecture and construction to withstand under the vibration as well as the impact caused by earthquakes thus being applicable to the housing, the building, the nuclear power plant and the semi-conductors inclusive of other precision machine manufacturing plant.

DESCRIPTION OF THE RELATED ART

[0002]The conventional aseismatic art in the building construction have been depended on the concept as well as the method to settle buildings, houses as well as structures on the firm foundation in the earth to withstand against hard attack and vibration by the movement of earthquake.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0003]The present invention develop for the method for aseismatic architecture to keep fluidity on the area between the contacted portion of the building and the vibration caused by earthquake such as a vessel against attack by wave. The countermeasure against earthquake is to divert the kinetic energy of earthquake through processes in operation, which is converted into idling or rotating process operated by a sphere pillar according to either vertical or horizontal movement in direction. Said horizontal vibration caused by earthquake is dealt with idling operation of the sphere pillar and a plural number of bearings sustained with a stabilizer respectively on the spot with friction loss, whereby the kinetic energy of earthquake is reduced to nothing. On the other hand, said vertical vibration is turned to rotating operation of the above spherical pillars by the cue in straight motion mechanism, thus the movement of

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0004]Overview: In FIG. 1, a plural number of upper sphere pillars (1) are gathered in contact with each other around a hole made at the bottom of a funnel (7) fixed with bolts (12) under the rear face of upper foundation (8) where pockets (13) for said upper sphere (1) and a pocket (6) for a cue (5) are excavated, and on which front floor pillars (11) for the upper buildings are constructed. Said cue (5) of which head is plunged from said hole of said funnel (7) and excavated with down parts of said cue shaped bed to be rested on with said upper sphere (1) is followed with pole surrounded with spring (4) around its outside surface, of which bottom end is excavated with a plural number of dome shaped hemispheres to cover the above hemispheres of said bottom sphere pillar (2) and a plural number of bearings (3) rested on respective stabilizer (14) laid on bottom floor (9) on the earth (10).

[0005]Mechanism: When said bottom floor (9) on the earth (10) is moved by earthquake, said bottom sphere pillar (2) and a plural number of bearings (3) rested on each stabilizer (14) which serves to increase contact area with said bottom floor (9) to prop up the heavy weight load of the upper buildings and capped with dome shaped covers at the rear end of said cue (5) applied with lubricating oil and surrounded with said spring (4) allow to idle on the spot of said bottom sphere pillar (2) and said bearings (3) to wear out the vibration energy of the lateral earthquake with friction loss in idling operation, thus said movement of lateral earthquake is prevented from being transmitted to the above construction. On the other hand, the vertical vibration of earthquake cause to push up said cue (5) by the force of said bottom sphere pillar (2) and said bearings (3) covered with said above hemispheres of dome shaped covers made at said rear end are liable to convert into rotating operation through the process that said upper sphere pillars (1) gathered around said hole is pushed away by means of lifting cue (5) in the up and down operation with assisting force by said springs (4), thus preventing vertical earthquake from being transmitted to the above buildings at all. earthquake is prevented from being transmitted to the above buildings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0006]FIG. 1: One example of the cross sectional view of Billiard Mode Aseismatic Architecture of this invention illustrating the components that make up the preferred embodiments.
