rf Handbag" allows you to change the look of the handbag by threading a scarf of choice through rings on the bag thus creating a unique and individually expressive accessory. An article, specifically a handbag, in patent leather, pvc, pu, canvas or any other material, in which twelve holes are cut into the material on the top rim to create an opening. Twelve openings on the top rim, six on each side, are finished with brass rings. These rings are 1/2 inch in diameter. These hollow brass rings become the receptacle for items to be threaded around the top rim of the bag. The size of the hole makes it extremely easy to thread the scarf or any other material allowing for individual expression.

Claims:

1. A handbag of any material, leather, pvc, pu, canvas or other, in which twelve openings are created with the insertion of hollow brass rings to create the receptacle for the threading and display of a decorative scarf which is interchangeable.

2. The handbag in claim 1 wherein each of the hollow brass rings consists of a male and female component that are compressed together creating an opening of 1/2 inch in diameter.

3. The handbag in claim 1 in which the hollow brass ring openings provide an easy and effective receptacle for the threading of interchangeable scarves at any given moment.

4. The handbag in claim in which the interchangeable feature of the handbag provides the opportunity to match the handbag to any given outfit.

5. The handbag in claim 1 in which the interchangeable feature of a printed or colored scarf on the handbag provides an economic advantage as the need to purchase additional handbags in order to coordinate with an outfit is eradicated by the simple exchange of one scarf to another.

6. The handbag in claim 1 in which the interchangeable scarf feature further changes the aesthetic look of the handbag.

Description:

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001]Handbags have been a staple in the accessory market for years.

[0002]While there have been numerous designers who have created a handbag in which a scarf decorates the exterior of the handbag, there are no handbags in which the actual scarf is removable or interchangeable with another one.

[0003]There are no known instances of the present invention directed to a handbag with the ability to interchange the scarf to enhance the aesthetic features of the handbag.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0004]A handbag, of any material, patent leather, pvc, pu, canvas or any other, in which the top two inches form an area in which twelve holes are punched into the material, six on the front side of the handbag and six on the back side.

[0005]The punched holes are then finished with twelve 1/2 inch hollow brass rings to create a receptacle to thread and display a scarf.

[0006]The scarf of choice is then inserted through one hole and threaded through the remaining 11 receptacles in an "in and out" manner and then both ends of the scarf are tied in a bow or knot, where they are held securely in place.

ADVANTAGES AND DIFFERENCES

[0007]Fast and Easy Removal of Existing Scarf and Insertion of Alternate Scarf: The 12 hollow brass rings, which are 1/2 inch in diameter, are large enough to provide sample space in which to insert or remove the scarf which has been threaded across the bag.

[0008]The method of an "in and out" system of threading the scarf through the hollow brass rings, which are tied together at the end in either a bow or knot, ensures that the scarf will remain tightly secured to the handbag, even if the tie is open.

[0009]The unique design of the bag enables the wearer to change the color or overall look of the bag by replacing the scarf with another one, thus coordinating outfits.

[0010]There is no need to change the color of a handbag to match the color of clothing--this can be achieved by simply changing the scarf, for which three additional colored and patterned scarves are provided.

[0011]The ability to manipulate the handbag's look by changing the inserted scarf is economically advantageous. The need to purchase additional bags in different colors becomes less pressing as the coordination of colors is accomplished by the simple insertion of a scarf of choice

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0012]FIG. 1. Is the image of the scarf, to be threaded through the twelve hollow brass rings and then tied in a bow or knot.

[0013]FIG. 2. Is a view of the brass hollow rings comprised of a male and female component that are compressed together and firmly attached to the upper interior of the handbag. These brass hollow rings are 1/2 inch in diameter and create an ample opening in which a scarf is placed.

[0014]FIG. 3. Shows the upper rim of the handbag where the twelve hollow brass rings become the receptacle for the scarf to be threaded quickly and easily in an in and out manner. These rings also firmly hold the scarf in place.

[0015]FIG. 4. Shows a close up of the scarf threaded through the hollow brass rings in where they remain firmly in place.

[0016]FIG. 5 Shows a back view of the handbag with scarf threaded through all the twelve hollow rings.

[0017]FIG. 6. Shows the front view of the handbag with the scarf completely threaded through the rings and tied in a bow firmly in place.
