20140043838 | LIGHTED VEHICLE INTERIOR ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY AND METHOD - A lighted interior accessory assembly for a vehicle includes an interior accessory such as an armrest or console and a plurality of fasteners mounting the interior accessory on the interior panel. A mounting plate has a light pipe mounted thereon and emitting light along the length of the light pipe. The mounting plate is sandwiched between the armrest and the interior panel so that the mounting plate creates a gap between the armrest and the interior panel through which the light pipe emits light into the vehicle interior. Mounting the armrest directly to the door trim without inter-positioning the mounting plate between the armrest and the door trim eliminates the gap and eliminates the light pipe. Accordingly, a vehicle manufacturer can readily include a lighting feature in a luxury version of the vehicle and omit the lighting feature from a standard version of the vehicle. | 02-13-2014 |
20140239853 | BUCKLE ASSEMBLY WITH LIGHT EMITTING DIODE AND OPTICAL GUIDE - A buckle assembly is configured to releasably interlock with a seat belt tongue. The assembly includes a light emitting diode (LED) positioned at least partially within a housing. The LED is configured to emit a light when the seat belt tongue is not interlocked with the assembly. An optical guide is positioned at least partially within the housing and composed of a substantially light transmitting material. The LED is positioned such that the light emitted by the LED passes through the optical guide. In a first embodiment, the optical guide is an ejector member at least partially positioned within the housing. In a second embodiment, the optical guide is a lens at least partially positioned within the housing. | 08-28-2014 |

20080250486 | DESIGN STRUCTURE FOR LOCAL BLADE SERVER SECURITY - A design structure embodied in a machine readable storage medium for designing, manufacturing, and/or testing a design for a local blade server security is provided. The design structure includes a system capable of extracting authentication information for a local user from a USB keydrive inserted in the chassis of the blade server; comparing the extracted authentication information with predetermined authentication credentials; and granting access to one or more resources on the blade server if the extracted authentication information matches the predetermined authentication credentials; and denying access to one or more resources on the blade server if the extracted authentication information does not match the predetermined authentication credentials. | 10-09-2008 |
20080252490 | Merging A Codec With A Digital Media File and Playing A Digital Media File On A Playback Device - Merging a codec with a digital media file, including receiving, by a digital media provider from a playback device through a data communications network, a request for the digital media file, the digital media file comprising digital media content encoded by a codec, identifying, by the digital media provider, the codec by which the digital media content was encoded, inserting, by the digital media provider, the codec into the digital media file, distributing the digital media file with the inserted codec to the playback device through the data communications network. Playing a digital media file on a playback device, including receiving the digital media file in the playback device, extracting the codec from within the digital media file, installing, by the playback device, the codec for operation on the playback device, and decoding, by the playback device through the codec, the digital media content for playback on the playback device. | 10-16-2008 |
20080279461 | PRE-DISTRIBUTION IMAGE SCALING FOR SCREEN SIZE - Embodiments of the present invention address deficiencies of the art in respect to video scaling and compression and provide a novel and non-obvious method, system and computer program product for pre-distribution image scaling for screen size. In one embodiment of the invention, a compressed video delivery method can be provided. The method can include determining a display size for a target computing platform, pre-scaling video imagery to comport with the display size of the target computing platform, compressing the pre-scaled video imagery, and transmitting the compressed, pre-scaled video imagery to the target computing platform over a computer communications network. | 11-13-2008 |
