20110182920 | IDENTIFICATION OF A NOVEL CYSTEINE-RICH CELL PENETRATING PEPTIDE - The present invention relates to a nucleic acid molecule encoding a peptide capable of being internalized into a cell, wherein said nucleic acid molecule consists of (a) a nucleic acid molecule encoding a peptide having the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2; (b) a nucleic acid molecule having the DNA sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1, wherein T is U if the nucleic acid molecule is RNA; or (d) a nucleic acid molecule encoding a peptide having at least 80% sequence identity with that of SEQ ID NO: 2, wherein at least at two positions selected from the group consisting of positions 1, 7 and 8 of SEQ ID NO: 2 a cysteine is present and wherein at least at four positions selected from the groups consisting of position 2, 4, 6, 9 or 10 of SEQ ID NO: 2 an arginine or a lysine is present. The present invention also relates to a peptide encoded by the nucleic acid of the invention, a fusion molecule comprising the peptide of the invention and a composition comprising the peptide or the fusion molecule of the invention. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a method of detecting the internalization behaviour of a fusion molecule of the invention, the composition of the invention for treating and/or preventing a condition selected from cancer, enzyme deficiency diseases, infarcts, cerebral ischemia, diabetes, inflammatory diseases, infections such as bacterial, viral or fungal infections, autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematodes (SLE) or rheumatoid arthritis, diseases with amyloid-like fibrils such as Alzheimer's disease (AD) and Parkinson's disease (PD) or certain forms of myopathy. | 07-28-2011 |

20080217954 | Convertible With a Roof Which Can Be Stored in a Folding-Top Compartment - A convertible vehicle has a vehicle body with a passenger compartment defined therein and a rear region with a top storage well defined therein. A retractable roof is movable between a closed position extending over the passenger compartment and a stowed position in the top storage well. The top storage well has a base region that is movable between a raised position and a lowered position. The base region covers an intermediate space between the rearward side of the seats and the inner side of the rear roof region when the roof is in the closed position and the base region is in the raised position. A coupling linkage interconnects the base region with the rear roof region such that movement of the retractable roof from the stowed position to the closed position causes movement of the base region. | 09-11-2008 |

20080285858 | METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR APPLYING SILHOUETTE TRACKING TO DETERMINE ATTITUDE OF PARTIALLY OCCLUDED OBJECTS - A method and system for increasing the certainty of a silhouette matching process, where the process is being used for attitude determination of an object of interest, for example an aircraft. The method involves using one or more mask images that include structure or features that may or may not always be associated with the object of interest, and overlaying the mask image(s) onto a library image of the aircraft. Each pixel of the library image is compared against corresponding pixels of the mask image(s) to determine which pixels represent ambiguous areas of the library image. Those pixels are eliminated from consideration in determining a Fit score, where the Fit score represents a percentage value indicative of a certainty of the matching process in identifying the attitude of the aircraft. The method and system is applicable to a wide ranging variety of object detection applications. | 11-20-2008 |
20080310677 | OBJECT DETECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD INCORPORATING BACKGROUND CLUTTER REMOVAL - A method and system for optically detecting an object within a field of view where detection is difficult because of background clutter within the field of view that obscures the object. A camera is panned with movement of the object to motion stabilize the object against the background clutter while taking a plurality of image frames of the object. A frame-by-frame analysis is performed to determine variances in the intensity of each pixel, over time, from the collected frames. From this analysis a variance image is constructed that includes an intensity variance value for each pixel. Pixels representing background clutter will typically vary considerably in intensity from frame to frame, while pixels making up the object will vary little or not at all. A binary threshold test is then applied to each variance value and the results are used to construct a final image. The final image may be a black and white image that clearly shows the object as a silhouette. | 12-18-2008 |

20090048780 | Methods and apparatus for planetary navigation - A method of navigating a space vehicle. An image of a planet surface is received. The received image is processed to identify edge pixels and angle data. The edge pixels and angle data are used to identify planetary features by shape, size, and spacing relative to other planetary features. At least some of the planetary features are compared with a predefined planet surface description including sizes and locations of planet landmarks. One or more matches are determined between the planetary feature(s) and the planet surface description. Based on the match(es), a location of the space vehicle relative to the planet is determined. | 02-19-2009 |
20150071489 | Isotropic Feature Matching - A computer-implemented method and apparatus for detecting an object of interest. An edge image is generated from an image of a scene. A sectioned structure comprising a plurality of sections is generated for use in analyzing the edge image. The edge image is analyzed using the sectioned structure to detect a presence of the object of interest in the edge image. | 03-12-2015 |
