20100201102Pin-engaging drawbar and lock plate assembly - A pin-engaging drawbar and lock plate assembly is designed to mount and stabilize in the drawbar of a trailer hitch or alternative trailer and accessory hitch or receiver assembly. In one embodiment the pin-engaging drawbar and lock plate assembly includes a bolt extending into the drawbar, typically having the bolt head secured to a lock plate positioned beneath a locking pin extending transversely through the receiver and the drawbar. An angle brace is fixed to the lock plate and engages the locking pin, and the locking pin openings are typically vertically elliptical or elongated in the drawbar to facilitate rotating a nut on the extending threaded end of the bolt and forcing the angle brace against the locking pin, thus tightening the drawbar against the hitch receiver. In another embodiment the bolt extends through a slotted front stabilizing plate to the lock plate and rotating the nut forces the lock plate against the hitch receiver and the angle plate and further tightens and stabilizes the drawbar against the hitch receiver. A second stabilizing plate can be provided rearwardly of the angle brace for engaging the drawbar and the hitch receiver and further stabilizing the assembly inside the hitch receiver. The locking action in all embodiments substantially eliminates both vertical and horizontal slack or play between the drawbar and the hitch receiver.08-12-2010

20110211531Method and System for Selective Application of Cellular-PBX Integration Service - A method and system for selectively applying a cellular-PBX integration service. When a radio access network (RAN) receives a call request seeking to set up a call for a cellular wireless communication device (WCD) that is operating in the coverage area of the RAN, a determination is made as to whether the WCD is currently checked-into a cellular-PBX integration service. A service control point (SCP), for instance, may make the determination. If the determination is that the WCD is currently checked-in, then the call is set up to an IP PBX server that services the WCD, and the IP PBX server may then handle the call as it would handle a call placed to any IP PBX extension. Further, differential billing can be applied, charging an enterprise billing-account for the call if the WCD is checked-in, and charging a WCD billing-account for the call if the WCD is not checked-in.09-01-2011

20090115415SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USE OF NANOPARTICLES IN IMAGING AND TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT - This invention provides a system and method that improves the sensitivity and localization capabilities of Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI) by using combinations of time-varying and static magnetic fields. Combinations of magnetic fields can be used to distribute the signals coming from the magnetic particles among the harmonics and other frequencies in specific ways to improve sensitivity and to provide localization information to speed up or improve the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of imaging and/or eliminate the need for saturation fields currently used in MPI. In various embodiments, coils can be provided to extend the sub-saturation region in which nanoparticles reside; to provide a static field offset to bring nanoparticles nearer to saturation; to introduce even and odd harmonics that can be observed; and/or to introduce combinations of frequencies for more-defined observation of signals from nanoparticles. Further embodiments provide for reading of the signal produced by cyclically saturated magnetic nanoparticles in a sample so as to provide a measurement of the temperature of those nanoparticles. The spectral distribution of the signal generated provides estimates of the temperature of the nanoparticles. Related factors may also be estimated—binding energies of the nanoparticles, phase changes, bound fraction of the particles or stiffness of the materials in which the nanoparticles are imbedded.05-07-2009
20110098558SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USE OF NANOPARTICLES IN IMAGING AND DIAGNOSIS - A method for diagnosing certain types of cancers provides a nanoparticle agent to be uptaken by cancer cells for diagnosis and treatment of certain cancers. A compound containing nanoparticles is directed toward a tumor site, and then a predetermined time period passes to allow the nanoparticles to be uptaken by the cancer cells. Imaging is then performed on the nanoparticles by an appropriate imaging device to determine the concentration of nanoparticles uptaken by the cancer cells. Finally, image data provided by the imaging device is analyzed to determine the concentration of nanoparticles and thereby determine whether a tumor is present. The nanoparticle agent can further be employed as a treatment of certain cancers. After the uptake of nanoparticles into the cells, a predetermined field applied to the nanoparticles for a sufficient period of time activates the magnetic cores of the nanoparticles to include hyperthermia-mediated destruction of the cancer cells.04-28-2011
20110273176SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USE OF NANOPARTICLES IN IMAGING AND TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT - This invention provides a system and method that improves the sensitivity and localization capabilities of Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI) by using combinations of time-varying and static magnetic fields. Further embodiments provide for reading of the signal produced by cyclically saturated magnetic nanoparticles in a sample so as to provide a measurement of the temperature of those nanoparticles.11-10-2011
