20120266590 | BROAD PRESSURE AND FREQUENCY RANGE ACCUMULATOR - A method and apparatus for reducing undesirable pressure fluctuations over predetermined pressure and frequency ranges in a working fluid system, facilitating maintenance of appropriate levels of stored energy in the fluid system. Embodiments may be employed within a fluid system to dampen pressure fluctuations over an adequately large pressure range, for example in a resonant vibratory system. In such systems, pressures vary dramatically depending on whether resonance is achieved. An apparatus comprises a pressure vessel having a self equilibrating flexible piston device. The piston separates a gas volume from a fluid volume exposed to the system flow. The piston translates within the pressure vessel to equilibrate the gas and fluid pressures. A flexible portion of the piston deflects at high frequency and adequate volume to reduce undesirable pressure fluctuations. The flexible portion translates force via its outer periphery to a ring portion which translates within the pressure vessel. | 10-25-2012 |

20140277267 | NEUROMODULATION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRANSITIONING BETWEEN PROGRAMMING MODES - An external control device and method for programming an implantable neuromodulator coupled to an electrode array implanted adjacent tissue of a patient having a medical condition. Electrical modulation energy is conveyed to tissue of the patient in accordance with a series of modulation parameter sets. The patient perceives paresthesia in response to the conveyance of the electrical modulation energy to the tissue in accordance with at least one of the modulation parameter sets. One of the modulation parameter set(s) is identified based on the perceived paresthesia. Another modulation parameter set is derived from the identified modulation parameter set. Electrical modulation energy is conveyed to the tissue of the patient in accordance with the other modulation parameter set without causing the patient to perceive paresthesia. | 09-18-2014 |
20140277284 | CLINICAL RESPONSE DATA MAPPING - A system and method include a processor that, based on at least a subset of stored data of clinical effects of one or more stimulations of anatomical tissue performed using electrodes of an implanted leadwire, generates and outputs at least one graphical marking representing the at least the subset of the stored data. Each of the at least one graphical marking represents a respective portion of the at least the subset of the stored data and is output in association with a respective set of values for each of at least two parameters by which one or more the stimulations were performed. The markings are plotted in a graph defined by axes corresponding to values of respective stimulation parameters. Alternative, the markings are arranged in a column of a tabular report. The markings are two-toned to provide respective information for both therapeutic and adverse side effects. | 09-18-2014 |
20140316489 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROGRAMMING NEUROSTIMULATION DEVICES USING CACHED PLUG-IN SOFTWARE DRIVERS - A system for programming a plurality of different models, or generations, of neurostimulation devices includes a plurality of plug in software drivers stored on a hard drive of the system, wherein the plurality of plug-in software drivers are respectively configured for facilitating communication between the plurality of different models of neurostimulation devices and the system processor via a transceiver. In a method of programming a plurality of different models of neurostimulation devices, the system processor dynamically identifies the model of an interrogated neurostimulator and determines which plug-in software driver to use for programming the interrogated neurostimulator. The plug-in software drivers are cached into memory upon start-up of the system. | 10-23-2014 |
20150100108 | Implantable Medical Device with a Primary and Rechargeable Battery - An implantable medical device (IMD) having a rechargeable and primary battery is disclosed, as are algorithms for automatically selecting use of these batteries at particular times. In one IMD embodiment, the primary battery acts as the main battery, and an algorithm allows the IMD to draw power from the primary battery until its voltage reaches a threshold, after which the algorithm allows the IMD to draw power from the rechargeable battery when it is sufficiently charged. In another IMD embodiment, the rechargeable battery acts as the main battery, and an algorithm allows the IMD to draw power from the rechargeable battery if it is sufficiently charged; otherwise, the algorithm allows the IMD to draw power from the primary battery. Further disclosed are techniques for telemetering data relevant to both batteries to an external device, and for allowing a patient to choose use of a particular one of the batteries. | 04-09-2015 |

20100013689 | REDUCED COMPONENT DIGITAL TO ANALOG DECODER AND METHOD - An n bit D/A decoder is formed using P-type and N-type transistor switches, instead of convention CMOS switches. Each P-type and N-type switch may be formed of fewer transistors than those used to form a CMOS switch, thereby reducing the overall transistor count. The decoder may be used to decode digital values to non-linear GAMMA corrected analog output voltages. | 01-21-2010 |

20140078393 | METHODS AND DEVICE FOR EFFICIENT RESAMPLING AND RESIZING OF DIGITAL IMAGES - Described are a system and method to determine the initial luma and chroma phase such that the resulting image after chroma upsampling and scaling has zero phase difference between the luma and chroma components. Particularly, the described method may include receiving a subsampled input image having luma and chroma values. The method may then perform a phase computation of the input image to determine scaling parameters such that phase differences between all color components of an output image are zero. The method may then include performing a combined upscaling and upsampling process on the input image using the scaling parameters to generate an upscaled image with no phase difference from the subsampled image. | 03-20-2014 |
20140253583 | SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MAPPING COLOR DATA - Described herein is a system and method that relates to mapping from one color space on a 3D cube to another, and an addressing method used to represent the data. The system organizes the data to reduce memory storage requirements, by re-using redundant information from different cube corners in a lattice structure without re-storing the same data. The lattice structure may repeat for every cube of interest. | 09-11-2014 |
