20100037543 | FRAMELESS WINDOW AND PROCESS FOR ITS MANUFACTURE - Frameless window which comprises a transparent pane, the lower edge of which is fixed in the slot of one or more holders by at least one layer of adhesive and is joined to the walls of the slot of the holders by one or more layers of a first adhesive applied close to the lateral ends of the slot, wherein at least one layer of a second adhesive is applied in the slot between the layers of the first adhesive. A process for manufacturing the window is also disclosed. | 02-18-2010 |
20100038010 | SYSTEM AND PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING FRAMELESS WINDOWS - System for manufacturing frameless windows which comprise a transparent pane, the lower edge of which is fixed in the slot of one or more holders by at least one layer of adhesive, which system comprises a work-table suitable for supporting the pane with the lower edge turned upwards and one or more mobile supports suitable for moving downwards the holders toward the pane, so that the holders can be inserted astride the lower edge, turned upwards, of the pane. In addition, a process is disclosed which can be carried out with the system. | 02-18-2010 |
20100237644 | VEHICLE GLAZING HAVING A TRIM MOUNTED THEREON - A vehicle glazing has a glazing profile provided around at least a portion of the periphery of a pane of glazing material. A rigid insert is embedded in the glazing profile, and a trim is mounted on the glazing profile, the trim engaging the insert and being retained by it. The insert is provided with at least one aperture through which the insert is engaged by at least one protrusion on the trim. | 09-23-2010 |
20100244483 | AUTOMOTIVE GLAZING AND COMPONENT ASSEMBLY - An automotive glazing having a mounting strip for mounting a glazing component attached adjacent at least one edge thereof, and extending along at least a portion of the length of that edge, is disclosed. The mounting strip is bonded to a major face of the glazing by a strip of adhesive material in contact with at least a portion of the mounting strip. At least another portion of the mounting strip is spaced from the major face of the glazing. The adhesive is positioned such that the mounting strip does not overlap the edge of the glazing. A cavity is formed between the glazing, the adhesive and the mounting strip, the adhesive forming a closed end of the cavity, and an open end of the cavity facing the edge of the glazing. The cavity is dimensioned to receive a portion of said glazing component. Preferably, the adhesive is polyvinyl butyral (PVB). A method of bonding the mounting strip to the glazing is also disclosed. | 09-30-2010 |
20100320806 | CENTRING PIN - A vehicle glazing having a centring pin bonded thereto, and a centring pin suitable for a vehicle glazing are disclosed. The centring pin comprises a base portion bonded to the vehicle glazing and a centring portion adapted to be inserted into a hole in the bodywork of a vehicle. The centring portion is joined to the base portion, and moveable between a lowered position, in which the glazing may be stored, and a raised position, in which the glazing may be fitted into an aperture in a vehicle. | 12-23-2010 |
20120153659 | VEHICLE GLAZING WITH SEAL AND DECORATION STRIP - A vehicle glazing has a gasket provided on at least one surface and extending along one edge of the glazing, and provided with at least one resilient asymmetric metal retaining clip for retaining a vehicle glazing component, such as a decorative trim. One side of the clip engages the gasket, and the other side retains the vehicle glazing component. Also disclosed is a preferred retaining clip for mounting on a gasket to retain a vehicle glazing component, the clip having a generally U-shaped section comprising a base and two limbs. The first limb may comprise at least two lugs extending in mutually diverging directions to grip the gasket, and the second limb may comprise a tab extending outwardly from the limb to engage the vehicle glazing component. | 06-21-2012 |
20130270738 | PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR MOULDING A GLAZING PROFILE ONTO A GLAZING - A process for manufacturing at least two different discrete edge encapsulated glazings comprising panes of glass of different configuration, the process comprising moulding a glazing profile onto at least part of the periphery of each pane of glass in a composite mould. This composite mould comprises multiple different interchangeable mould modules, each mould module comprising at least one mould cavity, and the composite mould therefore has two or more mould cavities configured differently to receive different panes of glass. Fluid elastomeric material is injected into the mould cavities at the same time, so that a glazing profile is moulded onto each of the panes of glass concurrently. An injection moulding apparatus comprising the composite mould may have multiple injection systems for the different mould cavities, allowing different moulding materials to be used. The apparatus also includes a clamp unit having platens to which the multiple mould modules are attached. | 10-17-2013 |
