20140371574 | NONCONTACT ELECTROPHYSIOLOGICAL MEASUREMENT AND IMAGING OF THE HEART - Method and system for noncontact electrophysiologic imaging of the heart. The methods may employ the magnetization and its relaxation-based measurements, sensitive or specifically sensitized to the properties of cardiac electrical activity, to determine the spatio-temporal distribution of cardiac electromagnetic field and cardiac electrical potentials, and to display such spatio-temporal distribution (image) for assisting in the identification of the regions with abnormal cardiac electrical activity. In one embodiment, the system uses external magnets, gradient magnetic fields and radio-frequency waves, such as those commonly used for MRI, to generate the magnetic resonance. The system synchronizes scanning to the cardiac cycle using a measure of cardiac activity (e.g., electrocardiogram, ultrasound, ballistocardiogram, arterial pressure or cardiac sounds) and examines the difference between the cardiac electromagnetic properties (magnetization and relaxation) modulated by the oscillating radio-frequency fields and/or gradient fields of different orientations and magnitudes in the presence and absence of the cardiac electrical currents. | 12-18-2014 |

20080202906 | CONTROL KNOB HAVING INTEGRATED FUNCTIONALITY - A control knob for use in a motor vehicle is provided, having a hub for attachment of the control knob to a shaft, a torsion-proof part, a rotatable part, a rotation angle sensor, means for generating rotary haptics, and an electronic system by means of which the components, located in the control knob, can be controlled and the signals of the sensors can be evaluated and via which the control knob can be connected to the on-board electronics of the motor vehicle. | 08-28-2008 |
20080223703 | MULTIFUNCTIONAL OPERATING ELEMENT - The haptic feedback of a tilt is resource-intensive to produce for conventional operating elements. Consequently, the invention provides an operating element whose tilt haptics are easy and economical to produce. This is achieved by the means that a ball can be moved against an elastic element in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the lever, and in that the ball can also be supported in a detent arranged in a housing in order to produce the haptic feedback. | 09-18-2008 |

20080231038 | CUSTOMIZED SCHOOL SPIRAL NOTEBOOK AND NOTEBOOK DESIGN AND PRODUCTION METHOD - Customized school spiral notebooks are designed using school content information received from schools who are co-branding partners with the production coordinator and advertising content received from advertisers. The notebooks include front and back covers, a plurality of sheets including the school content information and at least some of the advertising content, and a plurality of divider sheets separating sets of writing paper, such as ruled, graph and/or blank paper. The divider sheets and/or the covers can also include at least some of the advertising content thereon. A plastic spiral binder holds the notebook together. The school content information can include a school phone directory, a campus map and an academic calendar; and a class planner can be provided on one of the content sheets. The respective customized notebooks are provided to each of the partner schools by the production coordinator at no charge, or a very minimal charge. Advertising profits can be shared with the partner schools. | 09-25-2008 |

20120025945 | MOTION CAPTURE DATA GLOVE - The motion capture data glove includes a hand wearable flexible glove having one or more sensors coupled thereto and positioned to measure natural hand movement. A data storage device at least temporarily stores movement information measured by the sensors. The data glove is configured to exchange a common timestamp with a remote device via a communication port for use in association with a synchronous time element configured to impart the timestamp in real-time to the movement information measured by the one or more sensors and stored by the data storage device to synchronize the movement information with other devices operating simultaneously. | 02-02-2012 |
