20160045831 | ADJUSTABLE AIMING AID DEVICE FOR FIRST-PERSON VIDEO GAMES, VIDEO SIMULATORS, AND SIMILAR VIDEO-BASED HUMAN-COMPUTER INTERACTIONS - One embodiment of an adjustable aiming aid device for first-person video games, video simulators, and similar video-based human-computer interactions in which the protagonist launches projectiles on targets. The device comprises an attachment unit and a sighting unit. The attachment unit is utilized to attach the device to a monitor, the monitor having a screen on which the software-generated visual environment is displayed. The sighting unit is utilized to position a sight at a predetermined location between the user and the screen, in a plane approximately parallel to the screen. The sight assists the user in aligning one's line of vision with the location on the screen towards which the software-simulated projectiles are launched. The sight is positioned in a different plane of focus than the screen, thus creating a new user experience. Other embodiments are described. | 02-18-2016 |

20090132561 | LINK-BASED CLASSIFICATION OF GRAPH NODES - A method of labeling unlabeled nodes in a graph that represents objects that have an explicit structure between them. A computing device can use a labeling engine to labeled nodes in a graph that are labeled and can identify an unlabeled node in the graph that is structurally associated with the labeled nodes. The labeling engine can label the unlabeled node with the label of the labeled node based on the structural association between the unlabeled node and the labeled node. | 05-21-2009 |

20110131198 | METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING A FILTER JOIN ON DATA STREAMS - A method and apparatus for processing at least one data stream are disclosed. For example, the method receives at least a join query for the at least one data stream, wherein the join query specifies a lifetime for keeping a tuple as a marker for a beginning of a sequence of interest, and receives a tuple from the at least one data stream. The method marks the tuple as a beginning of a sequence of interest and stores the tuple, if the tuple is the beginning of the sequence of interest. The method applies one or more initial predicates to the tuple, and determines if the tuple matched a marked tuple, if the tuple meets the one or more initial predicates. The method determines if the tuple meets one or more conditions to be outputted, if the tuple meets the one or more initial predicates conditions. | 06-02-2011 |

20150109044 | VARIABLE AMPLITUDE SIGNAL GENERATORS FOR GENERATING A SINUSOIDAL SIGNAL HAVING LIMITED DIRECT CURRENT (DC) OFFSET VARIATION, AND RELATED DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS - Embodiments disclosed include variable amplitude signal generators for generating a sinusoidal signal having limited direct current (DC) offset variation and related devices and methods. Instead of employing a single pulse width modulation (PWM) signal to generate a sinusoidal signal, in one embodiment, a circuit is provided that generates two PWM signals. The first PWM signal is a high-to-low PWM signal, where the active state is a lower signal level. The second PWM signal is a low-to-high PWM signal where active state is a higher signal level. The first and second PWM signals are combined to provide a summed signal, which is filtered to generate a sinusoidal signal. The DC offset of the first PWM signal varies inversely to the DC offset of the second PWM signal. In this manner, distortions caused by variations in the DC offset present in the generated sinusoidal signal are limited (i.e., reduced or eliminated). | 04-23-2015 |
20150381342 | FREQUENCY SYNCHRONIZING A LOCAL OSCILLATOR IN A REMOTE UNIT IN A DISTRIBUTED ANTENNA SYSTEM (DAS) USED FOR FREQUENCY SHIFTING COMMUNICATIONS SIGNALS BASED ON A RECEIVED DIGITAL PULSE SIGNAL FROM A CENTRAL UNIT - Frequency synchronizing a local oscillator in a remote unit in a distributed antenna system (DAS) used for frequency shifting communications signals based on a received digital pulse signal from a central unit. A remote unit receives a frequency shifted downlink communications signal and a reference pulse signal indicative of a frequency of a reference oscillator from a central unit. To recover the original signal, a mixing frequency signal generated by a local oscillator is used. To recover a signal having the same frequency as the original signal, the local oscillator should be the same or substantially the same frequency as the frequency used to create the frequency shifted version. A time difference signal indicating the frequency difference between the oscillators is calculated. A frequency adjustment signal is provided to the local oscillator based on the time difference signal to decrease the frequency difference between the oscillators. | 12-31-2015 |
