20110026715 | SELF-HEALING ENCRYPTION KEYS - A method and nodes provide self-healing encryption keys from a server to a client. Forward keys and backward keys are generated at the server. The server sends to the client a pair comprising a forward key for a first instant and a backward key for a later instant, the first and later instants being separated by a self-healing period. The client calculates a backward key for the first instant by processing the received backward key for the later instant. The server updates the keys to the client. If the client misses an update, it processes the first forward key to obtain a next one. If the client misses an updated backward key within the self-healing period, it uses the already processed backward key. If the client misses a later backward key, it sends a feedback to the server, responsive to which the server adjusts the self-healing period. | 02-03-2011 |
20110075847 | KEY DISTRIBUTION IN A HIERARCHY OF NODES - Methods, a client node and a key server node are provided for distributing from the key server node, and acquiring at the client node, self-healing encryption keys. The client node and the key server node are part of a key distribution network that comprises a plurality of client nodes. An encryption key is obtained from a combination of a forward key with a backward key, wherein the backward key is distributed at a time separated from the time of the forward key by a self-healing period. The forward and backward keys are updated in a multicast rekey message, at a given time, encrypted by an encryption key defined for a previous time. Optionally, when a sibling of the client node joins or leaves the key distribution network, a unicast rekey message is used to renew the forward and backward keys at the client node. | 03-31-2011 |
20120110144 | CRYPTOGRAPHICALLY GENERATED ADDRESSES USING BACKWARD KEY CHAIN FOR SECURE ROUTE OPTIMIZATION IN MOBILE INTERNET PROTOCOL - Enhanced cryptographically generated addresses (ECGA) for MIPv6 incorporate a built-in backward key chain. The backward key chain prevents time-memory attacks to discover a network address and helps prevent spoofing a network address of a mobile node. The backward key chain also provides a means to authenticate network addresses of a mobile node. | 05-03-2012 |
20120110326 | ENHANCED CRYPTOGRAPHCIALLY GENERATED ADDRESSES FOR SECURE ROUTE OPTIMIZATION IN MOBILE INTERNET PROTOCOL - Enhanced cryptographically generated addresses (ECGAs) for MIPv6 incorporate a built-in backward key chain and offer support to bind multiple logically-linked CGAs together. Enhanced CGAs may be used to implement a secure and efficient route optimization (RO) for MIPv6. | 05-03-2012 |
20120110334 | SECURE ROUTE OPTIMIZATION IN MOBILE INTERNET PROTOCOL USING TRUSTED DOMAIN NAME SERVERS - A trusted domain name server is introduced to provide a secure route optimization procedure for MIPv6. A trusted authority registers network addresses of a mobile node with corresponding fully qualified domain names. The trusted domain name server can later be queried to compare the domain of a network address for a mobile node with the domain of a network address for another network node. | 05-03-2012 |

20080258523 | FESTOONED TRIM CLIP SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ATTACHING FESTOONED CLIPS TO A SUBSTRATE - This invention provides a single or multi-ganged clip that can be grouped into a festooned arrangement. That is, a plurality of clips are arranged together into a discrete assembly along a line of extension so that a human or automated handler can retrieve a grouping, separate one-clip-at-a-time from the grouping, and apply the separated clip to a mold cavity or other assembly structure. Each clip can include a base with opposing ends aligned in the direction of extension and transverse to an elongation direction for a connecting segment (if any) between ganged clip members. In an illustrative embodiment, these base ends include opposing male and female connectors. In this embodiment the male connector is a cylinder with an axis that extends transverse to the direction of elongation and the female connector defines a conforming cylindrical inner diameter, which allows it to nest over the male cylinder. A gap opening is provided at the far edge of the female connector to provide clearance for the base that connects the male cylinder to the clip member base end. This gap can be sized to allow a predetermined range of angular rotation of the male connector within the female connector. Clips can be stored as discrete groupings that are stacked in a container, or paid out in a continuous grouping from a spool. | 10-23-2008 |
20090064471 | LOW-PROFILE UPHOLSTERY CLIP FOR ATTACHING A BEAD TO A FOAM SUBSTRATE - This invention provides a low-profile clip adapted to secure a listing bead to a foam substrate. Such a low-profile clip employs a novel geometry and is constructed from a material that affords resilience, durability, high resistance to a wide range of temperatures during field use and seat assembly and ease of bead installation with high pull-out strength. In an illustrative embodiment, the clip includes a base and a pair of legs extending upwardly from the base and defining therebetween a central region constructed and arrangement to capture the listing bead. Each of the legs extends upwardly from the base to a top barb that defines a gap narrower than central region. In this embodiment, the legs each extend upwardly from the base at a first angle of approximately 80 to 85 degrees and therefrom to each of the respective barbs at a second angle, with respect to a plane parallel to the base of approximately 88 to 90 degrees. Each of the legs has an approximate thickness taken along a direction of the parallel line of between approximately 1.0 and 2.0 millimeters. In this manner the clip exhibits high performance while defining an overall height from tops of the legs to a bottom of the base of approximately ten millimeters or less making the clip particularly desirable for use in modern, thinner foam substrates. The clip can be part of a festooned arrangement and can be constructed from a blended polycarbonate. | 03-12-2009 |
20120110797 | FESTOONED TRIM CLIP SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ATTACHING FESTOONED CLIPS TO A SUBSTRATE - This invention provides a single or multi-ganged clip that can be grouped into a festooned arrangement. Clips are grouped into a discrete assembly along a line of extension so that a handler can retrieve a grouping, separate one-clip-at-a-time, and apply the separated clip to an assembly structure. Each clip can include a base with opposing ends aligned in the direction of extension and transverse to an elongation direction for a connecting segment (if any) between ganged clip members. In one embodiment, these ends include opposing male and female connectors. The male connector is a cylinder with an axis extending transverse to the direction of elongation and the female connector defines a conforming cylindrical inner diameter, which allows it to nest over the male cylinder. An opening at the far edge of the female connector provides clearance for the base that connects the male cylinder to the clip member base end. | 05-10-2012 |
20150028650 | FOAM SEAT ELEMENT, AND PROCESS AND MOLD FOR PRODUCING SAME - There is described a padded element comprising a foam substrate having disposed therein a first internal surface and a second internal surface opposed to the first internal surface, the first internal surface being interposed between an outer surface of the foam substrate and the second internal surface, at least one of the first internal surface and the second internal surface comprising a textured portion. In a highly preferred embodiment, the pair of internal surfaces disposed within the body of the foam substrate combine to form one or more cavities in the foam substrate (e.g., by the provision of one internal surface have a textured portion and the other internal surface being untextured). The provision of such a textured surface creates a contacting interface (either at rest or when an occupant sits on the seat) between below or remote from the A-surface of the foam element. This interface has different properties than the exposed surface of the seating element. By adopting this internal interface approach to one or more zones of foam element, it is possible to confer different qualities of comfort and feel to the outer surface of the foam element (e.g., A-surface of a vehicular seat element) even though the appearance of that outer surface may be relatively non-textured. In this manner, the occurrence of “read through” described above is obviated or mitigated. A process and mold for produce the padded element are also described. | 01-29-2015 |
