20130047870 | HAND-HELD BATTERY POWERED CENTER PUNCH BAND CLAMP TOOL - A battery powered banding tool is adapted with a punch for use in tightening and securing center punch type band clamps. A hand-held electrically powered drill is configured for rotationally driving a band tensioner mounted thereto. The band tensioner includes a gear box, and a mount including a generally U-shaped rigid strap which engages the rear of the driving tool to secure the gear box. The gear box contains a worm gear axially coupled to the chuck for powered driven rotation thereby. The worm gear is in intermeshing relation with a winder gear disposed within the gear box and configured for rotation about an axis disposed generally perpendicular to the worm gear axis. A winder, defining a band-receiving slot, is affixed to the winder gear and rotationally driven thereby. A punch assembly, defining a band-receiving slot, is disposed in forwardly spaced aligned relation with the winder. The punch assembly includes a pivotal punch that functions to allow the user to lock a center punch band clamp by deforming the band within the confines of the band buckle upon impact. | 02-28-2013 |

20110056786 | Electrically Controlled Brake - An electrically controlled brake includes a rotatable first mechanical system and a second mechanical system that is stationary or fixed. The two systems have friction surfaces/parts that can be made to come in engagement with each other, providing a braking effect, and be withdrawn from each other releasing the braking effect. In the second system, windings can be wound around two braking shoes made from soft magnetic material so that an electric current flowing in the windings affects magnetic fluxes through the soft magnetic parts to move at least one thereof. The movement is in a direction that affects the effective width of an air gap in the closed main magnetic path. The electric current gives attraction forces over the air gap which tend to move the braking shoes to reduce the length of the air gap. A spring that e.g. can be a flat spring is rigidly mounted to inner ends of the braking shoes, creating forces on the braking shoes acting in a direction substantially opposite that of the attraction forces. The spring and the braking shoes form a unified structure that via a portion of the spring is rigidly attached to a stationary component of the brake, such as through a bar. Since the movements of the braking shoes are not performed about some shaft or articulation, there is no mechanical play in the brake. | 03-10-2011 |

20160081945 | A SOLID NANOPARTICLE WITH INORGANIC COATING - A nanoparticle having a solid core comprising a biologically active substance, said core being enclosed by an inorganic coating, a method for preparing the nanoparticle, and the use of the nanoparticle in therapy. A kit comprising the nanoparticle and a pharmaceutical composition comprising the nanoparticle. | 03-24-2016 |
20160089481 | MEDICAL DEVICE HAVING A SURFACE COMPRISING GALLIUM OXIDE - A medical device intended for contact with living tissue comprises a substrate having a surface, which surface comprises a layer comprising gallium oxide. A layer comprising a gallium oxide has been shown to inhibit biofilm formation on the surface of the medical device, which may reduce the risk for infection e.g. around a dental implant. A method of producing the medical device comprises: a) providing a substrate having a surface; and applying a gallium compound onto said surface to form a layer, preferably using a thin film deposition technique. | 03-31-2016 |
