20080233324 | Sheet Structure and Method for Adhesive Image Transfer - The present invention generally relates to a convenient and aesthetically pleasing way to label a wide variety of objects. The invention includes both an adhesive image transfer sheet assembly and a method for labeling a disc using standard computer equipment typically found in a home or office, such as an ink jet printer. One embodiment of the invention relates to an adhesive image transfer sheet assembly having a backing sheet that is coated with an ink-receptive coating. The coating is activatable to a tacky state by the application of light pressure or heat, and/or by wetting the coating with ink jet ink. The assembly may also be pre-cut to a particular shape, so as to correspond to the shape of a disc, for instance. An other embodiment of the invention relates to a method of labeling an object using the adhesive image transfer sheet assembly. After receiving printing, the ink-receptive coating is placed against the upper surface of the disc, and the user lighty rubs the backing sheet. The light rubbing activates the ink-receptive coating to a tacky state, causing the ink-receptive coating to adhere to the disc. The user can then pull away the backing layer, which may be release-coated for easily separating the backing from the ink-receptive coating. An additional water-resistant layer may be provided on the assembly, in between the ink-receptive coating and the backing sheet, to provide a protective layer over the image after the image has been transferred to the disc. | 09-25-2008 |
20080284156 | Label Having Means of Preventing Deformation in a Substrate - The present application relates to a label comprising a first layer being a paper layer or a polymer film layer and a second layer being a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer applied to one side of the first layer, characterized in that said label is provided with at least one flexible means and/or the pressure-sensitive adhesive is present in the form of a pattern. Furthermore, the present application also relates to a label sheet comprising in the following sequence: a backing material, a release layer, a pressure-sensitive layer and a top layer being a paper layer or a polymer film layer, wherein the top layer, being a paper layer or a polymer film layer, has detachment lines that are applied such that at least one sub-region is formed, characterized in that said sub-region(s) is (are) provided with at least one flexible means and/or that the pressure-sensitive adhesive is present in the form of a pattern. | 11-20-2008 |
20090092804 | Identification Badge Construction - A label badge sheet construction including a facestock sheet releasably adhered to a liner sheet. A weakened separation line in the facestock sheet defines at least one label. After the sheet construction has been passed through a printer or copier and desired indicia printed on the at least one label the printed label can be removed to be used as a visitor's badge or the like. Preferably, first and second labels are formed with a fold line separating them, and a weakened separation line through the liner sheet forms a liner panel which is adhered to the back of the first label. With the first and second labels and the liner panel removed as a label assembly and the labels folded on the fold line, through-holes through the first and second labels and the liner panel are aligned. A lanyard or clip can be passed through the aligned through-holes. The liner panel thereby reinforces the through-holes. The invention further includes the assembled label badge, the method of forming same, the method for manufacturing the sheets and the kit which includes sheets, software, hardware, etc. | 04-09-2009 |
20090134615 | SHEET DIVIDERS WITH MULTIPLE ROWS OF OFFSET TABS - A set of sheet dividers comprises a first plurality of sheet dividers, each divider comprising a sheet with a tab extending therefrom at a different location along the same side as all other dividers in the first plurality and to a first extent from the opposite side of the sheet, and a second plurality of sheet dividers, each divider comprising a sheet with a tab extending therefrom at a different location along the same side as all other dividers in the second plurality and to a second extent from the opposite side of the sheet that is greater than the first extent. | 05-28-2009 |
20090134616 | SHEET DIVIDERS WITH MULTIPLE ROWS OF PARTIALLY OFFSET TABS - A set of sheet dividers comprises a first plurality of sheet dividers with tabs defining gaps therebetween when stacked together, and a second plurality of sheet dividers with tabs at locations corresponding to the gaps in the first plurality of sheet dividers when the first plurality of sheet dividers and the second plurality of sheet dividers are arranged in a stack, the length of the tabs of the second plurality of sheet dividers being greater than the gaps in the first plurality of sheet dividers. | 05-28-2009 |
20090134617 | SHEET DIVIDERS WITH VISIBLE TABS AND CORRESPONDING COVERED TABS - A set of sheet dividers comprises a first plurality of sheet dividers, each divider comprising a sheet with a tab extending therefrom at a different location and for a first length along the same side as all other dividers in the first plurality; and a second plurality of sheet dividers, each divider comprising a sheet with a tab extending therefrom at a different location and for a second length along the same side as all other dividers in the second plurality, the second length being shorter than the first length, the second plurality being divided into subsets of dividers having their tabs adjacent one another and overlaid by the tab of a corresponding one of the first plurality of sheet dividers when the subset and corresponding one of the first plurality of sheet dividers are stacked together. | 05-28-2009 |
20100109316 | LABEL SHEET ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME - A label sheet assembly including a liner sheet, a carrier sheet, and a facestock sheet. The facestock sheet includes cut lines defining labels and cut lines defining at least a portion of a carrier strip. The carrier sheet can include cut lines defining at least a portion of the carrier strip. The carrier strip can be removed from the label sheet assembly to expose at least a portion of a layer of pressure sensitive adhesive on the labels. The label sheet assembly has a uniform thickness in an area that includes the carrier strip and the labels. | 05-06-2010 |
20100136277 | Printing Stock For Use In Printing Composite Signs, Methods And Apparatus For Printing Such Signs, And Methods For Manufacturing Such Printing Stock - Printing stock for use in making a sign that includes a face sheet and a backing sheet. The sign is formed, for example, by overlapping a plurality of face sub-sheets of the printing stock, with the face sub-sheets arranged in a pattern to form a desired image of the sign. The face sheet includes a printing surface for receiving ink and an adhesive surface for receiving the backing sheet. The face sheet includes a face cut forming a margin and the face sub-sheet such that at least a portion of the margin is separable from the face sub-sheet. The backing sheet may include a backing cut forming a border and a backing sub-sheet such that at least a portion of the border is separable from the backing sub-sheet so that at least a portion of the adhesive surface of the face sheet is exposable. | 06-03-2010 |
