20110020208Carbon Ion Pump for Removal of Carbon Dioxide from Combustion Gas and Other Gas Mixtures - A novel method and system of separating carbon dioxide from flue gas is introduced. Instead of relying on large temperature or pressure changes to remove carbon dioxide from a solvent used to absorb it from flue gas, the ion pump method, as disclosed herein, dramatically increases the concentration of dissolved carbonate ion in solution. This increases the overlying vapor pressure of carbon dioxide gas, permitting carbon dioxide to be removed from the downstream side of the ion pump as a pure gas. The ion pumping may be obtained from reverse osmosis, electrodialysis, thermal desalination methods, or an ion pump system having an oscillating flow in synchronization with an induced electric field.01-27-2011
20110151537Synthetic Catalysts that Separate CO2 from the Atmosphere and Gas Mixtures - The creation of a catalyst that can be used for a wide variety of applications including the steps of developing preliminary information regarding the catalyst, using the preliminary information to produce a template of the catalyst, and using the template of the catalyst to produce the catalyst.06-23-2011
20110253538Deionization and Desalination Using Electrostatic Ion Pumping - The present invention provides a new method and apparatus/system for purifying ionic solutions, such as, for example, desalinating water, using engineered charged surfaces to sorb ions from such solutions. Surface charge is applied externally, and is synchronized with oscillatory fluid movements between substantially parallel charged plates. Ions are held in place during fluid movement in one direction (because they are held in the electrical double layer), and released for transport during fluid movement in the opposite direction by removing the applied electric field. In this way the ions, such as salt, are “ratcheted” across the charged surface from the feed side to the concentrate side. The process itself is very simple and involves only pumps, charged surfaces, and manifolds for fluid collection.10-20-2011
20110293496SYNTHESIS OF TRIAZOLE-BASED AND IMIDAZOLE-BASED ZINC CATALYSTS - Various methods and structures of complexes and molecules are described herein related to a zinc-centered catalyst for removing carbon dioxide from atmospheric or aqueous environments. 20150184986AUTO-LOCK BROADHEAD - The major deficiency in mechanical broadheads, in general, is that they have an excessive failure rate. Some of them open prematurely upon launching, causing erratic arrow flight. On other models, one blade may open and the others may fail to open, or vice versa. If they do all open, there is no locking device to keep them reliably open. They depend totally on the forward inertia of the arrow to keep them open. One or more blades can collapse upon launching or upon impact. The Auto-Lock Broadhead has incorporated a unique, new, fail-safe, self-locking system to eliminate the possibility of blade failure, either upon launching, or upon impact. It is the only current design of its kind in, existence.07-02-2015

20120131087CONCURRENTLY APPLYING AN IMAGE FILE WHILE IT IS BEING DOWNLOADED USING A MULTICAST PROTOCOL - A system and a process for deploying a computer file involves a client computer applying the computer file concurrently with downloading the computer file from a file server. The concurrent operations can be performed even when the data of the computer file is downloaded out of order. The computer file includes a plurality of file segments. The client computer obtains information defining the file segments and monitors the received data of the computer file during downloading. When downloading of a file segment is complete, the client computer applies the completed segment concurrently with receiving other segments of the computer file from the file server. The process can be used when the computer file is downloaded using a multicast protocol, but is not limited to use with multicast protocols. The client computer can request only needed segments of the computer file.05-24-2012
20120143993CLIENT-ADJUSTABLE WINDOW SIZE FOR CONNECTIONLESS TRANSFER PROTOCOLS - Described herein are various principles for operating transfer protocols using adaptive flow control techniques. In accordance with some of these principles, a client may adaptively negotiate with a server regarding a window size to use when communicating datagrams using a connectionless content unit transfer protocol like the Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP). In some implementations, a client may inform a server whether to increase or decrease a window size. In these implementations, the client may increase the window size upon determining that a previous window size has led to successful transfer of content without any loss of datagrams and the client may decrease the window size upon detecting a loss of a datagram. Because of the limited resources available in some environments in which these techniques may be used, in some implementations a window size may be increased by small amounts but may be decreased drastically upon detecting a loss.06-07-2012
20120144060SHARED BUFFER FOR CONNECTIONLESS TRANSFER PROTOCOLS - Described herein are various principles for operating a connectionless content unit transfer protocol to transmit content of a content unit to multiple clients using a shared buffer. A server may transfer content of one or more content units to each of multiple clients upon request from the client using individual buffers. For each content unit being transferred, the server may maintain a count of the aggregate size of buffers for transferring content of that content unit. If the server determines that the aggregate size of the buffers transmitting a particular content unit is larger than the content unit itself, the server may establish a shared buffer for transferring that content unit to clients. A server using a shared buffer in this manner may transfer content of the content unit to clients using the shared buffer until all requesting clients have received the content unit.06-07-2012
