20110083446 | HIGH EFFICIENCY THERMOELECTRIC COOLING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF OPERATION - A high efficiency thermoelectric cooling system and method is described. The cooling system comprises a thermoelectric module having a semi-conductor body sandwiched in contact between a pair of thermally conductive plates. A power supply having converter circuit means provides a smooth continuous variable output direct current supply to the semi-conductor body to attenuate thermal stress in the conductive plates due to temperature differential fluctuation across the plates. One of the plates is a cold plate and the other a hot plate caused by current flow in the semi-conductor body transferring heat from the cold plate to the hot plate. A cold heat sink is associated with the cold plate to absorb heat from the insulted enclosure to cool the enclosure. A heat convection assembly including a hot heat sink evacuates heat from the hot plate to effectively manage the temperature differential across the plates. A mounting assembly is adapted to secure the thermoelectric cooling device to a wall of the insulated enclosure with the heat convection means disposed exteriorly of the insulated enclosure. An air convection housing may be provided to evacuate heat from the hot heat sink using an outside air supply or ambient air supply and using fans and gates to displace and channel the air flow. | 04-14-2011 |

20090302561 | WHEEL SINKAGE PREVENTION FOR VEHICLES - Herein disclosed, a pair of anti-sinkage devices having runners and being rotatably mountable to corresponding hubs of two transversally opposite wheels of a motorized vehicle in a manner that the runners can maintain their attitude and position although the wheel rotates. The anti-sinkage devices can thus limit sinkage of the wheels in sinking terrain, which can allow a broader use of ATV's during the winter season, for example. | 12-10-2009 |

20080264311 | Process for the Complete Combustion and Oxidation of the Mineral Fraction of Waste Treated in Direct Incineration-Vitrification Apparatus - The invention concerns a process enabling the complete combustion and oxidation of the mineral fraction of combustible waste contained in an apparatus intended to treat waste by direct incineration-vitrification, said process comprising the following steps: | 10-30-2008 |
20080281141 | Method For Confining a Substance by Vitrification - The present invention relates to a process for the manufacture of a glass frit for the containment by vitrification of a material comprising at least one oxidizable or reducible chemical species, and also to a process for the containment of said material by vitrification. The process for the manufacture of the glass frit comprises a step of incorporating into a raw glass frit at least one redox couple, the nature and the amount of which make it possible to maintain said at least one chemical species in its oxidized or reduced state. The containment process comprises mixing and hot melting the resulting glass frit and the material to be contained. The present invention makes it possible to optimize the containment of pollutants such as radionucleides, metals and metalloids. The material may be nuclear waste or a material derived from the incineration of household refuse. | 11-13-2008 |
20090326312 | METHOD FOR VITRIFICATION OF FISSION PRODUCTS - The mass to be vitrified undergoes a reduction operation in order to have the ruthenium pass from an oxidized state to a metal state in order to reduce the viscosity, the electric conductivity and to obtain good chemical kinetics. | 12-31-2009 |
