20090131074 | UTILIZING LOCATION-BASED DATA TO MANIPULATE POWER STATES OF EMBEDDED DEVICES - One or more media is provided for performing a method of utilizing location-based data to manipulate power states of one or more embedded devices on a mobile device. Initially, location-based data from a positioning system (GPS satellite) is received. Generally, the location-based data relates to a global position of the mobile device. The location-based data may then be applied to a set of positional rules, which includes comparing the position-based data against the one or more predefined positional coordinates. Accordingly, the appropriate power level of one or more embedded devices may be determined. Further, if the determination indicates that a present power level of the embedded devices conflicts with the determined appropriate power state, the power state of the conflicting embedded devices is manipulated consistent with the positional rule. As such, this configuration provides for a useful power-management scheme that preserves battery life. | 05-21-2009 |

20080253491 | Method and Apparatus for Reducing Jitter in Multi-Gigahertz Systems - An apparatus for generating an output signal that is analogous to an first signal from a first signal source that exhibits a first jitter, so that the output signal exhibits less jitter than the first jitter includes at least one second signal source generates a second signal that is analogous to and phase locked with the first signal. The second signal exhibits a second jitter that is uncorrelated with the first jitter. A signal averaging device is responsive to the first signal and the second signal. The signal averaging device averages the first signal and the second signal with respect to at least one parameter and thereby generates the output signal. | 10-16-2008 |

20140233398 | MULTI-HOP ROUTING PROTOCOL - Disclosed is a method for calculating a route for a transfer of data between a source node and a destination node via at least one intermediate node in a network comprising a plurality of nodes, which, for a current node of said route, comprises a set of nodes adjacent to said current node. The method is suitable for selecting a selection law from a set of selection laws and for choosing an intermediate node according to the current node, by applying the selected law to all or a portion of the nodes of the predetermined set for the current node. Also disclosed is a node-forming device which implements the route calculation method. | 08-21-2014 |
