20150057876 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PERFORMING AUTO-LOCATION OF A TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SENSOR ARRANGED WITH A VEHICLE WHEEL USING CONFIDENCE INTERVAL ANALYSIS AND ROLLBACK EVENTS - Auto-location systems and methods of tire pressure monitoring sensor units arranged with a wheel of a vehicle detect a predetermined time (T1) when a wheel phase angle reaches angle of interest using a rim mounted or a tire mounted sensor. The systems and methods transmit a radio frequency message associated with a wheel phase angle indication. The wheel phase angle indication triggers wheel phase and/or speed data such as ABS data at the predetermined time (T1) to be stored. A correlation algorithm is executed to identify the specific location of a wheel based on the wheel phase and/or speed data at the predetermined time (T1). TPM sensor parameters from a tire pressure monitoring sensor unit are assigned to the specific location of the wheel based on a confidence interval width analysis of the ABS data at the predetermined (T1). The confidence interval width analysis identifies the specific location of the wheel whose ABS sensor shows a lowest confidence interval width as a result of a normal distribution pattern or similar pattern. The confidence interval width analysis may calculate a weighted cumulative confidence interval width for the ABS data which experience rollback events. | 02-26-2015 |
20150057878 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PERFORMING AUTO-LOCATION OF A TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SENSOR ARRANGED WITH A VEHICLE WHEEL USING CONFIDENCE INTERVAL ANALYSIS AND CHANGE OF WHEEL DIRECTION - A method for determining change of direction of a vehicle includes steps of maintaining a rolling window of ABS data indicative of ABS tooth count and capturing a relevant rolling window of ABS data at the predetermined one-measurement point; storing the rolling window of the ABS data indicative of ABS tooth in a buffer; monitoring the ABS data and detecting a valid stop event which causes the rate of change of ABS tooth count to substantially decrement to zero; and monitoring the ABS data and detecting a valid move event which causes the rate of change of ABS tooth count to substantially increment from zero. The method also includes steps of determining a pre-stop phase relationship between at least two wheels based on the ABS tooth count stored in the buffer immediately prior to the valid stop event; determining a post-start phase relationship between at least two wheels based on the ABS tooth count stored in the buffer immediately subsequent to the valid move event; and correlating the pre-stop phase relationship and the post-start phase relationship to determine change of direction and confidence level. | 02-26-2015 |

20150345924 | APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MEASURING DEVICE MARKINGS - The present invention is a measuring apparatus that is capable of facilitating the measurement of stud or truss placement behind a wall or beneath a roof. The invention comprises a measurement apparatus or system with indicators for informing the user of the exact measurement for the location of a stud behind a wall or a truss beneath a roof. Embodiments of the invention comprise: a retractable tape measure with such indicators visibly printed on the retractable tape, an optical projection system that projects a light image onto the work surface and indicates the location of studs or trusses on said work surface, and a retractable tape system that features flexible display technology and uses such technology to display indicators for stud and truss locations. The invention is customizable for configuration to the building codes or regulations of the region(s) in which the user is intending to use the apparatus or system. | 12-03-2015 |

20150327616 | PRACTICE DEVICE - A practice device is disclosed for attachment to a face mask of a football helmet or the like. The practice device includes a weighted body portion that has a flexible stem. A clip or clasp attaches the outer end of the stem to the face mask. The clasp attaches the device to the helmet in a manner so that the body portion of the device partially obstructs the helmet wearer's view and thereby allows the wearer to practice throwing a ball (or receiving) while view is obstructed. | 11-19-2015 |

20090123344 | Framed freshener - A framed freshener provides a thermal formed cavity, or thermoplastic shell, carrying scented gel that fits into a picture frame. The present invention locates a fragrant gel in a thermal formed cavity or thermoplastic shell or container which is then placed within a suitably designed picture frame. Coupling a fragrance with a photo in a frame, the present invention seeks to foster memories in those who view the frame. Additionally, the shell carrying gel makes the frame a decorative air freshening device. The picture frame and the opening for the fragrance container can be die cut to any shape. An alternate embodiment has the shell supported in a wire frame upon a base. | 05-14-2009 |

20150313379 | APPARATUS FOR HOLDING JEWELRY AND OTHER ARTICLES - An apparatus for holding jewelry and other articles has a first and second support that slidably engage one another. The engagement of the supports allows a smooth surface on the first support, so that jewelry or other small articles may be disposed thereon and freely slid back and forth along the surface of the first support. The full insertion of the second support allows a smooth surface to be present without any transition of cross-sections that would catch or impede the movement of stored items. At least one small-accessory storage component is also provided, to slidably engage the first support and hold further small items. Items may be added or removed from the apparatus by disengaging the first and second supports after sliding already-retained items to one side, and then re-engaging the supports. | 11-05-2015 |

20110047039 | METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR GIVING A GIFT - A first person can give a gift by using a mobile phone or other communications device to access a central computing system to which a gift and a second person (the intended recipient of the gift) can be identified by the first person. Thereafter, the central computing system transmits a unique code to the mobile phone or other communications device of the second person. The code can then be given by the second person, verbally or by transmission or display by his/her mobile phone, to a retailer of the gift. Upon validation by the retailer, such as by communication between the retailer's point-of-sale system and the central computing system, the retailer provides the gift identified by the first person. | 02-24-2011 |
