20090217827 | ROUND BALER WITH SCALE AND MOISTURE METER - A large round baler equipped with moisture sensing apparatus and a bale scale to improve information useful in baling and using bales. Moisture sensing begins after the bale reaches a predetermined diameter. A history of bale weights is used to estimate how much tension to apply to a belt tensioner to achieve both a target bale weight and a target bale size. | 09-03-2009 |
20090314067 | Method of determining baling conditions in a round baler - A large round baler equipped with moisture sensing apparatus and a bale scale to improve information useful in baling and using bales. Moisture sensing begins after the bale reaches a predetermined diameter. A history of bale weights is used to estimate how much tension to apply to a belt tensioner to achieve both a target bale weight and a target bale size. | 12-24-2009 |

20080282647 | Apparatus for Initiating Automatic Feed of Bale Wrapping Material - Large cylindrical bales of hay, straw, or other forage or fodder are usually wrapped with a filament-type product, typically twine, or a sheet-type product, typically netwrap material, after a bale has reached a predetermined size. A method and apparatus are disclosed that permits the bale to continue to form during part of the wrapping process. A delay occurs between the initiation of the wrapping step and the alarm for the operator to stop the forward movement of the baler. By inserting the wrap material to an entry throat of the baler, new crop material may be added to the bale while the leading edge of the wrap material travels around the bale. The operator is notified only when the feed of additional crop material needs to be stopped for the wrapping operation to conclude. The present invention is applicable to the use of sheet or filament wrapping materials for binding round bales. | 11-20-2008 |
20090107100 | CUSHIONED SWING CYLINDER FOR AGRICULTURAL MOWER - A swing cylinder such as those used to offset an agricultural implement may experience larges forces as it reaches the ends of its travel. A cushioning system to mitigate these forces comprises a piston with wear rings engaged thereto. The wear rings block off a usual passageway for the hydraulic fluid to flow, and provide their own, much smaller passageway. The flow of hydraulic fluid is thereby restricted in the neighborhood of the extremes of piston travel. An additional aspect of the invention is that the wear rings are pushed out of their position blocking the passageway when hydraulic fluid pressure is applied to move the piston away from the extreme position, thereby completely removing the restriction to flow in that direction. | 04-30-2009 |
20100037577 | Crop Anti-Wrapping Method and Apparatus - An oversleeve for preventing crop material from wrapping around an agricultural implement shaft. The oversleeve is disposed over the implement shaft and affixed to a stripper pan so it does not rotate with the shaft. The oversleeve is preferably made of a polymer composite material. Removal of dirt between the shaft and oversleeve is effected by a helical groove arranged so the dirt is driven to the ends of the oversleeve. | 02-18-2010 |

20090163370 | Competitive N-Hybrid System - The invention relates to a method for identifying highly affinous ligands comprising the following steps: a) creating a bank for a mutagenized first hybrid protein comprising a plurality of mutants; b) expression of a first hybrid protein in a host with a second hybrid protein, one of the hybrid proteins comprising the DNA binding domain of a transcription factor and a bait protein and the other hybrid protein comprising the activation domain for a transcription factor and a prey protein; c) allowing the binding reaction between the first and second hybrid protein in order to form a complex with a functional transcription factor in the host cell under reaction conditions, which are such that the balance of the binding reaction is offset on the side of the hybrid proteins; d) detecting the binding reaction by detecting a reporter gene expressed via the functional transcription factor; e) optionally repeating one or more steps from a) to d); f) selection of a mutant. | 06-25-2009 |

20120102791 | SHEAR RESISTANT EXCAVATION COMPONENT - An excavation component is disclosed herein. The excavation component includes a cutter structure carrier and a cutter structure carried by the cutter structure carrier. The excavation component also includes a fastener for securing the cutter structure to the cutter structure carrier. The cutter structure carrier and the cutter structure have an interlocking geometry for transferring shear between the cutter structure carrier and the cutter structure so as to reduce an amount of shear applied to the fastener during excavation operations. | 05-03-2012 |
20140007465 | SURFACE EXCAVATION MACHINE - The present disclosure relates to a low height pivot arrangement for allowing an excavation tool of a surface excavation machine to be pivoted between an upper transport position and a lower excavating position. The low height pivot arrangement assists in reducing a moment arm of the excavation tool when the excavation tool is raised during non-excavating operations. | 01-09-2014 |
20140048635 | LOCAL DUST EXTRACTION SYSTEM FOR AN EXCAVATION MACHINE - The present disclosure relates to an air cleaning system for an off-road excavation apparatus. The off-road excavation apparatus includes an excavating component and a shroud assembly that at least partially covers the excavating component. The shroud assembly includes a first shroud component and a second shroud component. The first shroud component is moveable relative to the second shroud component to allow access to the excavating component. The air cleaning system draws air from inside the shroud assembly and includes an air cleaner, an air conduit and an air moving device that are all carried by the first shroud component as the first shroud component is moved relative to the second shroud component. | 02-20-2014 |
