20100088137 | WORK LISTS AND COCKPIT TO CONTROL COMPLEX PROCESSES - A method, system and article of manufacture for creating a worklist and organizing a cockpit to control complex processes execution. A process hierarchy is created, including a plurality of organizational levels. A worklist of a plurality of worktasks, grouped in accordance with the process hierarchy, is created. The plurality of worktasks includes both internal worktasks, to be executed on a local computer system, and external worktasks, to be executed on external computer systems. A number of worklist views are displayed, where each worklist view includes a corresponding subset of the plurality of worktasks organized in accordance with the process hierarchy. Executions of internal and external worktasks are initiated from one or more of the worklist. Further, detailed information relevant to the execution is received. The executions of the tasks are monitored on one the worklist views. | 04-08-2010 |
20130117230 | Enablement of Quasi Time Dependency in Organizational Hierarchies - Changes to a hierarchical organizational structure may be stored in different versions of a data structure depicting the hierarchical organizational structure. Each of these versions may include a validity period field representing a time period that the hierarchical organizational structure depicted in the version accurately reflects the organizational structure of the organization. Each of the versions may also be designated as active or inactive. In some instances, each of the versions may be designated as inactive except for a version that reflects the organizational structure of the organization at a particular time, which may change over time. Historical copies of versions may be stored and subsequently recalled to identify an organizational structure that was in effect at a particular time in the past. The recalled version may then be used to limit the results of a query to a selected node of the historical organizational structure. | 05-09-2013 |

20090132110 | Checking Of Repairs For Electronic Vehicle Systems - The solution is arrived at with a computer-based diagnostic tester which can exchange information with the control devices installed in the motor vehicle using a diagnostic program via a diagnostic interface and via data lines. The motor vehicle-mounted control devices have program routines for self-diagnostics of the control devices and are capable of storing identified faults in the form of fault codes in reserved memory areas. The diagnostic program which is implemented in the diagnostic tester reads the fault codes out from the reserved memory areas, interprets the fault codes and displays them on a display together with the interpretations. In order to check to what extent repairs which have been performed have been successfully concluded, status polling is carried out using the diagnostic program implemented in the diagnostic tester. During this status polling, the status information of all the fault codes known in the system is interrogated and evaluated. In the process, all the fault codes whose fault setting conditions have either been tested positively or whose test requirements were not present in order to be able to carry out a test are displayed. A method for improved checking of repairs is also presented with the diagnostic tester. | 05-21-2009 |
20090177352 | System and Method for Motor Vehicle Diagnosis and Vehicle Reception - A vehicle diagnosis system for ascertaining, storing and transmitting diagnosis data from control units in a motor vehicle to a computer outside of the motor vehicle has components which are inside of the vehicle and components which are outside of the vehicle. The onboard components are capable of autonomously requesting diagnosis data from control units, buffer-storing the diagnosis data and of transmitting the diagnosis data to offboard components. The offboard components can be used to configure the onboard components, to visually display the transmitted data and to forward said data to subsequent systems. Access is effected using a communication module, which is preferably implemented in a diagnosis control unit with a dedicated gateway and which is not the control unit for the central locking. A gateway for diagnosis applications is present in the vehicle in the case of vehicles with a diagnosis CAN bus or with another diagnosis bus. | 07-09-2009 |
20090204287 | Diagnostic System and Diagnostic Test with a WLAN Transmission Module - The invention relates to a motor vehicle diagnostic system for acquiring and storing diagnostic data and transmitting them from control units in a motor vehicle to a computer outside the motor vehicle. The system is composed of components which are located inside the vehicle and of components which are located outside the vehicle. Using a transmission module, in which a short diagnostic test is implemented, diagnostic data from onboard components are interrogated and are transmitted via a WLAN link to the computer system of a service company. The diagnostic data of the onboard components can be further processed using the computer system. The disclosed invention is aimed in particular at assisting a service employee in the vehicle reception of a service workshop. | 08-13-2009 |
20090306849 | SYSTEM FOR DIAGNOSIS OF MOTOR VEHICLES, AND FOR RECEPTION OF VEHICLES AT A REPAIR FACILITY - In a diagnostic system, messages which have occurred are collected and buffered with a short diagnostic test which is implemented in a control unit onboard the vehicle. The collected data are then transmitted into a memory area of the portable electronic driving authorization record, which therefore always contains the result of a short diagnostic test which has been carried out onboard. The result of this short diagnostic test is read out from the memory of the driving authorization record with a computer system in the customer reception of a servicing workshop, and is processed with a more wide-ranging diagnostic algorithm which builds on the result of the short diagnostic test. | 12-10-2009 |
