20080251151Lining material and pipeline lining method - A flexible tubular lining material impregnated with a thermosetting resin is folded and bound with tape to provide a reduced width. Two steel belts are inserted into belt loops and are removably attached so as to sandwich the lining material. During pipeline lining work, first, the steel-belted lining material is inserted into a lateral pipe from the main pipe. The steel belts are then removed from the lining material so that the lining material may remain inside the pipeline. The steel belts are extracted from the pipeline, and the lining material is then made to expand via application of pressure from the inside. While kept in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the pipeline, the lining material is heated in order to cure the thermosetting resin thereof.10-16-2008
20090183794Lateral pipe lining material and lateral pipe lining method - A lateral pipe lining material having a tubular resin-absorbing material impregnated with a thermosetting resin is inserted through a main pipe into the lateral pipe. The lateral pipe lining material is provided with a pushing-up member to push up a collar formed at its end of the lateral pipe lining material. When the lateral pipe lining material is drawn into the lateral pipe to the extent that the collar reaches an opening of the lateral pipe, the pushing-up member is lifted to bring the collar into close contact with the lateral pipe opening periphery of the main pipe. The lateral pipe lining material is then expanded and a heating medium is applied thereto to cure the resin impregnated in the tubular resin-absorbing material. The lateral pipe lining material can be drawn smoothly into the lateral pipe even when it is bent, enabling the lateral pipe to be lined with a high quality.07-23-2009
20090208291Lining material and pipeline lining method - A flexible tubular lining material impregnated with a thermosetting resin is folded and bound with a tape to provide a reduced width. Two steel belts are inserted into belt loops and are removably attached so as to sandwich the lining material. Another steel belt is fixedly attached to one end of the lining material. During pipeline lining work, first, the steel-belted lining material is inserted into a lateral pipe from the main pipe. The steel belts are then removed from the lining material so that the lining material may remain inside the pipeline. After the steel belts are extracted from the pipeline, the lining material is made to expand via application of pressure from the inside. While kept in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the pipeline, the lining material is heated in order to cure the thermosetting resin therein. Such an arrangement allows the lining material to be easily and smoothly inserted into a pipeline even where there is a plurality of sections bent at a right angle or close to a right angle.08-20-2009
20100008729Method for rehabilitating a manhole - To line an inner circumferential surface of side walls of a manhole, a rehabilitating sheet made of a sheet material resistant to water and corrosion is provided in the form of a bag having a shape corresponding to the inner circumferential surface to be lined. The rehabilitating sheet is inserted into the manhole to be lined. Block and plate frames are coupled inside the bag of the rehabilitating sheet to support it so as to have the shape corresponding to the inner circumferential surface to be lined. A gap between the rehabilitating sheet and the inner circumferential surface of the side walls of the manhole is filled with a filler, which is then hardened to line the side walls of the manhole. Pairs of plate frames having different diameters are coupled to each other to provide ring plates having different diameters. The ring plates are stacked one by one from the maximum one to support the rehabilitating sheet so as to have a shape of the inner circumferential surface of the inclined side wall portion of the manhole.01-14-2010
20100012213Rehabilitating pipe segment and existing pipe rehabilitation method using same - A rehabilitating pipe segment of the invention is comprised of first and second segment halves that are linked together to provide a variable-width segment. The first segment half has an internal surface plate, a convex plate extending parallel to the internal surface plate, and a side plate extending perpendicular to the internal surface plate.01-21-2010
20100012214Pipe lining material and method for manufacturing same - A pipe lining material comprising an inner lining material and an outer lining material is used to rehabilitate an aged existing pipe. The inner lining material and the outer lining material are made of a tubular resin-absorbent material that is impregnated with a photo-curing resin and a thermosetting resin. The resin-absorbent material of the inner lining material has a higher density than that of the outer lining material. The photo-curing resin of the inner and outer lining materials is cured by light when the pipe lining material is irradiated with light, and the heat generated when the photo-curing resin is cured cures the thermosetting resin of the inner and outer lining materials. Since the resin-absorbent material of the inner lining material has a high density, voids are less readily formed. Even if voids are generated in the resin-absorbent material of the outer lining material, the voids will be covered by the inner lining material having fewer voids. This ensures that the pipe lining material will have better water-tightness.01-21-2010
20100101674Method for linking segments and linking tool - A linking tool links segments for a rehabilitating pipe for rehabilitating an existing pipeline. The segment is integrally formed at least from an internal surface plate that constitutes the inner circumferential surface of the rehabilitating pipe, and side plates that have an insertion hole formed thereon and are disposed on both sides of the internal surface plate so as to extend in the circumferential direction of the rehabilitating pipe. The linking tool includes a tubular linking pin that is separable into pin halves and can be inserted into the insertion hole in the side plate of a first segment with a part of the linking pin remaining outside the first segment. The linking tool further includes a separating pin that can be inserted into the linking pin to separate the linking pin into the pin halves and press them against the first segment for anchoring thereto. The pin halves remaining outside the first segment are snap-fitted into a second segment through the insertion hole of the side plate thereof, thereby linking the first and second segments in the longitudinal direction of the rehabilitating pipe. Such a linking tool allows the segments to be efficiently linked in a short period of time04-29-2010
20100102473METHOD OF MANUFACTURING LIQUID DISCHARGE HEAD - A method of manufacturing a liquid discharge head including a flow path member for forming a flow path communicating with a discharge port discharging a liquid forms a mold of the flow path made of a positive photosensitive resin on a substrate; applies a coated layer on the mold for forming the flow path member, which coated layer includes a solvent, an epoxy resin, and a curing agent of the epoxy resin; removes the solvent from the coated layer at a normal temperature under substantially 1 atm. so that the weight of the coated layer may become 93% or less of that of the coated layer at a time of the applying of the coated layer, and then further removes the solvent from the coated layer under a depressurized condition; cures the coated layer; and removes the mold to form the flow path.04-29-2010
20100139799Method for rehabilitating existing pipes, and rehabilitation pipe segment used in said method - Segments are coupled in the circumferential and lengthwise directions to assemble a rehabilitation pipe inside an existing pipe. Thereafter, a pipe-lining material impregnated with a liquid curable resin is inserted into the assembled rehabilitation pipe, and the curable resin is cured in a state in which the pipe-lining material is pressed against the internal circumferential surface of the rehabilitation pipe. This allows the internal circumferential surface of the rehabilitation pipe to be lined with the lining material. With such a configuration, a rehabilitation pipe composed of segments and a rehabilitation pipe composed of a pipe-lining material are constructed to provide a self-supporting pipe inside the existing pipe with dramatically improved strength that will incur little damage or breaking even when an earthquake occurs or another large impact is applied.06-10-2010

The method includes the steps of: preparing the silicon substrate having a sacrifice layer at a portion on the first surface where the ink supply port is to be formed and an etching mask layer having a plurality of openings on the second surface, the volume of a portion of the sacrifice layer at a position corresponding to a portion between two adjacent said openings being smaller than the volume of a portion of the sacrifice layer at a position corresponding to the opening; etching the silicon substrate from the plurality of openings and etching the sacrifice layer.06-17-2010
20100150659Apparatus for everting a lining material - An apparatus for everting and inserting a pipe-lining material to rehabilitate an underground pipeline comprises an everting nozzle that is disposed so that an opening thereof faces an opening of the pipeline. The pipe-lining material is brought un-everted up to the everting nozzle and attached to the nozzle opening thereof and fluid pressure is applied inside the pipe-lining material to evert and insert it in the pipe-extending direction of the pipeline to be rehabilitated. Eversion of the pipe-lining material is started at the location of the pipeline opening and the pipe-lining material remains flat without being everted in a curved portion where the travel direction of the pipe-lining material changes toward the pipeline opening. This allows no considerable friction to be generated at the curved portion and the pipe-lining material to be smoothly and reliably everted and inserted into the affected pipeline.06-17-2010
20100154187Pipe-lining material and pipe-lining method - The pipe-lining material includes a pipe-shaped resin absorbent material impregnated with a liquid curable resin, and a tube that covers the pipe-shaped resin absorbent material and that can be removed from the pipe-shaped resin absorbent material. The curable resin impregnated in the pipe-shaped resin absorbent material is cured in a state in which the pipe-lining material is pressed against the internal peripheral surface of the existing pipe, the tube covering the pipe-shaped resin absorbent material of the pipe-lining material is removed from the pipe-shaped resin absorbent material after the curable resin impregnated in the pipe-shaped resin absorbent material has been cured, and the surface of the pipe-shaped resin absorbent material having the cured resin is used as the internal peripheral surface of the rehabilitated existing pipe. The internal peripheral surface can be prevented from becoming rough and the coefficient of roughness of the internal peripheral surface of the rehabilitated existing pipe can be reduced because the internal peripheral surface of the existing pipe is a cured, firm resin surface.06-24-2010
20100175818Method for manufacturing pipe-lining material - A method is proposed for manufacturing a pipe-lining material comprising a tubular resin absorbent material covered with a tube comprised of an airtight plastic film. The tubular resin absorbent material is inserted into the tube, expanded in a columnar shape, and brought into close contact with the internal peripheral surface of the tube. A heater is wound in close contact with the external peripheral surface of the tube thus expanded. The tube and the tubular resin absorbent material are heated by energizing the heater, and the tube is thereby heat-fused to the tubular resin absorbent material. With such a method, a mechanism for moving the tube and the tubular resin absorbent material is not required. In addition, since heat non-uniformities are not generated, the tube can be uniformly heat-fused to the tubular resin absorbent material, thereby enabling a high-quality pipe-lining material to be manufactured.07-15-2010
20100227093Pipe-lining material - A pipe-lining material comprises a tubular resin absorbent material impregnated with a photo-curing resin or a thermosetting resin mixed therewith. A tubular shading film is thermally fused and bonded to the external peripheral surface of the tubular resin absorbent material. In such a structure, the entire external peripheral surface of the tubular resin absorbent material is covered with the shading film, preventing the photo-curing resin impregnated in the tubular resin absorbent material from being accidentally exposed to and cured with external light, and the shading film from deviating in position relative to the tubular resin absorbent material. The shading film can easily be obtained by adding a color pigment to a polyethylene film or other highly airtight plastic film when this plastic film is being produced. Therefore, the conventionally used coating step involving the use of a plastic film can be directly used to produce a pipe-lining material having high shading characteristics.09-09-2010
20100258244Lateral pipe-lining method and flange-pressing implement for lateral pipe-lining material used in the method - A lateral pipe that intersects a main pipe is lined using a lateral pipe-lining material having a tubular resin-absorbing material impregnated with a curable resin and having a flange formed at one end thereof. The flange of the lateral pipe-lining material is disposed on an expandable flange-pressing implement, and an adhesive is applied onto the flange. Hot water is fed to the flange-pressing implement to expand and press the flange against the periphery of the lateral pipe opening of the main pipe. The hot water thus fed also heats and cures the adhesive on the flange to secure it to the periphery of the lateral pipe opening of the main pipe. The drainage performance of the main pipe can be improved because a gap does not form between the flange of the lateral pipe-lining material and the periphery of the lateral pipe opening of the main pipe, and neither underground water nor earth or sand flows into the main pipe.10-14-2010
20100282351Pipe-lining material and pipeline lining method - A flexible tubular pipe-lining material impregnated with a thermosetting resin is sandwiched by sandwiching steel belts in order to impart elasticity and rigidity thereto. A leading steel belt for leading the pipe-lining material is fixedly attached to the distal end thereof and the sandwiching steel belts. A drawing steel belt is removably attached to the leading steel belt to draw the pipe-lining material into a pipeline to be repaired. Additionally, an auxiliary steel belt is attached to the pipe-lining material to support the insertion thereof into the pipeline. The pipe-lining material can be inserted into the pipeline by the sandwiching steel belts, the drawing steel belt and the auxiliary steel belt. Such an arrangement allows the pipe-lining material to be easily and smoothly inserted into the pipeline even where there is a plurality of sections bent at a right angle or close to a right angle.11-11-2010
20100307624Existing pipe rehabilitation method - Segments are linked in the circumferential and pipe length directions to assemble a rehabilitating pipe inside an existing pipe in order to rehabilitate the existing pipe. A plurality of nuts are secured to the segments along the circumferential direction thereof. A fastening member having a screw part is provided which is screwed into the nut to fasten a first segment to a second segment to which the nut is secured, thereby linking the first and second segments in the pipe length direction thereof. The position of the nut in the first segment is offset as viewed in the circumferential direction from the nut position of the second segment. The arrangement of the fastening members and the nuts is staggered as viewed in its entirety. This allows the connection strength of the segments in the pipe length direction to be made uniform.12-09-2010

20110186205Lateral pipe lining material, lateral pipe lining material production method, and lateral pipe lining method - A lateral pipe lining material is inserted into a lateral pipe that intersects with a main pipe. The lateral pipe lining material includes a flexible tubular resin-absorbing material impregnated with an uncured liquid curable resin and a flange member joined thereto. The flange member comprises a flange part having an arcuately curved surface whose curvature corresponds to an inner surface of the main pipe, and a cylindrical part that extends from the flange part. The tubular resin-absorbing material has one end folded back outwards. The folded-back end of the tubular resin-absorbing material is fitted onto the cylindrical part of the flange member and pressed out over the flange part of the flange member. An adhesive is applied to the flange part of the flange member and the folded-back end of the tubular resin-absorbing material to bond the tubular resin-absorbing material to the flange member, thus producing a lateral pipe lining material in an uncomplicated manner with few members.08-04-2011
20120060346Lateral pipe lining method and lateral pipe lining apparatus - A lateral pipe lining material having a flange on one end thereof is installed on a head collar which is hermetically mounted on a pressure bag that stores the lateral pipe lining material. The head collar comprises a curved section and a cylindrical section projecting from the curved section. An expandable member is mounted to the outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical section of the head collar, and expanded so that the outer circumferential surface of the expanding member comes into close contact with the inner circumferential surface near the flange, and the inner circumferential surface thereof comes into close contact with the outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical section of the head collar. This allows a hermetical connection between the lateral pipe lining material and the head collar and ensures a reliable eversion and insertion of the lining material into a lateral pipe.03-15-2012
20120103514Lateral pipe lining method and lateral pipe lining apparatus - A main pipe is lined by a main pipe lining material comprising a resin pipe made of a thermoplastic resin. A flange of a lateral pipe lining material is formed of a material capable of being welded to the thermoplastic resin of the resin pipe of the main pipe lining material. The thermoplastic resins of the flange of the lateral pipe lining material and the resin pipe are heated for plastic welding by a heater to integrally join the flange of the lateral pipe lining material with the main pipe lining material. This prevents the ingress of underground water together with sediment into the main pipe from the section where the lateral pipe and the main pipe intersect.05-03-2012
20130008551LATERAL PIPE LINING MATERIAL, METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF SAME, AND LATERAL PIPE LINING PROCESS - A resin sheet that is comprised of a thermoplastic resin capable of being thermally welded to a lining material of a main pipe is attached to a flange of a lateral pipe liming material via a resin-absorbing material. The resin sheet and the resin-absorbing material are thermally welded. The flange and the resin-absorbing material are respectively impregnated with a thermoplastic resin, which is cured to bond the flange and the resin-absorbing material. A similar configuration is provided to the bottom side of the flange as well. The resin sheet of the thermoplastic resin is integrally bonded to the flange, so that the flange of the lateral pipe lining material and the main pipe lining material can be reliably bonded by a simple method through thermally welding of the lining material of the main pipe and the resin sheet, even in a case in which the flange is hard.01-10-2013
