20100114918 | GENERATION OF DEGENERATE SEQUENCES AND IDENTIFICATION OF INDIVIDUAL SEQUENCES FROM A DEGENERATE SEQUENCE - The invention relates to identification of individual nucleic acid sequences from a mixed nucleic acid population. A typical application is to determine the bacteria present in sample containing a mix of several different bacteria. Present techniques require initial cultivation of the mixed bacteria sample and manual separation of the bacteria prior to sequencing. The invention allows for identification of the different bacteria by direct sequencing of the mixed bacteria sample without prior cultivation and separation. One aspect of the invention relates to generating a degenerate sequence from a chromatogram obtained by sequencing a mixed bacteria sample. Another aspect relates to base-calling, i.e. identification of individual sequences making up the degenerate sequence from the mixed bacteria sample. In this aspect, the degenerate sequence is divided into degenerate subsequences from which query subsequence combinations are generated. Then each query subsequence combination is aligned against target sequences present in a database. From these alignments, the target sequences present in the database are assigned an overall score which is used to determine which individual sequences were present in the mixed bacteria sample. | 05-06-2010 |

20130300098 | ROLLER SKI - The invention relates to a roller ski which is employed amongst other things for training in classic cross-country skiing during the summer. The object of this roller ski is to achieve a pressure-dependent grip when a kick is generated, with the result that more pressure on the ski from the foot provides better grip. This is in order to simulate skiing on snow, where in classic style pressure has to be placed on the ski during the kick in order to obtain grip on the middle of the ski. The invention is based on a common principle. Roller systems with free roll both forwards and backwards are combined with roller systems with one-way roll, in such a manner that when the pressure on the roller ski from the skier increases, the roller system(s) with one-way roll will be activated to an increasing extent as the pressure on the ski increases, with the result that the ski obtains grip thereby enabling a kick to be generated. The grip is obtained without any risk of the ski jerking in the event of unexpected pressure from a rough surface. Without extra pressure the roller ski will be liable to back-sliding just like a classic cross-country ski with grip wax under the middle and glide wax at the front and rear. | 11-14-2013 |

It is tool-less so the attachment position of the binding strap can be unlocked from one position on the binding frame and locked into another position fairly easily with bare hands 2. It has a stable locking mechanism based on a profiled press-button/pin element fitting into at least one hole with profiled shape provided in the frame of the binding where also at least one hole provided in the strap(s) will fit in and be securely locked in when the button element is put in place 3. The press-button element is put in place from the inside and prevented from popping out during use also by the boot which blocks the only exit direction for the button element, which is inwards. The wrist-strap will further be prevented from popping out by the highback, which during riding covers the button element holding the wrist-strap in place. The toe-strap may further be prevented from popping out by the base-plate. | 01-29-2015 |

20140174187 | SYSTEM FOR MEASURING PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE - The present invention relates to system for measuring pressure and temperature based on change in the characteristic properties of a medium for ultrasound under the effect of pressure and temperature. The invention is based on two waveguides where geometry is adapted to the medium's characteristic properties for ultrasound such that only planar pressure waves are generated in the waveguides. The first of the waveguides is arranged for measuring temperature due to thermal expansion of the medium, where the medium is pressure-compensated by means of an internal compensator to prevent thermal pressure accumulation, and where measuring temperature is based on the medium's specific known characteristic data for ultrasound under the effect of temperature under constant pressure. The second waveguide is arranged for measuring pressure, based on waveguide and the medium's known characteristic properties for thermal expansion and pressure, and where the thermal effect is corrected analytically based on measurement of temperature in the first channel. The physical principle of the invention is based on the properties of a medium (oil) where the stability for high temperature and pressure is crucial for long-term properties. Long-term properties of ultrasound sensors are not physically linked to the medium's properties, such that change in characteristic properties of ultrasound sensors does not impair the accuracy of the medium unless the function of the ultrasound sensors ceases. The physical principle of the invention allows an arrangement where ultrasound sensors can be separated from measuring channels by a pressure barrier, such that the integrity of the pressure barrier is not broken. | 06-26-2014 |
