20100179849 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING BACKHAUL OPPORTUNITIES - A method for identifying backhaul opportunities is provided. The method includes receiving data corresponding to a position, time and status from a plurality of vehicles. The method includes generating a database of trips made by the plurality of vehicles based on the data received, wherein each of the trips is identified with a start point and an end point. The method also includes determining similarity between the trips to cluster the trips, wherein said determining comprises comparing a spatial distance between respective start points and respective end points with a pre-determined distance criteria. The method further includes identifying a frequency of each of the trips clustered made by the plurality of vehicles, wherein each of the trips are actual routes traveled between respective start points and respective end points. The method also includes generating a model for historical vehicle movement based on the identified frequent trips. The method also includes identifying a plurality of backhaul opportunities for a proposed empty trip using the model generated. The method further includes ranking the backhaul opportunities based on a frequency and cargo status of trips intersecting the proposed empty trip. | 07-15-2010 |

20110208667 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR EMISSIONS REDUCTION - A method for reducing emissions from a plurality of moving assets includes receiving trip pattern data corresponding to positions and times from the moving assets and the preference data from a plurality of users. A database of trips made by the moving assets is then generated based on the trip pattern data and trip consolidation opportunities for the moving assets are identified based on the generated database. The method also includes ranking the trip consolidation opportunities based on the preference data and utilizing the ranked trip consolidation opportunities to provide shipping recommendations designed to reduce fuel consumption of the moving assets. | 08-25-2011 |

20150258434 | GAMING SYSTEM FOR MODULAR TOYS - An interactive computer game is described which works in conjunction with a number of physical modules that a user can connect together in different ways to form a coherent physical whole object. The game receives data from the object via a wireless link, the data identifying at least which modules form part of the object and updates game play based on the data received. At some point within the game play, the game presents an objective or goal to the user which the user can only achieve by interacting with the physical object formed from the modules. In an embodiment, this interaction comprises re-arranging the modules or swapping modules to form an object with a different visual appearance, moving all or part of the object and/or interacting with a sensor on a module in the object. The game may receive further data from the object during the user interaction. | 09-17-2015 |
