A carrier gas source provides a carrier gas. A nozzle assembly includes multiple plates secured to one another. One of the plates provides a nozzle profile, such as a venturi, having a gas carrier inlet receiving the carrier gas. The nozzle profile also provides a powder injection region receiving the metallic powder In one example, a profile plate includes an aperture providing the venturi. The venturi includes converging and diverging portions joined by a throat. The carrier gas inlet is in communication with the converging portion upstream from the throat. The powder injection region is in communication with the diverging section downstream from the throat. The profile plate includes an end from which the intermixed metallic powder and carrier gas exit the nozzle assembly. The aperture includes walls defining an increasing width extending axially from a location where the powder is introduced to the carrier gas to the end for providing generally laminar flow of the intermixed carrier gas and metallic powder. One or more profile plates can be selected based upon desired spray parameters and assembled to provide the nozzle assembly. Different substances may be provided to each nozzle profile, if desired. The nozzle profile geometry can be selected to achieve a desired spray parameter for depositing the metallic powder onto the substrate. | 01-28-2010 |
20150197858 | FABRICATION OF THREE-DIMENSIONAL HEAT TRANSFER ENHANCING FEATURES ON A SUBSTRATE - Disclosed is a method and apparatus of fabricating three-dimensional heat transfer enhancing features on a surface of a substrate, the three-dimensional heat transfer enhancing features having a predetermined desired shape on a surface of a substrate. A mask is supplied, the mask having a pattern formed therein. The pattern is selected based on the predetermined desired shape of the three-dimensional heat transfer enhancing features to be fabricated. A jet of impinging coating particles is sprayed through the mask towards the substrate. A portion of the jet is selectively blocked with the pattern in the mask to fabricate the three-dimensional heat transfer enhancing features on the substrate. | 07-16-2015 |

20150271273 | System for Using a Device as a Side Car - A system for sharing a communications session between multiple devices is disclosed. The system may receive a first request to establish the communications session from a first device associated with a user. The system may establish the communications session for the first device associated with the user in response to the first request. Additionally, the system may receive, from a second device associated with the first user, a second request to join the communications session. Furthermore, the system may join the second device to the communications session if the first request and the second request include a common identifier for the first user. Moreover, the system may transmit instructions for causing communications associated with the first device to be presented on a user interface of the second device during the communications session. | 09-24-2015 |
20150271447 | SYSTEM FOR ENABLING MESHED CONFERENCES TO BE SEAMLESSLY PROMOTED TO FULL MCU BASED CONFERENCES - A method of conferencing participant video data and audio data includes switching from a mesh-based conference to an MCU-based conference upon the occurrence of a trigger event. The mesh-based conference includes transmitting separate video and audio data streams between endpoints, and the MCU-based conference includes transmitting single video/audio data from endpoints to an MCU and combined video/audio data streams from the MCU to the endpoints | 09-24-2015 |
20150350428 | PUSHING WEB AND APPLICATION PAGES DURING VIDEO/AUDIO CALLS - A method and system for pushing web pages to a web client during a video/audio call. The method involves assigning a correlation ID to a web client to which a web page is served. The same correlation ID value is communicated by the web client to a VIVR/context web server computer. The VIVR/context web server computer is arranged to serve at least one web page to the web client. A voice/video call is established between the web client and a contact center agent computer responsive to a request from the web client. As part of initiating such call, the correlation ID is communicated to the contact center agent computer. Thereafter, during the voice/video call, at least one command is generated which causes the VIVR web server to serve at least one web page to the web client using the correlation ID. | 12-03-2015 |

20150203304 | Vision-Assisted Robotized Depalletizer - A vision-assisted robotized depalletizer receives at a pallet station a pallet loaded with products and outputs on a conveyor unitized products aligned in a desired orientation. Such depalletizers include a vision system having one or more image acquisition sensors that are positioned relative to the pallet station so as to have a field of view covering a top portion of the pallet. The sensors send to a controller one or more image of the top portion of the pallet that the controller uses along to determine the position of each product in the top portion of the pallet. The depalletizer further includes a robot equipped with a depalletizing tool that is coupled to the vision system controller for receiving information indicative of the position of each product from the top portion and uses that information to pick and position on the output conveyor each product from the top portion. | 07-23-2015 |
20150210483 | Product Orientor - Embodiments of a product orientor include a turner conveyor that defines conveying plan and direction for a product received thereon and that has an initial orientation relative to the conveying direction. The initial orientation is determined by a vision system that is positioned upstream from the turner conveyor. The turner conveyor is rotatable about an axis that is perpendicular to the conveying plan between a conveying orientation, wherein the product is in the initial orientation, and a rectifying orientation, wherein the product is in a predetermined orientation relative to the conveying orientation. The product orientor further includes pressure plates that are movable between a retracted configuration and a holding configuration wherein the product is maintained in the predetermined orientation while the turner conveyor is moved from the rectifying orientation to the initial conveying orientation. | 07-30-2015 |
20150290805 | Vision-Assisted System and Method for Picking of Rubber Bales in a Bin - The problem of picking tightly-pack generally uniformed products such as rubber bales in a bin is solved by sequentially selecting each one of the products based on the products depths in the bin, using a robot with a tool to grip each selected product, and moving on an output station each gripped product considering its position relative to the gripping tool. A first sensor system is used to determine the product depths in the bin. The sensor system can be mounted on the robot tool or be positioned above the bin. The position of each gripped product in the gripping tool is achieved by analyzing an image of the gripped product in the gripping tool. | 10-15-2015 |
20150314455 | Method and Tool for Palletizing Mixed Load Products - The problem of the lag time in picking and dropping mixed load products during a palletization process is solved by using a tool having i) a gripping member that can be partially closed in a first fast movement while it is moved by a robot towards a product and then closed onto the product in a second shorter movement and ii) a product abutting plate that is movable in unison with the tool in opposite direction thereof as the tool is moved by a robot towards and away the mixed load pallet. | 11-05-2015 |
20150336754 | TOOL AND METHOD FOR LAYER DEPALLETIZING - The problem of potentially damaging a pallet layer that is gripped by clamps of a depalletizing tool is solved i) by detecting the real position of the layer using a pad on the tool that is movable with the clamps towards the pallet layer and whose detected stopping position determines the real position of the layer, and ii) while the layer is gripped by the clamp, by inserting under the layer curtains; the pressure on the layer by the clamps being adapted to the ease to go underneath the layer. | 11-26-2015 |
