The pressing step includes: a first pressing step of intensively pressing a first area of the electrode surface located on one side in a width direction that is perpendicular to a transfer direction in which the electrode is transferred and a thickness direction of the electrode; a second pressing step of intensively pressing a second area of the electrode surface located on the other side in the width direction; and a third pressing step of pressing the first and second areas of the electrode surface over the entire width of the electrode.
