20090216740 | Method for Indexing for Retrieving Documents Using Particles - An information retrieval system stores and retrieves documents using particles and a particle-based language model A set of particles for a collection of documents in a particular language is constructed from training documents such that a perplexity of the particle-based language model is substantially lower than the perplexity of a word-based language model constructed from the same training documents. The documents can then be converted to document particle graphs from which particle-based keys are extracted to form an index to the documents. Users can then retrieve relevant documents using queries also in the form of particle graphs. | 08-27-2009 |
20090265162 | Method for Retrieving Items Represented by Particles from an Information Database - A set of words is converted to a corresponding set of particles, wherein the words and the particles are unique within each set. For each word, all possible partitionings of the word into particles are determined, and a cost is determined for each possible partitioning. The particles of the possible partitioning associated with a minimal cost are added to the set of particles. | 10-22-2009 |

20150064759 | MODIFIED MICROORGANISM AND METHODS OF USING SAME FOR PRODUCING 2-PROPANOL AND1-PROPANOL AND/OR 1,2-PROPANEDIOL - The present disclosure provides a non-naturally occurring microorganism comprising: one or more polynucleotides encoding one or more enzymes in a pathway that produces acetyl-CoA; one or more polynucleotides encoding one or more enzymes in a pathway that catalyze a conversion of cytosolic acetyl-CoA to 2-propanol; one or more polynucleotides encoding one or more enzymes in a pathway that catalyze a conversion of dihydroxyacetone-phosphate to 1-propanol and/or 1,2-propanediol, wherein the microorganism has reduced levels of pyruvate decarboxylase enzymatic activity (e.g., the microorganism comprises a disruption of one or more enzymes that decarboxylate pyruvate and/or a disruption of one or more transcription factors of one or more enzymes that decarboxylate pyruvate), and wherein the microorganism is capable of growing on a C6 sugar as a sole carbon source under anaerobic conditions. Also provided are methods of using the disclosed non-naturally occurring microorganisms in methods for the coproduction of 2-propanol and 1-propanol and/or 1,2-propanediol. | 03-05-2015 |

20090320398 | MONOLITHIC INTEGRATED STRUCTURAL PANELS ESPECIALLY USEFUL FOR AIRCRAFT STRUCTURES AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME - Structural panels for use in manufacturing fuselage bodies and other aircraft structures are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a monolithic integrated structural panel is configured to include a skin, an array of stiffeners and an array of frames which are preferably arranged in a mutually orthogonal layout, without the need of cut-outs in any of the crossing elements. One advantage of the disclosed embodiments is that the frame and stringer members have continuous flanges and spliced webs. The disclosed embodiments herein are compatible with composite materials technology, offering another advantage, namely the possibility of manufacturing integrated products in a single cure (“one-shot”) cycle. A structure of composite materials, e.g. carbon fiber reinforced plastics, typically comprises a skin panel, reinforced by frame and stringer members. A monolithic integrated structure constructed in accordance with the disclosed embodiments is well-suited for use as a portion of an aircraft structure, for example an aircraft fuselage, wing or empennage. | 12-31-2009 |
