20100021069PDF DE-CHUNKING AND OBJECT CLASSIFICATION - Systems and methods are described that facilitate identifying objects in a document (e.g., a PDF document) for automatic image enhancement (AIE). A PDF document is “chunked” or segmented into chunks, and boundaries between chunks are identified as real or imaginary. These objects are then classified, and an AIE application is executed on objects meeting pre-specified classification criteria. In this manner, objects of r which AIE is not desired are not subjected to the AIE application, thereby saving time and processing resources associated with enhancing the document.01-28-2010

20080304696INFRARED ENCODING FOR EMBEDDING MULTIPLE VARIABLE DATA INFORMATION COLLOCATED IN PRINTED DOCUMENTS - The teachings as provided herein relate to a watermark embedded in an image that has the property of being relatively indecipherable under normal light by including a distraction pattern, and yet remains decipherable under infrared illumination when viewed by a suitable infrared sensitive instrument. This infrared mark comprises, a substrate reflective to infrared radiation, a foreground colorant mixture printed as an image upon the substrate, a background colorant mixture and a distraction colorant mixture. The foreground colorant mixture layer in connection with the substrate has a property of strongly reflecting infrared illumination, as well as a property of low contrast under normal illumination against the background colorant mixture as printed in close spatial proximity to the foreground colorant mixture pattern. A distraction colorant mixture is selected to have a substantially negligent effect on the infrared response of the foreground and background color mixtures, but as having a substantially noticeable effect of the visual response of the foreground and background color mixtures when provided as a distraction pattern, such that a resultant collocated image rendered substrate suitably exposed to an infrared illumination, will yield a discernable image evident as a infrared mark to a suitable infrared sensitive device, but remain undecipherable under normal ambient light.12-11-2008

According to one embodiment, a system comprises a database that stores configuration information for the system; an administrator module that maintains the configuration information; a federation server that is connected to a first unified communications system and a second unified communications system. The federation server comprises a first translator that translates a first formatted message received from the first unified communications system into a common language formatted message, a second translator that translates the common language formatted message into a second formatted message, and a routing engine that routes the second formatted message to the second unified communications system.10-04-2012
20140040404SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FEDERATING CHAT ROOMS ACROSS DISPARATE UNIFIED COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS - A system and method for federating chat rooms across disparate unified communications systems is disclosed. According to one embodiment, a system includes a federation server that is configured to connect to a first unified communications system and a second unified communications system. The federation server has a moderator that includes an address. The federation server has a translation engine that intercepts a first formatted message from the first unified communications system. The translation engine generates a second formatted message from the first formatted message, where the second formatted message includes a request from the moderator to a chat room with the second unified communications system to provide an invitation to the first unified communications system. The federation server routes the second formatted message to the second unified communications system.02-06-2014

20090237314BROADBAND ANTENNA SYSTEM ALLOWING MULTIPLE STACKED COLLINEAR DEVICES - A broadband antenna system is disclosed. The antenna system relates to a modified conical structure, wherein the feed region of the cone is cut away to form a hollow “coneless” cylinder, and the distribution of one or more tapered feed points around the circumference of the cylinder allows a plurality of feed lines, cables, piping, or other structures to be run through the center of the antenna without interfering with the performance of the antenna system. The invention further relates to a stacked broadband antenna system wherein additional coneless elements, as well as other types of antennas or devices, may be stacked collinearly on, or disposed coaxially to, the cylindrical antenna structure, and fed, powered or operated via the plurality of feed lines, cables, piping or other structures. The overall system may thus provide a wide range of transmitting, receiving, sensing and other capabilities. By stacking a plurality of coneless elements with other antennas, the antenna system of the present invention may provide a virtually infinite bandwidth.09-24-2009
20100141527ORTHOGONAL LINEAR TRANSMIT RECEIVE ARRAY RADAR - A radar system having orthogonal antenna apertures is disclosed. The invention further relates to an antenna system wherein the orthogonal apertures comprise at least one transmit aperture and at least one receive aperture. The cross-product of the transmit and receive apertures provides a narrow spot beam and resulting high resolution image. An embodiment of the invention discloses orthogonal linear arrays, comprising at least one electronically scanned transmit linear array and at least one electronically scanned receive linear array. The design of this orthogonal linear array system produces comparable performance, clutter and sidelobe structure at a fraction of the cost of conventional 2D filled array antenna systems.06-10-2010
20120188137BROADBAND ANTENNA SYSTEM ALLOWING MULTIPLE STACKED COLLINEAR DEVICES AND HAVING AN INTEGRATED, CO-PLANAR BALUN - A broadband antenna system is disclosed. The antenna system relates to a cylindrical structure, wherein the feed region comprises segmented radiators with tapered feed points, distributed around the circumference of the structure, and a balun that is co-planar with the cylindrical structure. This allows a plurality of feed lines, cables, piping, or other structures to be run through the center of the antenna without interfering with the performance of the antenna system. Segmentation of the radiators permits the integration of a corporate feed network, suppresses overmoding and permits operation without the need for a ground plane. The invention further relates to a stacked broadband antenna system wherein additional antenna elements or devices may be stacked collinearly on the antenna structure and operated via the plurality of feed lines or other structures. The overall system thus provides a wide range of transmitting, receiving, sensing and other capabilities over a virtually infinite bandwidth.07-26-2012
