20100147840 | Reusable, Combined Multi-Part Product Shipping Box and Display Tray - A reusable combined multi-part product shipping box and display tray. There are two generally rectangular trays, each defining four sides, with four barrier portions projecting upward from each tray proximate its edges, one barrier portion at about the center of each of the sides, and four corner posts, one projecting up from each corner of the tray. There is also a generally rectangular sleeve defining four sides and four corners, and open ends that are about the same size and shape as the trays, the sleeve adapted to engage with the trays to close its open ends and form a shipping container, the sleeve adapted to sit on the tray inside of and up against the barrier portions, with each corner of the sleeve located outside of and against a corner post, such that the sleeve is tightly engaged with the trays. | 06-17-2010 |
20100314437 | High Vertical Load Box - A box, preferably made from a unitary blank of material. The box has four interconnected sidewalls defining an open storage area that has a generally rectangular prism shape. Each sidewall defines at least a triple thickness of the material. The preferred material is corrugated paper or plastic. | 12-16-2010 |
20110101081 | Pre-Folded File Bottom Box Form and Method of Creating Same - A pre-folded file bottom box form, a method of creating the box form, and a box created from the form. The box form is created from a unitary blank of corrugated material that is die cut and creased so as to form a series of interconnected panels arranged in three rows that each include four panels. A first row has four panels that each end up in the box as a reinforcing end wall or sidewall panel; each of these panels are separated by a narrow gap. A middle row includes four panels that each end up in the box as a box end wall or sidewall panel; each of these panels is contiguous with one panel of the second row. There is a crease located between each of the middle row panels, and between each of them and the first row panel that is contiguous with it. A third row, coupled to the second row, includes first and second bottom panels and two end-wall reinforcing panels. The first and second bottom panels are each contiguous with one of the panels of the second row with a crease located between them. The end-wall reinforcing panels are contiguous with the first bottom panel with a crease located between each of them and the first bottom panel. | 05-05-2011 |

20090061535 | Method of adjusting the working range of multi-analyte assay - The invention features a method of adjusting the concentration of at least one but not all of a plurality of analytes in a fluid sample to match a known working range of detection of an analyte assay system, where each of the plurality of analytes may or may not be present within an expected initial concentration range having a high end and a low end, and at least one analyte has a high end expected concentration range that exceeds the high end of the working range of the assay system. The expected concentration of the high concentration analyte is adjusted by a proportional scaling constant, α, so that the high end of the adjusted expected concentration range is less than or equal to the high end of the working range, without adjusting the expected concentration range of at least one other of the plurality of analytes. Adjustment is preferably accomplished by adding to the solution phase of the assay one or more scaling agents, each scaling agent binding with specificity to an analyte and thereby preventing it from being detected by the assay system, e.g., by competing with binding to immobilized capture agent. This scaling method contrasts with prior methods, in which a concentration of available analyte is offset by a fixed amount to adjust the detectable threshold of the assay. Here, the amount of scaling agent is proportional to a scaling coefficient, and the scaling agent is present in the solution phase of the assay at high concentrations relative to analyte. Due to the equilibrium conditions established by the laws of mass transfer, the amount of free analyte remaining in solution in the presence of scaling agent is predictable and finite, and can be measured as a quantitative indicator of the initial concentration of the analyte in the sample. | 03-05-2009 |
