20150231020Automated Variable Zoom Software (AVZS) for Exercising the Eyes - A moving image-type eye exercise software, Automated Variable Zoom Software or AVZS, incorporated via software into a computing device visual task utilizing a window (graphical control element) such as reading, writing, graphics, games, etc. The software incorporation method is stand-alone application, incorporated module, or plug-in software application. The moving image is the window itself. The movements are repeated cyclically and constitute oscillations in the three fundamental directions: perpendicular to display (virtual), horizontal, and vertical. The oscillations are governed by code that ensures constant clarity and visually smooth and subtle transitions. These oscillations occur automatically, upon enabling AVZS, whilst the user is actively engaged in the visual task; thus, the user is able to alleviate eye strain and/or strengthen eyes without further burdening the eyes and without dedicating otherwise additional time and effort just to perform eye exercise.08-20-2015

20120250957SHAPE BASED SIMILARITY OF CONTINUOUS WAVE DOPPLER IMAGES - Continuous wave Doppler images in a data base comprising cardiac echo studies are processed to separate Doppler frames. The frames are pre-processed to extract envelope curves and their corner shape features. Shape patterns in Doppler images from echo studies of patients with known cardiac (valvular) diseases are employed to infer the similarity in valvular disease labels for purposes of automated clinical decision support. Specifically, similarity in appearance of Doppler images from the same disease class is modeled as a constrained non-rigid translation transform of velocity envelopes embedded in these images. Shape similarity between two Doppler images is then judged by recovering the alignment transform using a variant of dynamic shape warping. Since different diseases appear as characteristic shape patterns in Doppler images, measuring the similarity in the shape pattern conveyed within the velocity region of two Doppler images can infer the similarity in their diagnosis labels.10-04-2012

20100044976VEHICLE SUSPENSION WITH SELECTABLE ROLL STABILIZATION - A hydraulic suspension system for a vehicle includes a pair of cylinders on opposite sides of the vehicle. Each cylinder is divided by a piston into two chambers. When the vehicle is not making a significant turn, a switching valve connects the chambers in the same cylinder together and when a significant turn occurs, the switching valve cross connects the chambers of the two cylinders. That cross connection increases resistance of the suspension system to roll of the vehicle, as compared to when the cylinder chambers are not cross connected. A load leveling function also is included in the hydraulic suspension system.02-25-2010
20120185137Draft Control Method for Operating an Earth Moving Machine - The hitch on a vehicle is moved by a hydraulic actuator. A method for controlling the hydraulic actuator defines a draft force setpoint in response to separately averaging two forces acting on lateral sides of the hitch, while operating in a configuration mode. During regular operation, a draft load is calculated from sensing those two forces and deriving a draft force error from difference between the draft load and the draft force setpoint. The draft force error is used to control fluid flow to and from the hydraulic actuator. One aspect of the control method derates the draft force error as the hitch moves beyond a predefined threshold position.07-19-2012
