20130295371 | Thermal Storage Gelatinous Triblock Copolymer Elastomer Particles in Polyurethane Flexible Foams - Combinations of gelatinous elastomer containing one or more phase change materials, known as “phase change gel”, and polyurethane foam may be made by introducing at least partially cured phase change gel particles comprising plasticized triblock copolymer resin and/or diblock copolymer resin and one or more phase change materials, into a mixture of polyurethane foam-forming components including a polyol and an isocyanate. The phase change gel can be crosslinked to form a cured gelatinous gel, which is then reduced in size before introduction. After the foam-forming components polymerize to make polyurethane foam, the phase change gel particles are discrete visible particles dispersed throughout the foam. The polyurethane reaction is exothermic and can generate sufficient temperature to at least partially melt the styrene-portion of the triblock copolymer resin thereby extending the crosslinking. The combination of phase change gel and polyurethane foam increases the heat storage capacity and thermal conductivity of the foam. | 11-07-2013 |
20130296449 | Polyurethane Gel-Like Polymers, Methods and Use in Flexible Foams - Combinations of open cell flexible foams with polyurethane gel-like polymers, in forms such as layers of different forms and shapes, solid sheets, perforated sheets, and particles, and methods of making the combinations are described using a variety of procedures. Alternatively, the resin to make the polyurethane gel-like polymers may be infused into the polyurethane foams. The open cell flexible foam may partially or wholly comprise polyurethane foam and latex foam. | 11-07-2013 |
20130316164 | Gelatinous Triblock Copolymer Elastomer Particles in Polyurethane Flexible Foams - Combinations of gelatinous elastomer and polyurethane foam may be made by introducing a plasticized triblock copolymer resin and/or a diblock copolymer resin at least partially cured into gel particles into a mixture of polyurethane foam forming components including a polyol and an isocyanate. The plasticized copolymer resin is polymerized to form a cured gelatinous elastomer or gel, which is then reduced in size, for instance to give an average particle size of 10 millimeters or less. Polymerizing the polyol and the isocyanate forms polyurethane foam. The polyurethane reaction is exothermic and can generate sufficient temperature to at least partially melt the styrene-portion of the triblock copolymer resin thereby extending the crosslinking and in some cases integrating the triblock copolymer within the polyurethane polymer matrix. The gel component has higher heat capacity than polyurethane foam and thus has good thermal conductivity and acts as a heat sink. | 11-28-2013 |

A learning device presents the user with a question from the finite number of questions that has not been attempted by the user. If the user supplies an incorrect answer to the question, the user chooses to either accept the incorrect answer, or to repeat an attempt to answer the question with new parameters. If the maximum number of attempts to answer the question is not exhausted, the learning device supplies new parameters to the question and presents the question with new parameters to the user, and the learning device reduces the available maximum number attempts to answer the question by one. | 10-27-2011 |

20120275306 | NETWORK ASSESSMENT AND SHORT - TERM PLANNING PROCEDURE - A method for relieving network node congestion includes determining a moving average of an aggregated load on a network node that routes network traffic using historical data for a period of time for a portion of a communication network that includes the network node. Demand on the network node is projected based on the moving average. A current level of congestion on the network node is determined. A level of congestion on the network node is projected based on the projected demand and the current level of congestion. Available capacity of other network nodes in the portion of the communication network is estimated. A determination is made whether the projected level of congestion can be relieved using the estimated available capacity of the other network nodes. The communication network is reconfigured to relieve the projected level of congestion when the projected level of congestion can be relieved. | 11-01-2012 |

20130251973 | HELICAL TEXTILE WITH UNIFORM THICKNESS - A helical textile with a substantially uniform thickness has circumferential warp fibers defining a radial textile width from a textile inner diameter to a textile outer diameter. The circumferential warp fibers extend substantially in a first fiber direction. Weft fibers are inserted in a weft region between the textile inner diameter and the textile outer diameter extend substantially in a second fiber direction along a weft fiber axis. The weft fiber axis has a predefined angle with respect to a radial axis greater than zero degrees and less than ninety degrees. Knitted chain stitches secure the weft fibers to the circumferential warp fibers, where the knitted chain stitches are knitted across the weft region in a third fiber direction. The circumferential warp fibers and the weft fibers are non-interlaced, thereby forming a helical textile having a substantially uniform thickness from the textile inner diameter to the textile outer diameter. | 09-26-2013 |
