20150331720 | MULTI-THREADED, LOCKLESS DATA PARALLELIZATION - In general, techniques are described for parallelizing a high-volume data stream using a data structure that enables lockless access by a multi-threaded application. In some examples, a multi-core computing system includes an application that concurrently executes multiple threads on cores of the system. The multiple threads include one or more send threads each associated with a different lockless data structure that each includes both a circular buffer and a queue. One or more receive threads serially retrieve incoming data from a data stream or input buffer, copy data blocks to one of the circular buffers, and push metadata for the copied data blocks to the queue. Each of the various send threads, concurrent to the operation of the receive threads, dequeues the next metadata from its associated queue, reads respective blocks of data from its associated circular buffers based on metadata information, and offloads the block to a server. | 11-19-2015 |

20140130648 | BOOK TRIMMING APPARATUS - The book trimming apparatus includes guides which direct a collated and, optionally, bound book to a fore-edge trimming station. The book trimming apparatus further includes a transfer station and a side-edge trimming station. For both the fore-edge trimming station and the side-edge trimming station in each case the book is orientated so that the edge to be trimmed is arranged substantially parallel to the direction of motion of the book. The automated book trimming apparatus is particularly suited for use in combination with collation and binding stations in in-line book manufacture. | 05-15-2014 |

20090200977 | WALL SAVER - A system and associated method for preventing damage to an adjacent wall surface of an electrically operated bed that utilizes a normally closed/momentarily open switch assembly attached to the bed frame at a location such that when the bed fame is maneuvered toward an adjacent wall surface, a head of the switch contacts the wall surface before any other part of the bed frame or a proximity sensor switch is activated when the switch head is in the prescribed range from the wall surface. The push button switch is in electrical communication with the bed frame operational circuitry. When the switch activated from its depression from thw all surface contact or its proximity to the wall surface, the electrical circuitry in the system circuitry is interrupted thereby stopping the operation of the bed frame from being maneuvered and preventing damage to the wall surface. | 08-13-2009 |

20120041881 | SECURING EXTERNAL SYSTEMS WITH ACCOUNT TOKEN SUBSTITUTION - Systems, apparatuses, and methods for providing an account token to an external entity during the lifecycle of a payment transaction. In some embodiments, an external entity may be a merchant computer requesting authorization of a payment message. In other embodiments, the external entity may be a support computer providing a payment processing network or a merchant support functions. | 02-16-2012 |
20130054465 | LEAST COST ROUTING AND MATCHING - Systems and methods are disclosed for routing a transaction based on an assessment of costs associated with multiple payment processing networks. A transaction broker server determines how to route a received authorization request message for a transaction based on a first cost associated with processing the transaction via a first payment processing network and a second cost associated with processing the transaction via a second payment processing network. If the first cost is less than or equal to the second cost, the authorization request message is routed to the first payment processing network. If the first cost exceeds the second cost, at least one rule is applied to determine whether the first cost is to be reduced. If the at least one rule is satisfied, the first cost is reduced and the authorization request message is routed to the first payment processing network. | 02-28-2013 |
20140188586 | TOKENIZATION AND THIRD-PARTY INTERACTION - Processing of a transaction involving one or more third-parties and offers is described. Certain embodiments allow for suspending a received authorization request message which includes a transaction amount and a token mapped to a primary account number. One or more third-parties may be queried for an offer or discount eligible towards the transaction. The authorization request message may be adjusted to reflect one or more eligible offers from the one or more third-parties. The authorization request message may also be adjusted to replace the token with the mapped PAN. The authorization request message may then be sent to an issuer for further processing. | 07-03-2014 |

20140304158 | Processor Issuer Detection and User Level Stand-In Authorization - Embodiments of the invention are directed to systems and methods for stand-in processing using data driven capabilities. Transaction activity of an issuer may be monitored to detect a major incident and to automatically invoke stand-in processing. By modeling each individual account holder's behavior, improved authorization outcomes may be provided by a payment processing network during stand-in processing. | 10-09-2014 |
