20110153876 | HIGH-PERFORMANCE DIGITAL IMAGE MEMORY ALLOCATION AND CONTROL SYSTEM - Systems and methods are described that facilitate mitigating processor overload and reducing memory waste during image compression. Clients requesting memory allocation are assigned a direct memory access (DMA) channel to which DMA memory blocks are allocated for use during image compression. As each DMA block is used by its channel, the DMA block generates an interrupt message that is counted by a DMA counter and may be optionally processed by the CPU. If the number of interrupts being processed exceeds a first threshold, then memory block size is increased to reduce processor load. If the number of interrupts is below a second, lower threshold, then block size is decreased to reduce and amount of unused but allocated memory in the final block allocated to the channel a compressed image file. Fixed DMA block size may also be used and any DMA block may be programmed to generate an interrupt indicating a memory usage threshold has been crossed and that additional DMA memory blocks should be allocated to continue compression beyond the number of DMA blocks initially allocated. | 06-23-2011 |

The treatment container includes an overflow/bypass opening to receive stormwater that bypasses the treatment container filter media, or is only partially treated as a result of high stormwater flows in excess of the capacity of the container to treat the stormwater. The stormwater is directed into the container through an inlet, such as an inlet pipe, preferably connected to a roof drain system for processing and treating stormwater from the roof of a building. The overflow/bypass opening may be adjacent the top wall or bottom wall of the container. | 01-15-2009 |

20130319214 | Armor having a ballistic composite wrap slip layer and a laminate containment wrap - This invention relates to the use of an open, plain Leno Aramid fiber weave wrapped around the armor base plate in such a fashion that the wrap on the strike face surface is bonded with a thermoset resin while the continuous fibers around the back are left resin-free and able to distort, allowing localized deformation while keeping the remainder of the “wrap” holding tight. This wrap technique keeps the composite backing tight to the strike surface while allowing all of the benefits of localized fiber movement and tensile failure on the backside of the target. Other high performance fibers, such as fiberglass, also woven in a Leno weave and applied in the same method will yield similar results. This invention also relates to the placement of a “slip layer” between the fiber surface and the polymer coating of an armor system. This layer, consists of Teflon, silicone, or other low friction, bonding resistant materials, and prevents intimate bonding of the polymer coating to the fiber back and allows a low friction slip surface that isolates the polymer from the trauma of fiber deformation and breakage. | 12-05-2013 |

20080201611 | Defect Resolution Methodology Target Assessment Process - Embodiments of the invention are generally related to computer systems, and more specifically to the analysis of defects in computer software products. Defects uncovered during software testing may be stored in a data structure as data defects, code defects, or environment defects, along with further data describing a particular nature of the defects. The defects may be analyzed to determine a particular problem area causing the defects. If a particular class of defects is determined to be the dominant class of defects encountered during testing, an analysis path of that class of defects may be followed to determine a cause for the defects in the respective class. Therefore, corrective measures tailored to resolving the defects associated with the determined cause may be taken. | 08-21-2008 |

The system identifies automotive cores for an auction house and uses an aggregate value of the cores to determine a value of a vehicle up for bidding. Vehicle or part type information is compared to automotive core descriptions, automotive interchange numbers, and core supplier indicators to identify the automotive cores. A core value is assigned to the identified automotive cores, and an aggregate value of core inventory is determined based upon a total of assigned core values. 20160140596 | RANDOMIZED REWARD SYSTEM FOR STORED VALUE TRANSACTIONS - A transaction parameter date set comprising input variables characterizing the transaction conditions are collected when an electronic payment is initiated on an electronic payment system. The collected transaction input variables are used to calculate an expected future transaction value using a decision function. The expected future transaction value identifies high utility transaction based on a comparison of the expected future transaction value to a threshold value established while training the decision function on a training data set of known outcome. A high utility transaction can include behavior that if rewarded is likely to retain current users or grow the electronic payment system network by adding new users. If the expected future transaction value exceeds the threshold value the sender of the electronic payment is rewarded by the system. | 05-19-2016 |

20090013098 | METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING UNIVERSAL WEB ACCESS FUNCTIONALITY - A flexible electronic asset management system using Ethernet connectivity for electronic devices is presented. The invention enables multiple electronic devices to be controlled, monitored, and accessed from any browser connected to a computer network. A flattened stack approach is used to process network packet data. The flattened stack approach treats the network packet as a single string of data and uses the first few bytes of information to decide whether to drop or process the incoming data thus providing for faster network traffic processing. Since the lowest layer of the OSI stack has knowledge of what applications are active in the upper layers, the flattened stack allows the packet to be discarded at the earliest possible point so no processing power is wasted. The flattened stack also organizes its check/processing based on the raw data stream thus minimizing buffer requirements and providing for easier implementation into hardware. | 01-08-2009 |
