20080236162 | Supercharger control system - A compact, solid mount unit supercharger control system is installed at the bottom front end of the engine, directly onto the crankshaft of a vehicle. An accessory drive belt around the accessory belt pulley of the system rotates continuously to keep vehicle accessories (alternator, water pump, etc.) operating. A second belt around a larger pulley drives the supercharger blower. A switch mounted with the vehicle dashboard controls engine generated electrical current to the system. In order to activate the supercharger, the switch is turned on. Electric current flows to the system and energizes an electromagnet, creating a magnetic field which compels engagement of the rotating accessory pulley with the supercharger pulley by means of a slide plate. The belt around the supercharger pulley then rotates, operating the supercharger. When activated, the supercharger forces air into the engine cylinders for greater horsepower output with fuel/air explosions within the cylinders. This provides greater acceleration and top-end speed for the driver. If the driver does not require extra power and performance, the switch is turned off, stopping the flow of electric current. This shuts down the magnetic field, causing the pulleys to be disengaged and disconnecting the supercharger, while still allowing the crankshaft to operate the other accessories. In this mode, gasoline consumption is reduced and there is less exhaust being emitted. The control system of the present invention also reduces wear and tear on the crankshaft and other engine components for greater reliability and extended engine life. It also reduces stress and wear on the supercharger itself, while keeping it running cooler. | 10-02-2008 |

20160032166 | HOT-MELT ADHESIVE COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME, HOT-MELT ADHESIVE THERMAL CONDUCTIVE SHEET AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME - The present invention provides a hot melt adhesive composition and a preparation method therefor, and a hot melt adhesive heat-conducting sheet and a preparation method therefor on a basis of the hot melt adhesive composition. The hot melt adhesive composition at least comprises: 6 to 9 parts of thermoplastic resin, 0.40 to 0.60 parts of tackifier, and 73 to 110 parts of heat-conducting particles by weight, the softening point of the thermoplastic resin ranging from 85 to 120 degrees centigrade. Because the softening point temperature of the thermoplastic resin is higher, the softening point temperature of the prepared hot melt adhesive composition is also higher, and accordingly, the heat-conducting sheet prepared by using the hot melt adhesive composition does not flow and deform in an ordinary temperature, thereby overcoming the defects of easily flowing and deforming in the prior art; in addition, the heat-conducting sheet provided in the present invention has a smaller thickness, thereby improving heat-conducting performance of the heat-conducting sheet. | 02-04-2016 |

20110264988 | CONVOLUTIONAL CODE FOR USE IN A COMMUNICATION SYSTEM - In a communication system, a transmitter receives an input bit, and in response thereto, generates at least an n-bit codeword, each bit of which is generated by a respective one of n generators of which m are exactly the same, m being greater than n/2. A receiver comprises: m detectors, each adapted to receive the bit generated by a respective one of the m generators, and provide a respective one of m partial detection signals if a strength of the received bit exceeds a predetermined minimum threshold; and a majority logic element adapted to receive each of the m partial detection signals, and provide an output bit indicative of the input bit only if more than m/2 of the received m partial detection signals exceeds the minimum threshold. | 10-27-2011 |
20120120874 | WIRELESS ACCESS POINT CLOCK SYNCHRONIZATION SYSTEM - In an ultra-wideband (“UWB”) network, a central location engine (“CLE”) coordinates operation of an anchor access point (“AP”), AP[0], and a plurality of non-anchor AP[x]s. A clock calibration packet (“CCP”) transmission method and related apparatus facilitate normalization of CCP time references reported to the CLE by all APs. Implementing a digital phase locked loop (“DPLL”) in the CLE facilitates clock normalization. Implementing a DPLL in at least the non-anchor AP[x]s facilitates local clock synchronization, and may improve network efficiency by reducing clock synchronization traffic. | 05-17-2012 |

20100238588 | FEED-FORWARD METHOD FOR REPEATABLE RUNOUT CANCELLATION - A magnetic hard disk drive includes a method for eliminating that portion of track following error by a read/write transducer that is caused by repeatable runout of the disk tracks. The repeatable runout is eliminated by application of an iterative algorithm that calculates feed-forward correction terms based on gain coefficients iteratively calculated from the amplitude and phase portions of a Bode plot characterizing the system. The corrective coefficients can be inserted into the hard disk drive at a summing junction that redefines the centerline of the track, or at a summing junction that causes the actuator to follow the repeatable runout and make non-repeatable runout corrections relative thereto. | 09-23-2010 |

20140269144 | Direct Slurry Weight Sensor for Well Operation Mixing Process - A slurry mixing system calculates a density of a slurry using measured pressure differential and bulk velocity of the slurry. Slurry from mixing of dry blend and mix fluid enters a one or more tanks having agitators. A pump then pumps the slurry from the tank(s) to the well, and a portion of the slurry is recirculating back to a mixer. From the recirculated path, a direct slurry weight sensor measures a pressure differential of the slurry between two vertical measurement points of a known volume, and the sensor measures a velocity of the recirculated slurry. Based on these measures, the controller calculates a density of the slurry, monitors a ratio of the dry blend and the mix fluid, and adjusts the ratio based on the calculated density of the slurry if there is a discrepancy. | 09-18-2014 |
