20090188767 | HYDRAULIC SYSTEM OF A CLUTCH OF A MOTOR VEHICLE TRANSMISSION - A hydraulic system for a clutch has a pump conveying a hydraulic fluid stream via a heat exchanger to a controllable hydraulic valve which divides the hydraulic fluid stream into a first part stream and a second part stream. The first part stream flows to a reservoir via friction linings of the clutch and the second part stream flows to the reservoir via a hydraulic path bypassing the friction linings. The hydraulic system is set up for upgrading a cooling of the clutch by increasing the first part stream at the expense of the second part stream and for reducing the cooling of the clutch by increasing the second part stream. The system is set up for temporarily upgrading the cooling of the clutch in the event of a changeover of torque transfer from transfer via a first part transmission to transfer via a second part transmission of the transmission. | 07-30-2009 |

20110003662 | METHOD FOR CONTROLLING AN AUTOMATED DUAL CLUTCH TRANSMISSION - A method controls an automated dual clutch transmission of a motor vehicle. An actuating device, preferably arranged in the region of a steering wheel, for selecting the gear step of the shift transmission, which actuating device has a first and a second actuating element which, when actuated individually, cause an upshift or downshift of the shift transmission and, when actuated simultaneously, transfer the shift transmission into an idling state. When both actuating elements are actuated simultaneously, the force-transmitting clutch remains closed and consequently the selected gear remains engaged, and at the same time a clutch torque and/or an engine torque and, consequently, a drive torque acting on a driven wheel is reduced to approximately 0 Nm. It is thereby possible to tie up the force transmission again especially quickly after the termination of the idling state. | 01-06-2011 |

20120089012 | METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR NAVIGATING A CUTTING TOOL DURING ORTHOPEDIC SURGERY USING A LOCALIZATION SYSTEM - The invention provides methods and apparatus for accurately cutting bones with a surgical cutting device, such as a sagittal saw, using a surgical navigation system without use of a complex cutting jig. A surgical navigation system is used to navigate a guide tube to be used to drill a k-wire into the bone. The k-wire will act as a guide to control at least one degree of freedom of a saw blade for making a cut in the bone. In an exemplary high tibial osteotomy procedure, in which two intersecting planar cuts must be made in the tibia in order to remove a wedge of bone, a surgical navigation marker is mounted on the guide tube. The surgeon uses the surgical navigation system to navigate the guide tube to the desired varus-valgus angle and height of the first cut and then drills a k-wire into the tibia at that varus-valgus angle using the guide tube. The process is repeated for the second cut. The surgeon then uses the two k-wires as guides for controlling the varus-valgus angle of a sagittal saw for the two planar cuts. The surgeon rests the saw blade flat on the respective k-wire to define the varus-valgus angle of the cut. The saw itself also is navigated, with the surgical navigation system providing a display showing the surgeon at least (1) the varus-valgus angle, (2) the cut depth, and (3) the anterior-posterior slope. The anterior-posterior slope and the depth of the cut is controlled freehand by the surgeon. | 04-12-2012 |

20150178658 | Onboarding by Analyzing Practices of Best Hiring Managers - A system is described for improving an onboarding process by analyzing the practices of hiring managers who are successful in onboarding. The system includes analyzing completed onboarding processes to determine which hiring managers have been effective in onboarding. Effectiveness can include measuring attrition, employee performance, employee time to productivity, and employee surveys. Once successful hiring managers have been identified, the onboarding process of the successful hiring manager can be analyzed to identify one or more onboarding activities that are likely correlated with effective onboarding. This can include identifying onboarding activities that commonly appear in the onboarding processes and also onboarding activities that are frequently assigned and completed. These identified onboarding activities can be fed back to an onboarding path generator so that other hiring managers can incorporate these activities into their onboarding practice, thus improving the onboarding performance of the organization. | 06-25-2015 |
