20150306333 | MEDICAL TUBES AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE - The disclosure relates to medical tubes and methods of manufacturing medical tubes. The tube may be a composite structure made of two or more distinct components that are spirally wound to form an elongate tube. For example, one of the components may be a spirally wound elongate hollow body, and the other component may be an elongate structural component also spirally wound between turns of the spirally wound hollow body The tube need not be made from distinct components, however. For instance, an elongate hollow body formed (e.g., extruded) from a single material may be spirally wound to form an elongate tube. The elongate hollow body itself may in transverse cross-section have a thin wall portion and a relatively thicker or more rigid reinforcement portion. The tubes can be incorporated into a variety of medical circuits or may be employed for other medical uses. | 10-29-2015 |

20120059265 | Active Transducer Probes and Circuits - In an example embodiment, a method for bidirectional signal propagation comprises: a) sensing a voltage level of a first signal at a first port; b) coupling the first port to an output of an amplifier with a solid state switch if the voltage level of the first signal is less than a threshold voltage, whereby a second signal applied to a second port coupled to an input of the amplifier is propagated in a first direction from the second port to the first port; and c) bypassing the amplifier if the voltage level of the first signal is greater than the threshold voltage such that the first signal is propagated in a second direction from the first port to the second port. | 03-08-2012 |

20150174342 | PRECISE ACCURATE MEASUREMENT OF THE ADMINISTRATION OF DRUGS USING THE INJECTION METHOD BY MEANS OF ULTRASONIC PULSE-ECHO PRINCIPLES - A dosage control system includes a syringe and a dosage control module. The syringe includes a barrel and a plunger. The plunger includes a plunger seal located within the barrel and the barrel includes an end configured to connect to a needle. The dosage control module measures a first distance between the plunger seal and the end of the barrel, measures at least one second distance between the plunger seal and the end of the barrel, determines whether a predetermined amount of medication has been administered from the syringe based on a difference between the first distance and the at least one second distance, and selectively activates at least one of a visual indication and an audio indication if the predetermined amount of medication has been administered from the syringe. | 06-25-2015 |
