20150097660 | BLIND VIEW SENSOR ASSEMBLY - A blind view sensor assembly for notifying a driver whenever an object is in the blind spot of the driver's vehicle comprises an assembly base attached to the conventional side view mirror of a automobile. The assembly base attaches to the bottom of the side view mirror and utilizes an optical sensor to detect objects which enter or are otherwise present in the blind spot on the side of the vehicle it is disposed, an LED light to visually signal when a vehicle is detected in the blind spot, and a speaker to audibly sign when a vehicle is detected in the blind spot. Each assembly base installed on a vehicle automatically configures itself for the side of the vehicle on which it is mounted each time it is started. It then provides a audible and visual notification when an object is in the blind spot of the vehicle. | 04-09-2015 |

20090193607 | Method and apparatus for disinfecting handles and hand rails - An apparatus is disclosed for disinfecting or sanitizing a handle or a handrail. A sanitizer substantially surrounds a portion of a handle or handrail that would come into contact with a user of the handle or handrail, and the sanitizer and handle or handrail are moved with respect to each other so that the sanitizer sanitizes substantially the entire portion of the handle or handrail that would come into contact with a user of the handle or handrail. In one arrangement, an absorbent applicator substantially surrounds a longitudinal portion of the handle or handrail, a disinfectant is in the absorbent applicator, and a gripper holds the absorbent applicator in contact with the handle or handrail. The gripper is capable of sliding longitudinally with respect to the handle or handrail, thereby distributing the disinfectant onto the handle or handrail. In an arrangement for a movable handrail, the gripper is stationary and the movable handrail moves through the stationary gripper, thereby disinfecting the movable handrail. In another arrangement, the sanitizer includes a fluid chamber and a disinfectant in the fluid chamber. The portion of the handle or handrail which would come into contact with a user of the handle or handrail passes through the disinfectant. A wiper wipes the excess disinfectant from the handle or handrail. In one embodiment, the wiper comprises a brush or a sponge or sponge-like material. In other arrangements, the sanitizer includes an ultraviolet light or a heated sanitizer chamber or through which the handle or handrail passes. | 08-06-2009 |

20100275520 | Door edge guard for use with interior sealant - A door edge guard for protecting the trailing edge of a door having a seam covered by sealant on the interior of the door includes a metal body having an internal portion facing the trailing edge and an exterior portion, a curved base adapted to fit over the trailing edge, an exterior leg extending from the base to fit against the exterior of the door, an interior leg to fit against that part of the interior of the door extending from the base to near the sealant, and an insulating cover coextruded or laminated onto the metal body to prevent contact between the metal body and metal in the door. The end of the leg of the metal body on the exterior of the door is folded to form a bead, but the interior leg is straight. The interior leg is also shorter than the exterior leg, the length of the interior leg typically being the length of the exterior leg to the folded end of the bead. In one arrangement, the exterior leg is folded inwardly to form the bead, and in another arrangement, the exterior leg is folded outwardly to form the bead, and the exterior leg bends inwardly to add tension between the legs. Different combinations of insulating material and stainless are disclosed. In yet another arrangement, a step insulated edge is formed on the exterior end of the interior leg. | 11-04-2010 |
20120097314 | Method and apparatus for positioning door edge guard - A template for positioning a door edge guard on a vehicle is disclosed. The template includes a main body, an edge, which can form a cutout, which aligns with an item of known fixed position on the vehicle, such as a door handle, and a stop extending from the main body of the template to position one end of the door edge guard. The template is taped onto the vehicle or an easily removed adhesive is used or the template is magnetic. A method for positioning a door edge guard on a vehicle, includes the steps of creating a template having a main body, a cutout formed in the main body to fit over an item of known fixed position on the vehicle, and a stop extending from the main body, positioning the template so that the cutout fits over the item of known fixed position on the vehicle and the stop extends to the edge of the door, which is to receive the door edge guard, and positioning the door edge guard on the edge of the door so the one end of the door edge guard abuts the stop. In a preferred method, the item of known fixed position on the vehicle is the door handle that is on the door to which the door edge guard is applied. A preferred method also includes either taping the template in place or including an easily removed adhesive on the vehicle side of the template. | 04-26-2012 |
20120282565 | Dental appliance with tension band and method for making - A method of making an orthodontic appliance for repositioning teeth or as a retainer according to the present invention includes preparing a dental model for the fabrication of an orthodontic aligner, placing the dental model on a thermo-forming machine, thermoforming a soft flexible material onto the dental model, the soft flexible material having adhesive material covered by release liner, on the side facing away from the portion of the dental model to which it is thermoformed, trimming off excess soft flexible material from the dental model, peeling off the release liner to expose the adhesive material, applying a predetermined length of flexible tension strain material to the adhesive side of the soft flexible material, thermoforming a harder, more rigid material over the soft flexible material which has the flexible tension strain material attached, and trimming the excess hard material from the dental model. In a preferred form of the method, the soft flexible material has a pressure sensitive film on the patient's palate side, covered by a release liner. The method further includes the steps of removing the finished orthodontic appliance from the dental model, removing the remaining release liner from the soft flexible material, and placing the dental appliance into a patient's mouth. | 11-08-2012 |
20130061531 | Edge Guard for Door with Interior Sealant - A door edge guard for a trailing edge of a car door having a seam covered by sealant on the interior of the door, includes a metal body having an internal portion facing the trailing edge of the door and an exterior portion facing away from the trailing edge, a curved base adapted to fit over the trailing edge, and an exterior leg extending from the base to fit against the exterior of the door. An interior leg fits against that part of the interior of the door extending from the base to near the sealant. The end of the leg of the metal body on the exterior of the door is folded to form a bead, but the interior leg is straight. The interior leg is also shorter than the exterior leg, the length of the interior leg typically being the length of the exterior leg to the folded end of the bead. | 03-14-2013 |

20130065192 | Procedure and device for enabling a dental element to be applied to a dental arch - A process of applying at least one dental element to a patient's arch employs a device comprising a support tray shaped to fit to at least a portion of a patient's dental arch. A formed, liquid-soluble material (such as a thin starch layer formed from a starch sheet) is supported by the support tray and holds at least one dental element in a location for allowing an exposed surface of the at least one dental element to be applied to a patient's dental arch. Afterwards, the support tray is removed from the liquid-soluble material and the liquid-soluble is removed by dissolving it in a liquid, such as water. | 03-14-2013 |
