The process preferably produces a rapid buildup of molecular weight and/or polymer uniformity by the high temperature transesterification of the condensation polymer with the modifying monomer mixture. 20080236444Silver Ink Compositions Containing An Additive For Inkjet Printing - The present invention provides an aqueous ink containing ≧3% silver particles having much improved adhesion. It has been found that the adhesion can be improved by adding an aqueous cationic dispersion of a styrene/acrylate copolymer, PEI (polyethyleneimine), or arabinogalactan as an additive to the ink. The advantage of using one of these materials to improve the adhesion of the silver ink is the stability of the ink is maintained and the resistivity goal is met when printed onto the specified media. In other words, this invention provides a silver ink with great adhesion properties while still able to meet the <0.1 Ω/square resistivity requirement and remain stable for up to 4 weeks at 60° C. at accelerated oven aging conditions.2008-10-02

The flakes are used in a composition, such as ink or paint, to provide a covert security feature to an object. In some embodiments the composition includes base pigments and shaped taggent flakes matching the visual characteristics of the base pigment. In another embodiment, clear covert flakes are mixed in the carrier with base pigment. The composition is used to print a field on the object, such as a stock certificate or bank note. The liquor air ports and the tertiary air ports are on the same opposing walls of the furnace and are substantially vertically aligned with air ports in the same wall at different levels. The liquor air ports are located just above the black liquor guns, within a range of about ½ foot to about four feet. The tertiary air ports are laterally offset with respect to the tertiary air ports on the opposing wall of the furnace. The first tertiary air level is located a vertical distance in the range of about four feet to twelve feet above the elevation of liquor air ports, and the second and any additional tertiary air levels are located and spaced from an adjacent tertiary air level at regular spaced vertical intervals in the range of about four feet to eight feet.
