The blend physically and chemically modifies the soil to which it is applied to accomplish the soil strengthening and stabilization impacts, and is applicable to a wide range of soil types and conditions. The improved hardening and curing characteristics of the blend results from the presence of certain chemical constituents of the lime kiln dust and the impact of these constituents on the cement component of the blend.
