20210080467 | USE OF SK1 AS BIOMARKER FOR PREDICTING RESPONSE TO IMMUNECHECKPOINT INHIBITORS - Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) have revolutionized therapy for advanced cancer, however many patients still do not respond to treatment. However, the efficacy and effectiveness of these therapies varies greatly across individual patients and among different tumour types. A substantial unmet need is thus the development of biomarkers of response to ICI, in order to identify, before initiation of treatment, which patients are likely to experience a response to and clinical benefit from such treatments. Here, the inventors analyzed SPHK1 mRNA in tumor biopsies by in situ hybridization using the RNAscope technology in a cohort of 32 patients suffering from metastatic melanoma. They showed that elevated expression of SPHK1, encoding sphingosine kinase 1 (SK1), which produces the oncometabolite sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P) is associated with a poor survival in metastatic melanoma patients treated with to the well-known immune-checkpoint inhibitor anti-PD-1 antibody. Accordingly, the present invention relates to the use of SK1 as biomarker for predicting response to immune-checkpoint inhibitors. | 2021-03-18 |

The techniques include receiving the return points from at least one RADAR sensor of the vehicle. One or more clusters based on or from the return points are generated. An estimated position and velocity of each of the one or more clusters is computed. A Recursive Least Squares (RLS) based algorithm is proposed to estimate the instantaneous velocity of a cluster in real-time that allows for accurate track-cluster association, removes the need to perform computationally expensive non-linear state updates, and allows for the estimation of the true velocity even in frames with a large amount of clutter. If it is determined that the one or more clusters are associated with an existing object track, the existing object track is updated using at least the respective positions of the one or more clusters associated with the existing object track. | 2021-03-18 |

20210080561 | VEHICLE SENSOR WITH INTEGRATED RADAR AND IMAGE SENSORS - A vehicular sensing system includes a sensor module disposed at the vehicle. The sensor module includes first and second radar sensors and a camera. A field of sensing of the first radar sensor is encompassed by a portion of a field of view of the camera and a field of sensing of the second radar sensor is encompassed by another portion of the field of view of the camera. Outputs of the radar sensors and the camera are communicated to a control. The control, responsive to processing of the outputs of the radar sensors, detects the presence of an object exterior the vehicle and within the field of sensing of at least one of the first and second radar sensors. The control, responsive to detection of an object via processing of the outputs of the radar sensors, processes the output of the camera to classify the detected object. | 2021-03-18 |
