The method includes receiving one or more manually generated tags associated with a video file, based at least in part on the one or more manually entered tags, determining a preliminary category for the video file, and based on the preliminary category, generating a targeted transcript of the video file, wherein the targeted transcript includes a plurality of words. The method further includes generating an ontology of the plurality of words based on the targeted transcript, ranking the plurality of words in the ontology based on a plurality of scoring factors, and based on the ranking of the plurality of words, generating one or more automated tags associated with the video file.2013-03-07
20130060785KNOWLEDGE REPRESENTATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS INCORPORATING CUSTOMIZATION - Techniques for analyzing and synthesizing complex knowledge representations may utilize an atomic knowledge representation model including an elemental data structure and knowledge processing rules stored as machine-readable data and/or programming instructions. The elemental data structure may include a universal kernel and one or more customized modules. The universal kernel may represent knowledge that is generally applicable to a population, and the customized modules may represent knowledge that is specifically applicable to individual data consumers.2013-03-07
20130060786TEXT-BASED SEARCHING OF IMAGE DATA - A method and system are disclosed for conducting text-based searches of images using a visual signature associated with each image. A measure of string similarity between a query and an annotation associated with each entry in a first database is computed, and based upon the computed string similarity measures, a set of entries from the first database is selected. Each entry of the first database also includes an associated visual signature. At least one entry is then retrieved from a second database based upon a measure of visual similarity between a visual signature of each of the entries in the second database and the visual signatures of the entries in the selected set. Information corresponding to the retrieved entries from the second database is then generated.2013-03-07
20130060787CASE ANALYSIS SYSTEM - Systems and methods for cases based analysis are described. In one implementation, a new case-based document having static attributes and dynamic attributes is received. Once the static and the dynamic attributes are received, the static attributes of the received new case-based document is compared with the static attributes of one or more previously processed case-based documents. Based on the comparison, a sub-set of case-based documents is generated. For the generated sub-set, the dynamic attributes of the new case-based document are compared with the dynamic attributes of the sub-set of case-based documents. Based on the comparison, previously processed case-based documents, if any, which are found to be similar to the new case-based document are identified.2013-03-07
