20090055412Bayesian Surety Check to Reduce False Positives in Filtering of Content in Non-Trained Languages - A Bayesian spam filter determines an amount of content in incoming email messages that it knows from training. If the filter is familiar with a threshold amount of the content, then the filter proceeds to classify the email message as being spam or legitimate. On the other hand, if not enough of the words in the email are known to the filter from training, then the filter cannot accurately determine whether or not the message is spam. In this case, the filter classifies the message as being of type unknown. Different threshold metrics can be used, such as the percentage of known words, and the percentage of maximum correction value used during processing. This greatly improves the processing of emails in languages on which the filter was not trained.2009-02-26

20090055439Flexible Dimension Approach In A Data Warehouse - Disclosed herein is a computer implemented method for dynamically adding dimensions specific to a tenant in a data warehouse without changing the structure of the fact table. Metadata is provided in a metadata table of a warehouse staging layer to map natural key values of the dimensions, obtained from predefined placeholder columns of a source transaction table, to predefined master tables. In the warehouse staging layer, a distinct combination of the natural key values obtained from the source transaction table is assigned a surrogate key. The surrogate key is updated in the bridge table of the warehousing layer. A fact table is then populated with the assigned surrogate key of the bridge table. Views are dynamically created for the dimension tables of the dimensions to connect the fact table to the dimension tables via the bridge table.2009-02-26

20090055483Enhanced Collaboration in Instant Messaging - A method, system and computer-usable medium for providing synchronous, real-time collaboration in an instant messaging system (IMS). A shared workspace is created on the IMS, accessible by IMS users through a collaboration window implemented on their respective IMS clients. Predetermined digital content is entered into the shared workspace by an IMS initiating user. Modification operations are then synchronously performed in real-time on the digital content by one or more IMS modifying users within their respective collaboration windows. Modification operations performed by a first IMS modifying user block a second IMS modifying user from performing their own modification operations until the first IMS modifying user relinquishes control. Predetermined visual attributes are assigned to each IMS modifying user to visually track the modifications they make.2009-02-26

20090055485LOCATION BASED ANONYMOUS INSTANT MESSAGE EXCHANGE METHOD AND SYSTEM - An anonymous instant messaging system that protects a user's identity and location while allowing numerous users to communicate without being acquainted is disclosed. To request information a user selects a geographical location and relevant topic. The user then sends the information request to a message bot via an instant messenger client. A user geographic and topic matching system provides an active matching users list to the message bot. The message bot then sends the information request message to all of the matching users. The matching users receive and read the information request from the message bot. If a user chooses to reply to the message, the user sends their response to the message bot. The user geographic and topic matching system gives the original question issuer's instant messenger identification to the message bot. The message bot passes the reply to the information request to the original question issuer.2009-02-26
20090055486INSTANT MESSAGING NETWORK CAMERA - An instant messaging network camera has a processor, an image sensor, an audio receiver, an input device, a network connecting module and memory. The processor has a video and an audio encoder. The image sensor is electronically connected to the processor and captures images. The network connecting module is used to connect to an instant messaging service server over the Internet and is electronically connected to the processor. The memory is electronically connected to the processor and has an automatic operating process. The automatic operating process is executed by the processor to log on to an instant messaging service, receive viewing requests sent from a client device also logged on to the instant messaging service and send images to the client device. Therefore, a user can set up and control the network camera easily over the instant messaging service for increased security.2009-02-26
